The guys at this place are awesome, our daughter hit a tire on the freeway and her car was making some noises and she was afraid to drive it, and the check engine light came on. They checked the car out and told her it was safe to drive and that the engine light was on because the oxygen sensors were disconnected by the tire. So fortunately she was able to drive her car home thanks to the great service they gave her. They put it up on their rack so pictures could be taken and looked the whole car over. They did not charge our daughter anything. We would definitely use this company if ever needed. We appreciate all that they did and how well they treated our daughter.

My breaks seized up. I told the good people at 409 Automotive that I couldn t afford much. They fixed my breaks FOR FREE and gave me a super reasonable quote on the repairs I ll be needing in the future! Very honest, fair, nice people working there! Will definitely be going there for all my automotive needs in the future.

Absolute nicest crew here!About a week ago my car ran over something in the road and messed up the bottom of the entire car. I had never had anything like that happen before so I took it in and they were so kind and helpful. They helped me take photos of everything and helped me figure out what to do. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who s considering it!

Finally someone good enough to fix my car! Kendall Chevy in Eugene couldn't even fix. Remington is great mechanic, great customer service and best rate in town. Id recommend 409 Automotive.

I guess I wish you would have fixed the 86 Nissan pickup correctly before co-signing it to Hamilton s Auto sales. I would have paid to have new clutch installed with new throw out bearing but I guess I ll have someone else do it since you wanted to sell it with those mechanical problems. We were traveling on a camping trip, and our check engine light came on.We pulled into this place and received the best service possible. They diagnosed it , help clean the sludge off a sensor and helped us get back on the road. Overall we highly recommend this shop. Honest and great customer service. Remington took the time to ride along in my car and figure out what the problem might be. The solution ended up being something very simple and he didn't charge for the time. I recommend checking with 409 first when you need some auto service.

I've taken my car here twice, one for an electrical issue and once because I was having a misfire. When I had my electrical issue, he claimed it would take around 2 weeks because it was on the 4th of July weekend, 2 days later he called and had fixed it, second time he said about 1 week and he replaced most of my cylender components, so spark plugs coils and wires. Jim's Automotive saved me almost a thousand dollars verses the dealership! Even if it hadn't I would still recommend Jim's Automotive. Jim is very nice and obviously skillful. I called about an issue with my car and he told me I could bring it in that day. When I showed up he was obviously swamped with work, but he still found time to inspect my car and - as I mentioned - saved me tones of money. He was also willing to talk with me before and after even though he was so busy. A real class act. I doubt he needs any more work, but if you need some done than he is the first mechanic you should call.

I was traveling and stranded. 409 did everything they could to get my car in and get me back on the road. They were friendly, kind, and competent. I went to Jim's automotive after landlord recommend ed him. He checked to see if what was draining battery off and on. I was very pleased with his service and no charge for the diagnostic.

Outstanding customer service. Jim Bales auto shop is one of the best, if not, the best that Cottage Grove offers. Friendly and trustworthy, Jim's Automotive will provide you with a reliable assessment of your car trouble and if he can't fix it that moment or doesn't have time (he's a one man shop and is incredibly busy on occasion), he will recommend a great alternative nearby or a DIY remedy until he can get to it.

Jim was a life saver! I wish I could give him more stars. I broke down two hours from home and was stranded. I was lucky enough to find his shop and Jim was able to get me up and running in a few hours. So thankful! His prices were fair and honest and he was more than helpful with my situation. I wish I lived local so I could take my car there for regular service. Thank you, Jim!

We took our car to another shop and they quoted us $3100 and had our car for weeks. We decided to take it to Jim and he got it fixed in 2 hours for $150. He was extremely helpful and kind as well!
