Wanted to write this review specifically about Ron. Ron has made a consistent effort to help us even though I didn t end up being a paying customer (upon his free inspection he discovered my car s engine is shot). Ron didn t care that I wasn t a paying customer, he helped me just the same, going above and beyond even after my car was out of his hands. I think that says a lot about the service you ll get here. Easy 5 stars. Quality people at this shop.

Great guys here. Super fast at getting the work done on my car. And a warranty on the work!!!!...that's amazing. Easy to make an appointment they got me in right away. I will always get my car worked on here. Thank you G&J you guys rock.

I called them yesterday about a part that needed to be replaced before I moved across the country next week, they were all so accommodating and were able to squeeze me in to look at my car the very next day. They got back to me about an hour later and could ship the part that day and replace it. The two guys are the counter even gave me a student discount which was very sweet and were telling me about how my car is in good shape. If I was staying here I would continue to give them my business. Very sweet people at this shop.

Great customer service! Gave me a ball park estimate which was very close to the actual quote. Also got my car in and out 2days earlier than they had estimated. Will be going here for future maintenance and repairs. So I called ask for a quotation (tire replacement)This dude says 78$ (without asking me how many tires I need to replace)I said including everything? This dude yes But when I pulled upIt s not 78$It s 780$These shady scammers will try to scam you if they perceive you are vulnerable.Instead I went to Firestone and get my tire replaced with a much better and smooth experience.(and a cheaper price)And dude(the white dude at the reception desk), don t talk to me like that, I don t own you anything.

I had a very good experience here. I called earlier this week and they got me in right away, which no other mechanic could do in Corvallis. They were incredibly polite and listened to me when I told them what was wrong with my car. The diagnostics didn t take long at all and they immediately called back and told me how much it would cost and it was very affordable. They re replacing the cooling fans, fixing my front left tire rod, and doing an alignment. Just to get my cooling fans replaced at another place I went to in Portland was the same exact price that G & J is charging me to get all of this done. It was a huge relief and they re getting it all done today. I don t post many reviews but this place definitely earned 5 stars.

My engine light was flashing, and I could hear my engine gurgle. Called AAA, and they gave me three shops. All of these were booked, but G&J said to bring it in and will see it first thing in the morning. I live on the coast, so I would have to stay overnight. They were worried about me, so they tried to check and fix my car immediately.Ron, Randy, and Travis were my superheroes that day. I appreciate their thoughtfulness and sliding me in to ensure I could drive safely home that evening.They also stand by their maintenance.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Just gave these guys a call concerning my 09 corolla. Asked about an engine tune up. They said not a lot is required for these newer 4 cyl engines and gave me a few tips over the phone. Good guys

I got my car towed here after closing and they were very professional with diagnosing my car. The guys here were very honest about the problem and did a great job fixing it. Also, my skid plate was broken and I had fixed it with duct tape but they used zip ties to fix it for free!! Very honest guys here, professional service, and good prices. Highly recommend!

Took the car in because of the check engine light. They "said" they diagnosed the issued and I agreed to pay. Over 400 dollars later the light is still on and now they think it could be something else. What did I pay over 400 for then? No refund no discount on the further work... just another fix and test shop hoping that one of their guesses is correct. Avoid these shade tree mechanics at all costs.... Also, on the AAA website it says they are a AAA trusted shop... not sure what happened there but, dont believe it.... totally not true. When I brought up AAA they didnt know what I was talking about. Again, just dodgy and disappointing. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Also, I would not believe a single positive review on here.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Best car experience between owning three cars, and going to a couple mechanics. They were very thorough with explaining my issue and the amount it would be. And keeping me updated on when my car would be ready. Only with my approval did they work on my car. There was no mystery to this experience which is huge with any car repair as issues get more complicated. Highly recommend!

Receptionist is great, the person who serviced us was great. It was fast , I was on my way in no time. Love the simplicity and efficiency. I am grateful for your service and speed. This guy Mike though, I pulled my car into the shop a bit because I thought it would be more convenient for the technicians to service my car, I can hear him shouting "what the hell?! Out of the shop! Get Out! Out! Out! Out!". OK I get it the first time and i am sorry I pulled into an empty bay not even a quarter of the way, with no car ahead or behind me.

Dennis and his son in law William were great to work with every step of the way. We traveled about a hour to look at one of their vehicles and they were responsive by email and very pleasant to work with in person. The vehicle was exactly as advertised and they were very much low pressure about our decision to buy or not. Once we decided we wanted the vehicle they were efficient and made the purchase process a positive one. Would definitely use them over and over if it works out that way in the future.

Fantastic place. I took my lexus to Toyota of Corvallis because it wouldn t start. They said it had no compression and needed a new $6000 engine replacement. I didn t believe them and had the lexus towed to G and J. There they diagnosed it as fuel wash and had it running back as normal fit $200.Service: Auto maintenanceService: Auto maintenance

The ABS light went on in my Toyota. I saw the positive Google reviews for G&J and was nearby. I went in and they ran a diagnostic. And charged me $143. A male friend later told me most auto parts stores would have done this for me for free. Ladies, beware, these guys see you coming!

I brought my old car in to get a cost estimate for the brakes and G and J Auto gave a much better price than Les Schwab. I dropped the car off in the morning and they had the brakes done right away in about an hour! They were very accommodating, professional, and kind. Could not be happier, the car is braking so well now, it's like night and day difference. No more metal screeching sounds or having to step really hard on the pedal. Thank you! 10/10 would recommend.

Had my alternator replaced here as my first mechanic shop experience in town. I was called to pickup my car in an hour and a half after the car was towed there.Very transparent pricing. I shopped around to get quotes over the phone, which is difficult, and G&J is the best in explaining the components and what might be extra charges. The bill is exactly same as the quote, and they put extra work to grind and replace a bolt. Both the towing company (use B&R, no bob's! spread the word!) and G&J provide amazing service and made a panic road accident much easier. Thank you!!

Car broke down as we entered Corvallis, and fortunately we saw this auto repair shop. We are AAA members and saw this designation on the sign. Instead of helping us, they insisted we move our vehicle out of the parking lot immediately. We chugged across the street, called AAA and had car towed while we arranged a rental car. This shop was not helpful or kind.

Overview-5 stars - Quality5 stars - Cost5 stars - ExperienceThis place is absolutely amazing - to the level that even though I now live over an hour from them I still make the drive to have them do all of my vehicle work. They have done a bunch of small and larger jobs on 2 of my cars (both older Chevy's) now and I can't say enough good words about them.What I have to say I like most is their ability to wok with you while not belittling your intelligence. As a young women I find some car mechanics to assume I'm uninterested in the work that's being done on my car...not at G & J. The man at the front desk is always open to walking me into the shop and show me the exact areas of issue on my car, what it's supposed to look like, etc. Additionally, they are willing to work with you to find a solution to any issue within your budget. They talk to you like it's there car and truthfully tell you what should be done immediately and what can wait a bit. It has been an absolute pleasure using G & J as my primary auto people. I've recommended dozens of people to them and will continue to do so!

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Very clean and organized shop. Had them replace the bearings in my rear end and rear axle with just a few days notice and they had it done within the same week. Other shops were booking this job 5-6weeks out. Highly recommend.

Love G & J, they re absolute sweethearts. So easy-going this experience was amazing, i m in love with my new camry. Also beyond thankful they were willing to work and negotiate with my situation to make something happen. Down to earth honest people, would definitely recommend checking them out! :) 10/10

I brought my Car in for repair after going to the dealership. These guys charged me 300 less than the dealership was going to for the exact same repair. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I totally trust them to fix what my car needs and tell me about my car even if it is not good news. They will inform you and let you make the decision not just pressure you into doing what is best for their shop.

It's the Friday afternoon before the Christmas weekend and my car breaks down. They were willing and able to see my car as soon as it got towed to them. I was so stressed that I wasn't going to have a car over the holiday weekend and that I would come back to a huge bill. The problem was fixed fast and I had my car back within 1.5 hours, with a low bill. I am still in shock and awe that I have my car back in working order after resigning myself to a car-less weekend. Thank you guys so very much!!
