Brought a car in here for a used car inspection. The price tag (which is well below average, I've just never done something like this before) scared me at first, but I decided to go for it and I'm SO glad I did. I got a call back an hour after I dropped it off and the man (didn't catch his name but he had a white beard) was very knowledgeable and upfront with me. He provided an estimate for the repairs and told me flat out that it wasn't worth what it was being sold for and I shouldn't buy it. It was exactly what I wanted. All the reviews are true, this is not the kind of place that will take advantage of women and/or people who are obviously inexperienced with cars. I highly recommend it

We bring all our work vehicles here for repairs. They are great about getting us scheduled in quickly and fixing the problem so we can get our vans back on the road. They do great work and that is why we ve been customers for over 10 years!

What a wonderful experience! First contacted D & B for a second opinion on a quote from another shop, (so I'm not a regular customer, just a random phone call). They spent more than an hour going back and forth with me, detailing all costs and letting me know something just doesn't add up, and their quote for the same service was about $800 dollars less. I was already convinced to go there by their customer service but the price couldn't be beat. They got me in the shop the same week (during a 3 digit heatwave!!) took me on a drive to make sure they understood the noise I was hearing, and then went on to inspect my car fully. Called me later to tell me what the other shop found was in fact NOT broken, told me two DIFFERENT things that needed to be fixed at some point in the future and then sent me on my way. I have to be clear that I did not pay a single penny for all of this AND they wouldn't accept a tip because "its our job to take care of you". WOW. Im a lifetime customer now, and you should be too!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I cannot recommend these folks highly enough! I have referred multiple family members to them over the past year and just recently had them work on one of my cars and it was five star service from beginning to end! Jack, Kalista, and the whole crew are top-notch people who do incredible work, they had my car in and out in such a quick amount of time I couldn t believe it!

I can't say enough good things about D&B Bear! Someone had tried to break into my car when it was parked across the street from D & B and when I tried to start it my car turned half way over and I couldn't get it to turn on or off. I called roadside assistance and they were going to tow it to the dealership but the dealership said they were so backed up it would be almost 6 weeks before they could even look at it leaving me stranded without a car. I called D&B and explained my situation and one of the mechanics walked over and fixed my car right there on the side of the road immediately. They were so amazing and have certainly earned my business moving forward. They are truly good people!!!

When you find a good mechanic, you have to keep them. D & B has been a reliable place with fast and honest service. I just picked my car up from them. They were done earlier than expected and for the exact price they quoted, which was lower than every other place I looked. Friendly. Honest. I would recommend their services.

D&B bear provides Excellent Car Service. I had my truck in they replace the water pump and now I have air conditioning back! Awesome job folks! My girlfriend took her car in and all they needed was spark plugs and new wires and it runs like a champ now. They do excellent work highly recommend D&B bear.

If I could give more stars I would! Calista( hope I spelled it correctly)went above and beyond to help get the correct information to get my issue fixed. Spending 15 plus mins on hold with a dealership and getting nowhere ,then contacting a parts store to get help and the correct part. Appreciate that I was told there might be a sensor issue if I had the work done and they don't have the equipment to reset it.I decided to chance it. I am so glad I did!! The tech did a great job AND no sensor issue.I will absolutely refer everyone to D and BHonest,careing people.Service: Steering & suspension repair

The best auto shop in the Willamette Valley! Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. After a less than satisfactory experience at Subaru of Corvallis I could not be more satisfied with D & B Bear. I made an appointment to have my brakes looked at and and a general check to verify my used vehicle was road safe. The Fuel pump went out the day of the appointment.I approved replacement of the fuel pump and a full service. I was told it would cost $520 and that they would check my breaks and let me know if there was any problems.When I got there the bill was $570 and they had ONLY fixed the fuel pump and changed my oil, and it had taken them 2 full business days to do it. They had ignored my request to drive the vehicle and do a general check to see if there were any other problems that needed to be addressed despite it being on the invoice, and gave me excuses about part prices.I've gone to them in the past and was very happy, but I have to say I am significantly less impressed this time.

This shop really saved us. In the middle of a road trip from the Oregon coast to Salt Lake City, our alternator went out. These guys showed some serious class and kindness in getting us into the shop and back on the road in no time, which was incredibly amazing for us. They also charged a very fair rate, less than our usual mechanic at home! Services: Electrical, Battery

My parents have owned D & B Bear service for nearly 40 years. They pride themselves on being honest and always putting the customer first. They also have always offered friendly service. My father started working at his family s business when he was 12 years. His experience is something that you don t find that often. I took my car to another automotive shop in town for a tune-up. They quoted me a tune up at over $1,000 and said that I would need basically everything in my van replaced. I called D&B bear to find out what they would charge for the same service, and I was quoted less than a third of the price from the other shop. Needless to say I took my van to D&B bear and I couldn't be happier. They finish the job in just a couple of hours, they were honest, and transparent in their practice. They have a repeat customer in me.

I've always liked these guys. They are fair and honest. Here's one example: had my car in for a thermostat replacement and to check out a weird sound. They did the thermostat. Regarding the sound, they found something that needed to be fixed. Gave me the bill and I paid. No worries, right?At the end of the business day, I got a call from them. They had a boss guy checking over the invoices of the day and determined that my job should have been billed less. They called to let me know they were refunding me $50.How many mechanics shops are doing that?

I've used this place over the years when I need something done that I don't want to do myself. I'd say for the past 20 years or so that I've used them I have found them to be HONEST, fair, and do quality work. This time they even did a few extra things for me at no charge. Amazing!!!

They are definitely over rated! Don't trust all these 5 star ratings! I used to have good experience with them 6 years ago but recently I took in my VW for front alignment and paid $60 (more expensive than anywhere else) with disappointing results. They don't even have electronic devices. Their excuse is "the computer can be fooled to show any number!". That doesn't mean the electronic alignment equipment are not more accurate than the old school stuff! It all depends on how honest you are!After wasting time by taking the car in and picking it up in the afternoon (no they don't even have a parking lot! If something happens to your car you are on your own!) They said they couldn't align the car but still charged me $60!!! They blamed it on the tires which was absolutely not true because tires where in good shape on both front sides. Car was still pulling to left! I took the car home and did the alignment with a piece of string and a few test drive and readjustments.Lesson learned! If you do a repair and the bill is $500-1000 or more they may let the real mechanic do the alignment but if you go in just for an alignment they give the job to those less skilled workers who can't get a job anywhere else!I do not recommend them as they lost their integrity!

Had a great experience here. Car was misfiring. They changed the plugs and wires, had it done in half a day at a pretty good price. Most importantly, he was good about communicating the work he was going to do and the price. He called with an estimate and did the work well.

We had some problems with our radiator on our way home for thanksgiving and ended up at d & d. They told us we needed a new radiator, but it was late in the day and no one in town had one. We didn't end up having the work done here because of travel logistics but they were very helpful and kind enough to let us hang out in their office with a dog and baby while we figured out our tow truck. Very nice folks.

I've used D & B for years for their integrity, high quality workmanship, fair prices, and how far they go to ensure customer satisfaction. This latest example exemplifies this: New front pads and rotors installed on my Audi. The new pads generated more brake dust than I was comfortable with. They offered to replace the semi-metallic pads with ceramic ones and charged me only the surcharge that ceramic pads cost over the others. WOW!

I needed new spark plugs, and they originally thought I would need new wiring as well. When I picked it up they had only replaced the plugs because the wiring was still good so I ended up almost $100 under the quote. They also informed me if some other work I would need to have done soon, which was very helpful.

I m not happy with D & B Bear Service because they are making me pay a second fee to do work they should have done the first time. We went to them to replace the timing belt in our car, and they did that just fine. The thing is, they never told me the oil seals are leaking and might have to replace the belt again because of the oil damage. While we only asked them to replace the belt, but they mentioned our left motor mount needed to be fixed, but they should have mentioned to us that the oil seals needed to be replaced as well. Apparently, because we weren't "clear" enough, we get to pay a second fee for something that should have been done the first time. Overall I just wish they would give me the option to have the crankshaft seal replace like what happen to customer services.

Very knowledgeable and friendly. We were recommended to them by our neighbors and rightly so! They did a great job fixing our car and did it so fast it surprised us and all of my coworkers. Thanks for getting us back on the road so quickly.

I checked 'service not listed' because I took my car in for a tune-up and it didn't need it nor did they charge me. This is a first in my 50+ years of car ownership. They were very friendly and must be more than just nice people since the shop was hopping w/cars being serviced.

The folks here are thorough, honest, prompt, and provide quality service. I know everyone says their preferred mechanic shop is the best, but you need to believe the hype about D & B Bear.

Really appreciate the mechanics here! Our car had problems and they thought they fixed it after a day but unfortunately it wasn t fixed and we were a little bummed. A little less than a week later they had it all fixed. They even picked me up so I could get my car once it was fixed!

They were supposed to replace my tie rods. They are faulty. My vehicle was on worst condition AFTER they replaced them. Don t recommend. Would love my $500 back, but they won t answer the phone.
