I would recommend this shop! I took my Acura there about a year ago to get transmission cooler and they did a great job. So recently I took my truck there to get u joints put in and check my brakes. Price was good and they did not charge me to look at my brakes. I was expecting to pay at least one hour. The work was done quickly and in the time line I was told, that alone was enough to get me to come back.Services: Transmission, Brakes

It seems this place only employs parts changers, not technicians. I brought in my truck due to reverse not working, the guy helping me was professional and easy to work with. They called me back about 30 minutes after dropping my pickup off with a quote for $3570 for a complete transmission rebuild, I was on a road trip and that wasn t going to work for me so I carefully made the 400 mile drive home. In addition to the time constraints my pickup is only worth about 3k so it would be a total loss to dump that much money into. I have little knowledge of transmissions but was able to diagnose the issue as a rear band adjustment after pulling the pan in my driveway with basic hand tools, $64 of fluid/gaskets and a simple adjustment of a single nut later and my truck is completely fixed. It s a shame they would take advantage of non mechanically inclined people because it was truly a simple fix and I would ve been happy to pay a few hundred for them to do it.I don t enjoy bashing on reviews but places like this give all mechanics a bad look when they can t diagnose an issue that a teenager did with 15 minutes of googling my symptoms.

Their hours are incorrect in every place you look, and the office was dingy and reeked of cigarettes. After a week of waiting for them to even check my car, the guy I spoke with talked way too fast, explained very little, and said I needed a full transmission rebuild for $6000 (when a quick fix would have been sufficient). I had been warned about them, and I was sad to see that they were just as shady as I heard. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. At least the diagnostic check was free, and they didn't harass me when I decided not to use their services. I wouldn't recommend this place.***Update: I just found out that they intentionally put our battery in incorrectly after we told them we would be going elsewhere. There was no reason for them to look at the battery, as they were checking our transmission. They left the caps off, so the battery has been leaking acid into our car and we had to get it replaced. Not at all happy with this service, and I wish we had gotten the car checked after they messed with it. Very sketchy place. Don't go here!!!

They were amazing. I dropped my car off for an estimate and they came in $600 less than a prior estimate (who wanted a week and a half to 2 weeks to rebuild my transmission) They were able to start on my car on Monday and I got my car back 2 days later and the bill was $1000 cheaper than estimated. The aamco crew did a great job replacing my transmission for a great price and also did a great job helping rectify some other minor issues. Dominic had great communication and all the work got completed quickly. Overall very pleased with my experience and their work.

I was very impressed with Dominic. My transmission was going out and needed to be repaired. After being on a waiting list with London s Automotive for 3 weeks and paying 180 just to diagnose the problem I was told I needed a new transmission. I called AAMCO and they got me in right away and saved me a lot of money by rebuilding my transmission for me. They also replaced my brake pads, belt and tensioner. I had my truck back in less than a week and my truck is running better than it has before!Services: Transmission, Brakes

These guys are amazing! Bought a used car from Wilson Ford two months ago (as is unfortunately) and ended up having to take it in to our mechanic. It appeared we'd need a new transmission that would cost us anywhere from $4k to $5500. Yikes. Our small town guy wasn't equipped to do a transmission replacement and reprogram so he sent us to AAMCO to get a second opinion. So grateful he did. Didn't end up needing a replacement, just some repairs and a couple other minor things that all together cost us only a third of a new transmission. Dominic is awesome...straightforward and friendly and totally on the up and up.Service: Transmission

Highly recommend Corvallis Aamco. We had a transmission cooler added to our vehicle. Due to the age of our vehicle we found that some shops couldn't get the part. Aamco not only got the part for us but they got a better price then expected.The day we had the work done, since we don't live in Corvallis we stayed around town while the work was done, they made a point to get our work done as quickly as they could to get us abck on the road. Dominic was very helpful and treated us like customers he wants to return. I feel like these days most businesses tend to treat customers as disposable and I didn't feel this was at all with Dominic.Again I highly recommend Corvallis Aamco!Service: Transmission

They are dedicated professionals. They love what they are doing and have years of experience. It shows in the way they treat their customers. Excellent customer service. Very knowledgeable with follow up. They know me when I call, even when it's a couple of year's later. Dominic & Phil not only follow the process of the repair but are involved. I went to AAMCO to have them diagnose my 2001 Honda accord shifting issues. Thinking I needed a new one. I dropped it off and 2 hours later Dominick called and thought he had it solved. After a short discussion I was happy to hear I just needed a new alternator. This is tied into the transmission somehow. So I changed it out and it works perfectly now. Big thanks to these guys on being honest and very helpful. I will be back if I need anything in the future.

Customer service here was amazing. We went in thinking we would be spending thousands of dollars in a new transmission just to find out it was a $250.00 fix. We appreciated their honesty and the time they took to explain everything to us. They were all so nice.

They replaced my brake master cylinder and didn t bleed the brakes before returning the car to me. I bled the brakes myself but one of the bleeder valves wouldn t open without sheering off, so I took it into them to replace it and they charged me $80 for one bleeder valve the size of my thumbnail. A couple years later I decided to try again, Took it in for an opinion on my fourth gear not working. They told me not to drive my car AT ALL and have the transmission replaced immediately. I ve since driven the car 10,000 miles without fourth gear. No problem. Not trustworthy advice. Not looking out for customers best interest. Covering up shabby work with overpriced lifetime warranty parts. This has been my experience over the last four years. The same management is currently in place.But if you know absolutely nothing about cars you will probably be quite grateful that they know more than you. It doesn t mean their work is good.

I went to AAMCO because Gary at Gary's Automotive Repair (a terrific business, also) sent me there when he determined that the structure of my Subaru required equipment he didn't have. AAMCO was great. They were fast, thorough, super friendly, and affordable. Phil at AAMCO was so on top of things that when I called the day before my appointment to ask how long the repair might take, he recognized me by first name and remembered the details of my car and its problem. When I came to pick up my car Phil explained details about the repair and the car that signals that he had checked to be sure the problem was not structural (and would therefore return) but rather a one-time fix. A great experience. I would definitely recommend AAMCO.

When Nissan told me I d need an entire new transmission at 152K miles and it would cost $5,500 and only have a 12 month warranty, I thought about a second opinion. It honestly felt like they didn t care all that much. Nissan also charged me for a computer scan, new fluid, and another scan, so I was over $400 in to find out it would just be more. AAMCO had great reviews so I gave them a call. They did a complimentary assessment and they told me like it was. I needed a rebuild. They rebuilt my transmission in about 36 hours, built a bypass around a known Nissan coolant defect, and provided a 50k mile 3-year warranty. It costed less than Nissan s solution as well. They really know what they re taking about and back up their work. I definitely recommend working with this group if you have transmission problems.

Very good experience with these folks. Friendly and professional. I was anxious about having my baby out of action and Dominic really was kind and patient with me. Talked through the symptoms and discussed the options. Incredibly fast turnaround but more importantly I felt assured that I would get the best quality rebuild. Thanks guys!

I have always had the best service from AAMCO. I own a small business and my work trucks are crucial for our operations. At the first sign of transmission issues I am sure to have them check it out. Once the transmission was good enough to get me around a few days, so they ordered a new tranny and got me scheduled for an early morning appointment. They were so fast getting that transmission put in I felt like royalty!Recently, I had a transmission that was going out and I stopped by. They did an assessment and told me they would fit it in between jobs. The transmission was rebuilt, costs were as expected and down time resulting from the problem were minimized.I realize they can t always give lightening fast response. But when someone is operated my a small business that is heavily dependent on work trucks, the level of service I have received has made me a customer for life.

The manager was very friendly and cooperative and knowledgable with his products. The shop was very clean and did great work. They had our vehicle back and running great in a short amount of time. I would have been happier to have not needed their help at all but if you are stranded and need a whole new transmission in your car, these guys will bend over backwards and put in the extra time and effort to help get you back on the road quickly and safely. Dominic was amazing and the whole service team is amazing.

Great experience here I was quoted lower than Ken Fisher and University Honda for my transmission replacement after all said and done only a day and a half they had fixed my transmission, coolant leak, and changed all my engine mounts and ontop of all that changed my oil free of charge. All this at alot lower price then what was quoted. This is topshelf service. I will be a return customer for sure!Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I only take my cars to AAMCO! The guys there take wonderful care of my vehicle! I know I can bring it in and they can fix all my needs and at a good price point too. I trust them to do the work right and I m always satisfied with my car when I get it back!

Clutch went out on my 2009 Subaru WRX and I shopped around town for some quotes. Dominic at the front desk was polite, personable, transparent, and helped me get my car in for a quick diagnosis and an even quicker fix.My biggest issue with Auto shops is the amount of inflation or unnecessary costs that can accompany a quote. This wasn't the case at AAMCO and they actually allowed my to see my old broken parts, justifying the price that I was paying and putting my mind to ease.All of that plus a 12 month/ 12,000 mile warranty on all parts and labor will bring me back to them for any future issues.

I brought my van in for what I thought was going to be a transmission overhaul, and they ran some diagnostics and found a few other issues instead. I was extremely happy with their straightforward and timely approach and was on the road the next day with a $300 bill instead of my expected $2500! Will be back!
