I dislike leaving bad reviews, and tend to just forgive and forget, but this place was terrible to deal with. Mitch said he would get to my girlfriends car either by the end of the day or the next day. This was fine for our schedule and five frustrating days later he got back to me and told us what was wrong with it and that it would be ready in a day or two. Had they kept their word we would not have had to play musical cars and figure out how both of us were going to get to work for the week. If it was going to take a week we would have gotten a rental. Mitch also had a pissy attitude whenever I called and asked about the car ( once every day or two). To top it all off they had a billing issue and harassed me about it even though it wasn t my car and I m not the one who paid for it. They got the total wrong and asked for more money after they figured out their issue. To be fair they had to work with a warranty company and mistakes happen but it was the way it was dealt with that was abhor. I ve no idea how they treat customers like this but hell they repaired the car so I ll give them two stars. Never again though.

Two of our cars recently have needed battery replacements (when it rains, it pours), so after calling around a few places for quotes, and even visiting my previous battery supplier to inquire about how much value was left from the pro-rated warranty, I decided to try out ABE. Their competitive prices stood out from the pack. Mitch at the front counter was courteous and knowledgeable. For both last month s and my recent visit, I was able to get the batteries replaced and back on the road in quick order. This will be my new battery go-to place.

Over the years these guys have been spot-onMy Toyota forklift starter was going out so I called ABE to tell me which one they thought it would be sure-nuff..NAILED ITon shelf, $140 took an entire 3 minutes to get in and out and back to workThanks guys

They took really good care of me they told me that I had a bad battery really great customer service Mitch was awesome Justin was the guy who did the testing and he was honest as well

It took a little longer than expected but quality work as usual third time I've had an alternator rebuilt and boosted in power Works fantastic thank you again for the excellent service

My experience here is beyond good. Not only do they solve your problem (my dozer's 24 volt positive ground starter motor was suspect), by the time you leave, these guys make you feel good about life again. As for the new motor they supplied, it's impressive. That crawler's engine has never before turned like it did -- starts up faster than my Subaru Outback.

Repeat customer! I've been to ABE a couple of times. Great customer service. They will call you, if you come in and the product is out of stock, and let you know if the daily delivery has your product on that truck. They did that for me, which made for quick customer service! The prices of their batteries can't be matched. They have the best prices, IMO! I highly recommend them.

Excellent place we bring all of our alternators starters and generators to this location to be rebuilt or replaced. Their prices are very reasonable service is fast and reliable! They also have batteries for everything in stock and can install if you need them to. The whole team is very knowledgeable and ready to help ! I will recommend this place to everyone...Special shout out to Mike and Mitch you guys are awesome!

Was referred here by Six Robblees. I had a problem with the trailer brake wiring on my truck or travel trailer. They sorted it out in under an hour. Was cool looking around in their office, all kinds of batteries, starters, alternators. Glad I found this place. I'm not an electrician.

1st visit was great; 2nd not so much. Brought my alternator here to be rebuilt. Mike was great and provided good advice. A few days later I picked up my alternator and re-installed it. First drive was fine but second drive showed signs of charging issues again. Stopped by the shop and they quickly diagnosed a bad diode. Pulled alternator later that day and dropped it off. That was a Monday - On Friday I called to check status and they had disassembled but hadn't had a chance to put it back together. That was a month ago. I've heard nothing since.

These guys are the best for auto electric repair. This is the second time I have used their services. Customer service is very good and service is timely and well done. The price quoted was fair an there was not sales pressure to do things that didn't need to be done. Most refreshing. I will continue to go there when I have auto electric problems.

I called and was quoted 1 price for battery, when I arrived the price had gone up. The battery was used , so I was told. The guy at the counter was helpful..he told me the battery was all charged up and ready to go. Put it in the jeep and it ran one time without needing a jump. Brought the battery in to return it. He tested it and same guy told me it had a dead cell...once I advised him that I already bought one he refused to take it back. He stated that the numbers didnt match and that it was an old battery . Which was not true. He refused to call his manager and litterly "shooed" me out of the store. I'm still waiting on manager to refund me. I will not be a return customer.

They fixed my wiring problem I could not find in hours. After days of me not being able to figure it out. They called me, I'm thinking they could not fix it. Instead they told me it was fixed. That was one reason, the other is cost. They do not offer a veteran discount. But still the price was worth it, and affordable.

I took my 2005 chevrolet avalanche in with electrical system failure and 2nd day still not even diagnosed. This is my lifeline to work and a paycheck and have yet to hear back from them on what the issue is. They're either understaffed bad or youre not a priority.Well after waiting for a day and a half and having to chase down answers and missing 2 days of work. Shop will have it fixed 2 days later. Not very good customer service in my book. So leaving at 2 stars for fairness of price.

Mitch is just an amazing guy that knows what's he's doing,I was having an issue whit my ford transit and no other shops were able to help me ,but I found out about this place and they found the issue i will recommended this place to anybody ,best place for electric cars problems

I was helped by Mitch, and he is an honest fellow, who stands behind his knowledge. They are very busy, but always willing to help, these guys have saved me a ton of money, from rebuilding alternators, starters, to making sure solenoids aren't the actual problem, these guys have been in business for a long time and will continue to be! Great service, courteous and extremely knowledgeable staff, best of all low prices on quality parts. Got an alternator for my Crown Vic Police Interceptor that ABE rebuilt themselves for $25 less than Autozone wanted for their cheapest rebuild from who knows where. When my starter went out they checked my entire electrical system for $12.50 to make sure I wasn't wasting money on something I didn't need. I was quoted between $400-500 other places for a rebuilt starter installed but ABE did it for under $200 AND they put in a brand new one and didn't even charge me extra for it! ABE also stands for A Better Experience.

Mike was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend fast and straight to the point. I had a bad battery and they fixed it quickly my car runs fine now. Very appreciative of everyone who helped me during this process.

Mike's your guy at the counter amazing customer service. This man cares about his job and his customers he takes pride in every alternator and starter that goes out the door. Battery starter or alternator this is your place... this is were the professionals go and put there name on ABE's part because they are that good.

I took my car to have the battery tested. They got me in immediately and told me my battery was bad and told me they could fix it right then and save all my memory. Mike was very informative and answered all my questions. He gave me options on different prices. The new battery was replaced and I was out the door in less than 5 mins. Talk about quick, no time was wasted. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone!!! Thanks Mike!

An outstanding company for your auto electrical needs. Found a shorted wire that ruined my alternator. Upgraded my alternator from 85amp to a 200amp. Down time was minimal and the service was top notch. Thanks Mike, your running a great business and team at Clackamas ABE.

Had a dead battery which they swapped out for me in only a few minutes. They were swamped but recognized a damsel in distress and fit me in. Price was amazing- a fourth of what I was quoted by the Hyundai dealership. Thank you, Mike and techs!

Had to stop in due to an unexpectedly dead battery. Was there as they opened at 8am and while the shop was already active, I was helped within minutes. They verified I needed a replacement battery. After looking up my record - they found the "pro-rated" coverage still applied - I only paid 1/3 of a new battery cost. The cable ends were cleaned, new felt washers applied to the posts, a protective paint sprayed on and everything rechecked - at no charge for the labor. I was back on the road in 20 minutes. You can buy a cheaper battery - but you won't get better service - and the same quality if you need help even a couple years later.

I have been coming here since 2010 . Never had a single issue and they always go out of there way to help . Yesterday I brought them an alternator from a Toyota that was oil soaked and covered in gunk and they had it rebuilt and ready for pick up in two hours along with the correct battery I need it in stock and ready also with very good pricing that beat everywhere else I called . Only place I go for car electronics

I have used ABE for years...If you have ANY Electrical Issues with your car...take it here. What many don't understand is that "Electrical Issues" can be elusive and mysterious...and sometimes can be very frustrating. Mike makes this frustration go away. Mike is the kindest and most helpful person I have met. His customer service and just plain "Caring" needs to be spread around the world. From Alternator upgrades or replace...to just a basic Battery... A.B.E. has it...and they have the years of knowledge to address problems fast and economically. Wow. 10 Stars.

Brought my car into Mike in October because it would not start. First time around he sold me a rebuilt alternator, two weeks later still would not start, this time he said it was a bad battery even though I had purchased a new battery that was only a month old, so mike sells me one of his batteries and then one of his employees loses the other battery that I need to get refunded. Three weeks later car still doesnt start. I call mike, since I now have to bring it in for a third time, he is polite on the phone but just says, " Gosh sir, well if you bring your car down we can take a look at it and see what's going on." I was hoping that would have been the case the first time around. Nice people, but seriously lacking in -diagnosis of what actually is causing the battry to continuously drain.

These guys install electric cables from your battery through your vehicle to hook up to inverters and power outlets. Nice little Gem in Portland for Car electrical work.
