I have always heard a great things about Dusty's from my best sources. On two occasions I have brought in vehicles when I had great worries in both cases. In both cases they worked with me, understood my concerns, explained everything in detail and kept great communication during their inspection of my transmissions. Both stories had great endings. Because of their professionalism and proficiency, I have two more vehicles on the schedule to bring to them this year for maintenance. A transmission can easily be as or more expensive than your engine depending on the vehicle. Having Dusty's perform a preliminary exam and maintenance on your transmission is like a preventative checkup with your doctor. Because, finding something adverse sooner than later is always a blessing. And, that little investment can save you a bundle. You can trust Dusty's. When you go there, you'll feel confident about them too. They're great!

I just had my transmission rebuilt and other work done at Dusty's , they're a fantastic crew there. Tony was the lead on getting everything going and keeping me up to date with the repair and is a great guy. As I said before they're fantastic there and impressive with how they treat customers and vehicles double and triple checking that everything is in working order before handing back the keys. Thank ypu everyone who worked on my rig and kept me up to date on the process. I greatly appreciate your company.

Broke down on side of road. By the time I got towed there it was as middle of night. Called first thing in morning and they got started as soon as they could. Honest, straightforward , they got me back on the road as soon as possible and gave me good ideas how to get myself where I was going in the first place. Highly recommended!

Dusty s was recommended to me by someone who is trustworthy, so I called and set up an appointment. Everyone was so nice and they expertly diagnosed the problem and made the necessary repairs. I feel much safer. Thank you Dusty s Transmission. Kudos to Tony and Jody!!

The team at Dusty's was very thorough and professional in analyzing my transmission issues. They were also kind enough to keep my old classic Pontiac in the garage to keep it out of the weather until the repairs had been effected. Communication was excellent throughout the duration of the rebuild job. They also found and repaired a fuel line leak that I was not aware of.The car performed beautifully after repairs and I drove away very satisfied with my experience. Cheaper than aamco better parts than aamco and faster I had my truck back in 4 days from Dusty's transmission versus two weeks they told me it would be at aamco.

They diagnosed my failing 2011 GM transmission for a fee of course. The fee would apply to the repair should I have them exchange the transmission.The communication was great, and everything was clearly explained. Many questions were answered during the process. $150.00 well spent, in my opinion. The replacement, however, is hugely expensive, just shy of $7500.00, through no fault of Dusty's. They also do happen to be the most expensive transmission shop in the valley by a wide margin.This repair is on hold, although I have every confidence that they would do a great job. It's just too much $$$ to swallow at this time.At least I have a solid answer to my issue. Thanks for that.

It's Sad to see how the son of dusty is running this place. Honesty is out the window. Taking advantage of the elderly and women. They don't diagnose vehicles correctly and then lie to cover it up. I would never trust dustys transmission. What use to be such a family oriented shop is now full of greed.Matt thanks for the reply. I may be married to a former employee but I think that gives insight to why my reivew is accurate. I want to warn others before getting taken advantage of at dusty transmission.My husbands review was taken down but what i can say is my husband grandpa who is 80 took his truck to dustys transmissions thinking he could trust them. Jodie and matt upcharged him by about 3000 for things he did not need as it was not diagonsed correctly. The problem is this is normal practice for dusty transmissions. They tend to upsell you things you dont need. Part of why my husband quit was due to this practice. The old guy would never have asked my husband to upcharge. Please get a second opinion before spending your hard earn money here.

It was very expensive for a transmission shop, but so far, so good they did, however, knock a little bit off the price because some of the work wasn't on the estimation

Not the old Dusty's since he sold to these guys. $7k for a new transmission when they would not replace just the front seal for $500. $7k later and they didn't even replace the rear seal while they had trans out. I got 2800 miles to drop off truck for my dad and the transmission pan and new front seal is leaking all over my dads new garage floor.The 25 yr old stock seal never leaked, nor did the stock pan. I should have known when I picked up the truck and noticed they didnt even clean the bell housing before painting over old grease and dirt on their new rebuilt transmission for $7k... This place is a straight up rip off.Service: Transmission

I felt confident the minute I walked through their front door that I chose the right place to get my work done. Just look left as soon as you walk in the front door you ll feel confident as well. Communication was excellent on the status of my repair, and when it would be completed.

My transmission slipped on me a few times going over Grants Pass pulling a heavy load. I stopped by Dusty's on a Wednesday in May, Jody fit me in for a transmission servicing the next day. They found metal shavings in my pan and recommended a rebuild. Jody knew I was traveling through and bent over backwards to get it done quickly. They had a re-built transmission in and ready to go by Monday. Since, I made it over the Siskiyous and Grape Vine with no problems. Jody and Matt are awesome. It is rare to come across a business anywhere, of any sort, that puts this much care and attention to the customer's satisfaction. These sorts of car fixes can be expensive, but I feel safe spending the money here because I know they will make it right, no matter what. I know because they did it for me. I went to Dusty's to do a diagnostic on my transmission after an error came up stating to stop safely now. I asked them to check my wiring harness on the transmission. When they called me to inform what they found, they told me that my battery cable was so loose they couldn't even get my car to crank until they twisted it on to attach it firmly.I took the car home, thinking nothing of it, when I got the cable repaired, however, the cable was very snug, and I realized after, had never been disconnected in the first place as some settings on my dash always reset when the battery is disconnected and they didn't reset when I picked up my car from Dusty's.When I called, the manager on duty assured me that what happened was the mechanic went out and couldn't start the car, telling me they couldn't get it to crank (this is very important, as my car is a hybrid, which I reminded him of, and this particular car has a silent start feature. meaning it doesn't crank.) He continued by telling me that the cable was moving all over, implying that it was just all over inside the tiny compartment.In the picture the tiny gray you can see up and to the right of the red is the part he was speaking of, just so loose in the compartment that it was bouncing all over, giving me no issues for nearly all of my driving but enough that after I parked the car it was barely connected. This cable is hard to disconnect without moving the black pipe over it for a human, let alone for a bounce from a car.Even after me telling him there is not a possibility they removed the battery cable he insisted that he did it himself.I cannot trust any company that lies about the first thing they touched.TL;DR Mechanic lied about the battery disconnecting, as it was never disconnected, and they didn't even remember the car was a hybrid.

This is the third vehicle I have brought to Dusty's. Evertime I have been exceedingly pleased by the service there. They diagnosed and fixed the problem and went above and beyond to make sure that my vehicle was ready to to go. I'm always so grateful to know my car is in good hands and I won't be jerked around. Very personable and very accommodating from the first to last phone call. They followed up the day after I picked my vehicle up to make sure everything was running properly. They also explained to me all the work that needed to be done prior to and after repais. While I know this should be customary for auto shops to do this, sometimes it's like pulling teeth to get the answers they provided freely. Plus, the transmission comes with a 3-year warranty giving me a peace of mind knowing if something happens, I'm covered.I highly recommend Dusty's Transmissions to anybody that needs a rebuild or a new transmission. They'll get you in and out, all while being pleasant. Tell me where you can find that caliber of service after 25+ years of being in business!Service: Transmission

Jody and the crew at Dusty's really came through for me.Two days before a planned RV vacation the clutch failed in my Dodge 2500, Although they were swamped with work , Jody said they would do all they could to work it in.. and they did ! Ended up being a relatively minor problem , expertly fixed and we were on our way ! Great job..thanks Dusty's Brett Thomas

I was in town calling on dealers when my check engine light came on, it was a hard code for the torque converter. I pull a trailer full time so I went in and found my transmission was failing. They gave me a couple of options for a rebuilt transmission with a warranty. They had it in stock and I was back on the road by noon the following day! Absolutely thrilled with their knowledge, service, and being so accommodating on a moments notice! I recommend Dusty s to everyone and will continue to tell my story. Thank you for the service and support! If you see a red Ram 2500 that says Eaz Lift on the side. It has a stage 2 rebuild and tows my trailer with Eaz!!Service: Transmission
