My and my boyfriend stayed for 2 nights 3 days, we absolutely loved it!! Our view was beautiful and everyone was so nice and welcoming. There s a little grocery store right next door, 1-2 minutes of a walk. Prices are decent if you forget something. Walking into our hotel room we were pleasantly shocked at how beautiful our view was. We also decided to use their hot tub which was of course gorgeous too. The hot tub room also has an ocean view perfect for soaking when the sun is setting!! Highly highly recommend!!!Rooms: The fireplace keeps the room pretty warm if it gets cold and they also leave you an extra blanket in the drawer. Over-all very cozy vibes!

i stayed here with my dad and our dog for a weekend trip. the photos online make the rooms appear much more spacious, and clean. our room was very small, considering they called it a suite. the bathroom was so small that they had to install the sink in the main area of the room, which was a hassle to deal with. the vinyl around the sink was beginning to peel up at well. the room has a balcony, but each balcony is no more than a foot and a half apart, so there really isn t privacy and it s honestly dangerous as it would be easy for people to climb across balconies and enter other rooms.

Clean, organized and great access!GREAT WINTER RATE .We were surprised that a welcome basket also for our dog, Tammy, was awaiting, which I have never seen anywhere.Cannon Beach is charming as always but especially in December with decorations and carolers next to the town tree, (close to Bill's where we ate delicious fresh Alaskan Halibut). We honeymooned here in 1976 and have made summer dashes but decided to make a break for it during our mild December weather this year.

Nice hotel with a fireplace! We got lucky! We did a hike and our clothes were soaked from the rain. Having a fire to set our things around to dry was very nice! Don't worry, we left plenty of space! It also felt great because the temperatures dropped significantly. It's also just a mile from Haystack Rock and easy access to the beach. Also there are bunnies all over the place outside!

If you like customer service you should not stay here. We called the night desk (at a reasonable hour) for a corkscrew and the woman who answered the phone was obviously very put out to have to bring one. The next day my partner called for the wifi password and was immediately scolded and told "it's on the flier we gave you". Right, we don't have it or we would not have called. No one who works there aside from the cleaning staff appears to want to be there. If you ask for anything be prepared to hear heavy signs and reluctance. Bathroom sink was cracked, tub faucet was almost completely coming away from the enclosure (yuck), floor vinyl made a sticky sound when being walked on, and the rooms are not at all as nice as the pictures claim online. I will say the cleaning staff are doing the best they can with the state of these rooms and everything was clean as they could make it. The day we were departing there was a staff member parked in the handicap loading zone. My partner is a 100% disabled vet and inquired with the desk manager so we could have space to load our car up. She scolded us and claimed anyone could park in a loading zone which is 100% incorrect. Then she called us rude for correcting her on her knowledge of handicap spaces. It's shocking to me that a desk manager would behave in this way for something so obviously in error. Anyway, won't be going again for all the reasons stated. You can stay for similar prices in more modern environments with a much friendlier desk staff and team. Shame, their location is pretty convenient and they do allow dogs. Oh well.....

We just spent two nights at The Wayside Inn this weekend. It was a perfect place for our anniversary weekend and we got to bring our pups! We had to have a late check-in and the staff made it so easy for us. Our room was clean with a great view, also was great because it had a kitchenette! There was also the cutest towel/treat basket for our dogs! When we decided to stay another night, they made it so easy for us and gave us dog toys to take home. The staff was so nice and friendly. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

We loved our stay at the Wayside Inn! Our dog was incredibly happy to get a treat and complimentary toy from the front desk, as well as a welcome package in our room. The room had an amazing ocean view with a relaxing patio to take it all in. The inn is only a short walk to the beach and Haystack Rock, and was in a very peaceful part of town. We would highly recommend the Wayside Inn to anyone visiting Cannon Beach!

We booked the family unit & were a bit disappointed in the size of bedrooms & only 1 bathroom. When we requested more toilet paper rolls the 2nd time, desk clerk refused said we have already gotten some earlier. We went to buy some more for the 5 people who were in the room! We opened the dishwasher & it fell out from the counter, screws were loose. Door latch on from door was loose. Pretty disappointed overall with the amount of money that was paid.Rooms: Small

Wonderful stay!! Clean, comfy and had a mini kitchen with utensils for eating in! They go above and beyond for your doggies too. Cute, small building with pool and hot tub too. Beware however, the hot tub is an indoor/outdoor hybrid so it can be cold. But we didn't have a problem since the water was really warm. Would stay here in future.Nearby activities: Short drive to downtown Cannon Beach shopping. There's a market right across street for food and snacks.

Great location with the park and beach and grocery store right across the street. The room was clean and comfortable, with a balcony that allows for some great views of the sunset at the end of the day.The staff were friendly and helpful every time we interacted with them.We will certainly be back.Walkability: We parked at the start of our time in Cannon Beach and walked everywhere. It is often faster to walk down the beach not the road.

The room was very clean and comfortable. There was a fireplace and balcony with chairs. It is located at the north end of town so is not crowded or noisy. There is a good pub about a block away. The only negative I experienced is that the coffee maker didn t work - but that was probably due to my ineptness. Big plus is how dog friendly they are. The room came with dog bowls and treats and towels for drying them after a walk in the rain. We will return.

No AC and one tiny fan... 90 degrees.. very uncomfortable 400 a night? I highly recommend think twice before staying here.. very rude employees. Our room had a strong urine smell. We checked in and quickly checked out. We never come backRooms: The room we checked into smelled horrible of urine ... It was close to 90 degrees and no ACNo thank you!Noteworthy details: The two gals at the front desk on 8/14/23 were very unprofessional and condescending in their tone with my family.

Wayside Inn was a darling place to spend a few random weekdays in rainy December, and the price at that time can't be beat! I am basing my review off of that price, as well, so keep that in mind ($99/night).I stayed in the suite with the Queen bed, the kitchen and the partial ocean view. The place could use a few updates, but was ultimately very clean, cozy and accommodating. The gas fireplace was a bonus and the partial view of the ocean (from my corner room, at least) was just breathtaking and I spent much of my rainy afternoon sitting by the fire and gazing out over the waves. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the hot tub was sublime!(Though I didn't use it, the pool appeared to be pretty awesome as well and was set quite warm, which I liked. The pool is inside, while the hot tub is adjacent, but in more of a ventilated "outdoor" area, while it still feels fairly indoor, if that makes sense)The kitchen was outfitted with pretty much everything you need for a cozy 2 night stay, at least, which I was pleasantly surprised by, as I like to cook when I travel, as opposed to eating out every night. (they even had a toaster!)There is a few restaurants within easy walking distance, though, if you want to go that route and a grocery store literally across the street (a good one too!!), so that was a huge bonus.I spotted several groups of elk, a seagull stealing tea from the housekeepers cart and several fat bunnies during my stay.Very beautiful area with a stretch of beach to walk right across the street, so, as a non-driver, I'm hooked and will definitely be back very soon!Don't miss out on their slow season pricing, and even if you come in high season, it is likely still worth the money - especially in comparison to what else is out there. :-)All in all, highly recommend!

I was so pleased with this location for our family trip with older kiddos! There was a pool, hot tub, conveniently located near a bar for a little parent time, Mo's restaurant is walking distance, and theres a fabulous grocery shop across the street! The room was clean, the staff were helpful and courteous, the room had drawers and an armoire in addition to the coat rack at the front door, there was enough coffee to make a full pot each day, a fridge, TV, and balcony. All that and the best part, cheaper than the hotel chains in the area! We will definitely be back!

A young Chihuahua mix dog adopted us last December to escape the freezing cold. This was our first trip with him and the staff at Wayside were wonderfully helpful. The location right across from the park and path to the ocean was perfect. The suite was well equipped. Streak, unfortunately, picked up something at the shore and made quite a mess on the rugs. The staff told us what to do, provided initial cleanup stuff, and told us that they will follow up. They were understanding and helpful exactly when we were most concerned. Our overall experience was excellent and we felt very welcomed. We would recommend Wayside Inn to any family traveling with pets especially if you are new at such adventures.

We stayed in room 106, which is a base level Queen suite. The room was perfect for my boyfriend, our dog and I. My only complaint was the size of the bathroom, which was very small. The room was clean, smelled fine & had its own fireplace & heaters for the colder days. They have a smoking area & an area to take your dogs potty. This is easily one of the most dog friendly hotels I ve ever stayed in, offering us a kennel if we wanted to leave our dog in the room, gave us a basket with dog treats, bowls, towels & a list of dog friendly restaurants and grocery stores in the area. The front desk ladies are so sweet and willing to help with anything you need. The location is great, it s right across the street from a cute park and a beach access. Lots of little bunnies running around & the parking is decent. Thank you Wayside for the lovely stay!!
