Just returned home from a 3 night stay and woke up this morning wishing we were still down there waking up to haystack rock. The weather was amazing and the you can t beat the location being literally right on the beach in front of haystack rock. Was also blown away by the newly renovated rooms (we were lucky enough to be one of the first to stay in the newly renovated beach front rooms) that had a nice private balcony and an unbelievable view of the beach and haystack rock. The staff couldn t have been friendlier and more helpful, always going above and beyond throughout our stay. I saw Zach and Matthew a lot while we were down there and really appreciate them along with the rest of the staff making our trip so enjoyable. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Also having the wayfarer right across the parking lot was perfect. I got takeout just about every meal and the food was amazing, loved every meal I got from the chicken and waffles and eggs Benny to the Burger. Thank you guys so much for the amazing trip! I ve been coming down the the Oregon coast for almost 10 years and this was by far my most enjoyable trip ( along with my chocolate lab cezar). We will be back very soon and have been spreading the word!Rooms: Newly renovated rooms are amazing! And you can t beat the views!Walkability: Easy beach access to haystack rock and can walk every whereFood & drinks: Wayfarer

I decided to go to a different place to stay and this sounded perfect. They did say that they were going through some construction but they would place me in a room that would be away from the noise. They placed me in front of the construction which went on all night and you couldn t sleep unless you were dead. I checked out in the morning and as I am leaving two children and a mother had the keys to my door and walked in to watch TV. They billed me for the full amount, about $600 and I have had no response from management. Civil Suit anyone And I couldn t hear the water although the beach was steps away. I was so glad to sleep in my own bed the next night and they refuse to respond to my letters. They are dishonest and I will get my money backNoteworthy details: The children having a key card for my room

Very nice resort. Right on the beach, gorgeous views! Rooms are very clean and spacious. Love the fireplace and balcony. The mattress was a little too soft. Access to the beach, they even have lanterns in rooms for an evening walk along the beach. Staff at the reception is very friendly, helpful.Walkability: Access to beach. Walking distance to restaurants, Caf�s and Brewery

We booked three nights in an Ocean Front King for our recent visit to Cannon Beach. The people are very nice and the free beer at check in was a nice touch. We were disappointed to find that the view was of a building under construction directly in front of our room. They really shouldn t advertise this as Ocean Front. I would call it a partial view of the Ocean in the distance if you stand outside and look around the corner. Initially, I felt that a 3 star review would be fair. But, on our last day, housekeeping only partially cleaned the room. The bed wasn t made. There was sand all over the floor. Ect We were aware at booking that there would be some construction. But, 05:50 in the morning? Really??? And, it is definitely not a place to try and take an afternoon nap. I believe the property should probably be closed during construction.I don t often take the time to write a review unless we have a really positive experience. But, the Surfsand Resort was a bit of a disappointment for us. I believe a 2 star review is fair considering our experience. Although the free afternoon cookies were pretty good

An absolutely gorgeous hotel and the room was so much nicer than we expected. Matt at the front desk went above and beyond for us to make sure everything was all set for our visit. Cas the overnight staff member was extremely helpful as we had many random questions throughout the night, and they were able to assist us with everything we needed to make our stay memorable. hated to leave. will definitely be back again!

The Surf Sand Resort in Cannon Beach, Oregon, was the perfect setting for my brother's wedding. The location offered breathtaking views and a plethora of dining options, making it an all-around fantastic choice. The overall atmosphere was nothing short of gorgeous, setting the stage for a memorable occasion. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning, but aside from that, it was a nearly perfect experience. If you're seeking a beautiful location for a special event or a relaxing getaway, Surf Sand Resort is an excellent choice.

We ended up getting a 1st floor room, in december. very clean, very reasonably priced and it just was a cool room with a oversized bathtub with a passthru into the bedroom, bed was abnormally comfortable. My wife eneded up getting sick on the way there, so we spent the whole 2 days in the room and it was fine cuz the room was really nice and clean. Front desk was really nice and welcoming. And theres alot of cool stuff within walking dist.

We stayed here last week and could not have been happier. It's lower season but everyone was so accommodating. Our room although was a little dated made up for that in location with beautiful views. My husband had a business meeting that couldn't be moved at noon and they allowed us to stay past checkout until 1:00 which really made our day.

Stayed here to celebrate my partner's birthday; I left this in the booking notes and the staff had left a nice card and chocolates for her.The view of the room was spectacular and looked right at Haystack Rock. Tons of amenities. Pool, bikes, shuttle, fresh baked cookies, s'mores kits, and more.The beach was just steps away.Surprised it seemed like there was no AC? But we went when it was relatively cool; so didn't absolutely need it.Would recommend and gladly stay here again.Rooms: Room was plenty spacious for the two of us. Had a spectacular view of Haystack Rock.

Had a very nice 3 night stay at Surfsand while on vacation and really enjoyed it for the most part.Plus:- Great location, very close to downtown but still super quiet- Lots of free/included parking- Amazing views of Haystack Rock from ocean view room- Nice, friendly staffMinus:- Rooms don't have AC and can get pretty warm, even on cool nights...had to open all windows and balcony door to cool it down- Pillows were very squishy and thin, fitted sheet was too small for the mattress and kept riding up- Wet bar faucet leaked at its base- Some of the furniture/cabinets looking a bit tired...dinged up, scratched, etc.- Balcony is not 100% private...each side wall has small cutouts. Not an issue for us, but if you have noisy neighbors this could be very annoying.

We had an absolutely magical stay at this resort. Rooms were very nice and we had a bathtub we could see the ocean from! Wild elk came through right down to the beach at sunset. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There are good restaurants very closeby. About as good as it gets on the Oregon Coast! Won't stay anywhere else in Cannon Beach.

This is our second time staying here. We fell in love with it the first time. The second time little details for improvement stood out more. The room wasn't dusted such as the bathroom lights and behind the doors. Found a couple strands of hair upon entering the room in the bathroom, on the bed. One of the windows had sticky stuff on it, the screen was on it's last leg. The patio deck should get a rinse through with every guest visit, didn't seem as clean this time. Parking is not enforced, many people not staying at the resort park in the resort's parking lot. The housekeeping ladies were always available whenever we needed anything. The furniture could use a update. We go for the incredible views and really do enjoy our time there. But little improvements could be made for the cost of rooms.

Absolutely incredible location and accommodations. It is such a fun hotel for kids and they offer complimentary ice cream socials and cookies. The pool was very clean and my kids favorite part of the trip. overall a 10/10The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I really like the tv in the bathrooms and the soaking tub was amazing. Comfortable beds as well

Very nice rooms, large bathtub, and shower. Gas fireplace, microwave, coffee machine, safe, and even a box fan. My wife really liked that. They had a nice swimming pool and exercise room. Shopping is an easy seven block walk to town. I loved the free cookies in the evening while walking to the fire and marshmallow roasting at the beach to watch the sunset.

We stayed here in November when it was rainy and a little stormy even and the room was perfect for us. We stayed in a partial ocean view king room that had a great view of Haystack Rock. There were multiple heat sources so we could be very cozy with the regular room heater and/or the fireplace.The balcony doors and the window next to it had double curtains so you could block out the light or use the sheer light-filtering curtains, which would be amazing in sunny weather. Everything was super clean and pretty modern. The little kitchen set-up was nice too, with all the regular stuff to make coffee/tea in the Keurig or refrigerate/microwave leftovers but also a couple of bowls, plates, and glasses and even silverware. It was really cool to have those little conveniences.Lastly, the staff was wonderful. From before our stay when they helped with changing our reservation dates to after we got home when they offered to send me items I had left in the room, it was a great customer service experience. We would definitely stay there again.

Can't beat the location! Right on the beach and looking at Haystack Rock. The hotel has great amenities- cookies at night, beach bonfire and smores, bikes, beach chairs and towels. If it's too cold or rainy outside there is an indoor pool. Plenty of parking. Rooms are spacious and clean. Very comfortable and great sleeping to the sound of the ocean. This is a wonderful place for a family vacation or couple get away, just bring your suitcase they have everything else covered.

Beautiful and extremely comfortable room with the most amazing view of Haystack Rock. That jetted tub was a little slice of heaven and nothing beats watching the sunrise and set over the ocean from the room/balcony. Everything we tried from the restaurant was delicious and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our dogs enjoyed the amenities as well. We'll be back for the next vacation.

Loved staying here! Absolutely gorgeous!Although the hotel didn t have any air conditioning, they have a fan in the closet which was helpful during the Summer season.Nearby activities: Very close from both beach and convenient store!
