No exaggeration to say this was the best trip my wife and I have ever taken together and it was entirely due to our experience staying at the Stephanie Inn.From the moment we arrived we knew it was going to be a special experience. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the staff could not be more welcoming or kind. We started our trip with a visit to the spa - worth every single penny. I tend to feel a little out of my element in environments like this but the staff put me at ease and ensured a relaxing, wonderful experience. We were then shown to our beautiful, spacious room. We opted for the ocean view - definitely the right call. The view was stunning from sunrise to sunset. I love that you can walk right down to the beach or simply enjoy the sound of the waves while relaxing in bed. After a long day of walking around town and in the beach the amazing soaking tub provided just what we needed to soothe and relax before bed.Beds are incredibly comfortable and the sheets felt amazing! What stood out to me the most was the overall vibe of the place - yes, it is undeniably luxurious but never in a pretentious way. The staff are there for anything and everything you might need but they never come across as snooty or uptight. They are the perfect, very rare balance of exceptionally professional while also being genuine and warm.I truly cannot say enough amazing things about our stay and am already looking forward to our next trip.Rooms: Beautiful, luxurious rooms. Very comfortable bed, stunning views.Food & drinks: The food is extraordinary! Be sure you take advantage of at least one meal while you are there.

We've been coming here for about 24 years.I will say I'm disappointed that they have gotten rid of the jetted tubs. The self-serve ice machine broke down, and now you have to ask. Also, the breakfast is included with the price, but now they leave a receipt so you can leave a tip. It feels more like the hands are out for tips and more money.Staff is nice, and the Inn is kept clean

Well well..... What a lovely surprise. It's been a few years since I've been back and was so pleased to see the new remodel! The designers have done an excellent job of reworking the space in a clean, minimal and comforting aesthetic.... It's much more sophisticated than what I remember from before...A handful of excellent added amenities, await you upon check-in, as well as in your room... Too many to mention here but take full advantage of everything they are offering..Customer service was on point and everyone went out of their way to make our stay so enjoyable..A considerable upgrade from the last time I was here. Every detail has been carefully chosen and understated elegance and consistent service seem to be the calling of the day...Was so impressed with the changes and thrilled to be here right after the new upgrades....They must have hired an entire new staff because they have all been very well trained and know how to speak to guests in the right tone...Some very minor suggestions. I would find a way to add softener to the towels in the bathroom so they are not so rough.. if possible, I would ask housekeeping to try to keep the noise levels down during the day when they are cleaning and moving throughout the building for those of us who are trying to take mid-afternoon naps or relax quietly...... For example, housekeeping could try not to slam doors or talk too loudly when they are walking through the hallways...And lastly, the only small disappointment was the priced fixed dinner in the main restaurant. While the flavors were lovely and it was beautifully choreographed, I would not go back and do that four course dinner again considering how expensive it was. The serving sizes are incredibly small, especially the protein sizes which were not enough to fill either one of us...For $100, I was expecting much larger portion sizes in the proteins and vegetables.....It was a little too precious and pretentious... We are both foodies but this felt a little like they were trying to hard to impress instead of letting the food speak for itself...All the courses were extremely small except for the bread...But that won't keep me from coming back again and staying at the hotel. I'll just go elsewhere for dinnerKudos to the owners and staff of the hotel for their excellent service

This was our 6th visit to Stephanie Inn over 10 years and the most special visit of all as were married there this Dec 2023! We truly enjoyed our December visit to the newly remodeled Stephanie Inn! We thought it was really nice before the remodel and we were afraid to go back as we thought it might lose its coziness, but it did not disappoint - cozy factor still in place and upgrades to furniture are gorgeous and comfy! Hospitality of staff is still fantastic! My review is two parts for our stay and our wedding.Hotel Review:Stephanie Inn staff always makes us feel so welcome from the moment we arrive. They made sure to keep all the extra's such as free hot breakfast, cookies/scones coffee & tea in lobby, happy hour with what I noticed to be enhanced warm appetizers and the nightcap are still in place, - homemade limoncello was delicious! The daily housekeeping, nightly turndown service with chocolates, and arrival gift box with local treats is still there. They even added steamers to each room, and they still have the memory foam Temper-Pedic mattresses. They removed the DVD players in place of an upgraded TVs and added HBO and a screencast option to access your apps. I could go on, but better to leave some surprises. All the traditions that make Stephanie Inn unique are still in place and then some!Wedding Review:We are in our 50 s so we wanted a small more initimate ceremony. Our wedding was only 10 people (including us) coordinated by the lovely Kate Sellem of Stephanie Inn who is delightful to work with and highly professional! I ve been a corporate event manager for over 15 years and can honestly say Kate didn't miss a single event detail! Everything was perfectly planned from the billing to the intros of the vendors (officiant, photographer, florist) to the wedding itself, all seamlessly planned. We had our ceremony outside the Carriage House on the knoll where they provided seating with umbrellas due to misty light rain. Then we held a nice reception in the Carriage House Suite afterwards with cake, champagne and Hors d'oeuvres, the room fit 10 people well, they even brough in another table and chairs for seating. They offered to do the wedding/reception inside the library of the main Inn, but we wanted something more private, so the Carriage House Suite/Knoll option worked perfectly! We also hosted a group wine paring dinner for our guests that evening in the restaurant which was beautifully organized by the restaurant staff and chef Aaron! It was so nice to not have to worry about organizing these details and vendors as Kate did it all for us! The platinum elopement package is well worth the price and includes everything you could think of. She was able to adjust some things to the package that we didn t want in place of other things so very flexible! It s also nice only having to work with one person. If you are looking for a small intimate wedding with a few close family or friends, this is a wonderful option. They even set up a nice evening bonfire on the beach for our group the next day, which was such a unique experience and one of the highlights -next to the wedding of course! For those who have visited the Stephanie Inn, I don't have to tell you how good the breakfast is and after the remodel it almost seems even better! Chef Aaron went the extra mile for our group reception requests, plus due to some food allergies he accommodated our dinner menu requests too. While I have seen a couple reviews on the portion sizes being smaller in the restaurant for wine pairing, we all thought the entrees were ample for a four-course meal so maybe they have adjusted portions since past reviews. Very delicious plus they swapped out wine for beer/mixers for our friends who were not wine drinkers. In summary we really thought everything was perfect for our entire stay and the wedding! Kudos to Kate and all the Stephanie Inn staff for making our wedding day so memorable and one that we will never forget! Thank you for your hospitality! We can t wait to return for our anniversary!

Holiday season at Stephanie Inn is lovely and festive. Even when signing up up for their amazing spa services, you are welcomed to enjoy a cup of tea, take a holiday cookie or scone, and you can take a moment while you are waiting for services in the sitting room/library area and enjoy an incredible view of the wild ocean waves and the stalwart Haystack rock on a rainy December day.Walkability: Right on the beach, with bunnies playing on the dunes outside your window.Food & drinks: Smith teas. Buttery scones with amazing texture -- crunchy bits and soft, fluffy insides. But as it was the holiday season they were also molasses gingerbread people and iced sugar cookies.Noteworthy details: I had one of the best massage experiences at the spa. It was a couples massage and the therapists were exceptionally skilled. It was one of the most luxurious holiday experiences I have enjoyed.

While I didn t stay at the Stephanie this trip, I did book an appointment at the spa which was one of the most excellent spa experiences I ve had. I enjoyed a scrub and mineral massage w Meghan who made the experience impeccable and so relaxing from beginning to end. The heated, adjustable massage table and the bevy of heated towels throughout the treatments were the extra touches that took this over the top. Would highly recommend the spa and Meghan to anyone!

You have not experienced the ultimate level of customer service until you visit this place!! As a frequent traveler bug, I am unable to find any place from my past trips that can match my experience. It was worth the long travel days!! I would give everything 5+stars x 10. You can't place a price on great customer service, comfy, cozy, and clean rooms, an exceptional chef, and the social hour activities. The bar has been set for future places we plan to visit. We are grateful for everyone here who contributed to the best vacation ever!! We will return and highly recommend this place. I'm very glad my travel agent recommended this location!

Didn't stay here, but have seen rooms. Came for the exquisite dinner. The chef explains how they have prepared each dish from scratch after the second course before we must decide on our choice of the main course. I had King Salmon and C had Filet Mignon. Every dish was exquisitely prepared and very memorable. Served with complementary wines with each course, a truly unique and special evening for an anniversary.

Great place! The views are stupendous, the rooms and service luxurious and it combines the personal touches of a B&B with the amenities of a large hotel. It s a perfect blend of the best of both. We will definitely be back and look forward to being here again. The breakfasts are sumptuous, so good and so filling that we were able to skip lunch while looking around the many sites in the area. Come to relax and enjoy the scenery, the ocean, the forests etc.

From the minute you arrive on the property to the time you leave, you will experience the best customer service! The Inn gets it right every step of the way. The breakfast menu has something for everyone and dinner was one of the best meals I ve ever had! The Inn is clean and updated, beds are comfy and the view from oceanfront rooms is spectacular. I liked being on the first floor as it was easy to get right to the beach. If you are thinking of visiting Cannon Beach, Oregon, stay at the Stephanie Inn!Rooms: Our room was spacious and clean and very cozy. Loved the patio where we could watch the waves, the Haystacks and the sunsetNearby activities: Downtown Cannon Beach has the cutest shops and restaurants! Golf is an hour away at Pumpkin RidgeWalkability: My husband and I walked to midtown and on the beach to see the haystacks every dayFood & drinks: The food is delicious and there is something for everyone on the breakfast menu

from the moment you enter the relaxation and rejuvenation begins. The Staff kicks it off with their friendly, helpful service. They offer soo many amenities and have thougt of every detail that made our stay incredible! from turn down services with cookies, the night cap, social beer/wine in the library, the incredible spa services. The best part, being someone who has dietary restrictions (no gluten) this place was over the top amazing in accommodating! Not once did I feel my options were limited because of the options they provided. even our turn down night services cookies they made gluten free. we did the bonfire package they provide and they even made sure the graham crackers they gave us were GF, these folks are top notch! As you depart, they've thought of that too as they provide you with a cute bag of water bottles, trail mix and a Playlist for the road trip home. We quickly fell in love with this coastal gem and cannot wait to return, it's truly magical here.

Stephanie inn is EASILY one of the best experience we ve had traveling in the US! Starting with the comprehensive welcome tour, all inclusive breakfast, happy hour and night cap drinks, town shuttle inside Rivian, and 4-course dinner with wine pairing they have the friendliest staff here (and bunnies!), they even gave us a goodbye Spotify playlist when we depart. The attention to detail is unmatched and note to the staff - please don t ever change thing Only regret is not booking spa session in advance, next time for sure!

Our stay here was great! The rooms were very clean and the views from the corner suite are amazing. We took advantage of the free bikes and took a long ride in the beach. The Spa was awesome and the food was excellent. It was a bit odd that the restaurant is on the parking lot side and that the hotel does not have a bar but those were things that are easy to look past. They however do offer complimentary wine every evening and nightcaps as well. We will be back!

The dining was talked up a lot to my partner and I beforehand, so we had high expectations, especially given the cost. Overall, the service was OK, and while the food was good, we were not impressed, especially given the price. Nice to do once, but likely won t return.

From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated incredibly well. The staff are very friendly and professional. Our room was beautiful. I loved the little personalized touches such as the welcome gift basket and welcome card and all of the great bathroom samples face wash etc The Swedish, deep tissue massage was probably the best massage I had ever had in my life. I believe her name was Alley? My boyfriend proposed to me during our stay! The gentleman that made our fire on the beach was super sweet and even offered to take our pictures during my proposal. A+++ Our shuttle driver is also very friendly and professional! I fell in love with the bunnies outside of our room and it truly just felt magical, like a little slice of heaven! Would love to stay here again! Thank you for making our day so very special for us! Five stars!! Stephanie & Anthony Miller

Highly recommend the dinning room for an expensive, but lovely meal. Everyone us seated at once. It's a flat rate for everyone. But it's a five course meal, where yoy have two entrees to choose from. The chef came out and introduced the dishes. Service was great. The food was exceptional. Very nice date night for a special occasion like an anniversary.

The customer service was fantastic. The massage was great! Clean spa and friendly staff. The food was VERY good, although they could update the dining room experience, which was too structured and bit too staged for our taste. The decor of the hotel (rooms in particular) also need an update and refresh. For the price of the room, there shouldn t be peeling wallpaper (bathrooms) snagged sofas and molding cushions on the deck. The other thing to note; the decks are WAY too close together and NOT PRIVATE!! We wondered why they couldn t add some kind of barrier to make the balcony more private? We lucked out and got amazing weather but COULD NOT enjoy our ocean view and the amazing weather on the deck because a group of 4 women were in the room next to us and decided to have a girls party on their patio, rendering ours totally unusable. They (obviously) were excited to be there, and were loud and animated but it was so close to our balcony we could hear every word they said. We had to go inside to get away from them, despite it being a beautiful autumn day. I gave the inn 4 stars for the great service, amazing ocean front location and excellent quality of the food, all of which are difficult to find at the Oregon coast.

Love, love, love this place. From the rooms with fireplaces overlooking the beach. To the free wine tasting, free cookies, free nightcaps, free snack box. To the staff. To the restaurant were we celebrated a (2 year) belated 30th wedding anniversary - better food than a Michelin star restaurant we had visited earlier during our travels. To breakfast. It was amazing and I would love to return.

This review is only for the restaurant experience for their Valentine s Day set menu. My boyfriend and I had dinner here last night. Overall, it was fine. Food was fine nothing to write home about. Service was great. Vibes were definitely off. It was not romantic at all. From photos and reviews online, I was given the impression that the food was fantastic and we d be viewing the sunset over the ocean during our dinner. However, what we got was good-ish food and a view of the parking lot. We spent the evening whispering to each other as to not disturb the dead silence. I see why the price was so low now for a set vday menu ($89 each without drinks). If you are anything like me (20 something Asian American), you ll stick out like a sore thumb. I definitely was not their usual demographic.

We just finished a five-night stay at the Stephanie Inn for our honeymoon and would have tried to extend our stay had we been able to cancel our other reservations. From the beautiful ocean view (and access to Haystack Rock!), to the well-appointed room, to the outstanding bed and bedding and the delicious food--there's no better place to stay than the Stephanie Inn. The rooms were very quiet, save for the sounds of the ocean. We were warmly greeted every time we returned and were treated more like houseguests than hotel patrons. We appreciated the hotel shuttle to town and the afternoon reception with wine/beer and appetizers. We also celebrated with dinner in the restaurant and the food and wine pairings were wonderful. (Note to vegetarians: this is a vegetarian-friendly hotel). I took advantage of the spa and highly recommend the massage services. The bunnies who live on the grounds are an added bonus. We will definitely return for an anniversary celebration (or for any excuse we can find).
