These guys were great. I had a hose pop on my way to the coast and I was able to limp my way to Gary's since they were the only place open on a Sunday. They fixed my car in a couple of hours but when I tried to drive home, i broke down again due to a faulty part. I called them after hours, they came and towed me into town and even dropped me off at the bus stop to catch the last bus back to Portland that day. They fixed my car the next day and didn't charge me for the tow or the second fix, since i was covered under their warranty. They were very helpful, understanding, and charge fair rates. Big shout out to Steve who really helped me through a stressful situation!

We had a flat tire and called Gary s 8 minutes before they were to close on a Memorial Day weekend. We got the tire off and headed their way in hopes they would wait for us. It was a couple minutes past closing hour and when we got there they were waiting for us. Unfortunately the tire was not repairable. We ended up installing the spare tire for the trip back to Portland. The point I wanted to make is they are very nice people, they go the extra mile to help a person in need. Thank you very much!!!

I needed help and I got in touch with the tow truck driver within 10 minutes. He was even able to pick me up on his way to my stranded car and dropped me off at Les Schwab. The service was fast and reliable, so grateful for the help! Will absolutely use them again in the future.

Great friendly service and surprisingly reasonable hourly rate.We ran off the road to avoid a collision and ran over a fallen tree, tearing up the undercarriage pretty good and triggering a check engine light.We were able to drive into Canon Beach and called Gary's when they opened the next morning. They were able to get us in the same day to look the car over to make sure it was safe to drive back into Portland. They fixed the damaged wiring causing the check engine light, removed some of the damaged plastic parts, and tied up others.We were able to drive home without issue, and took the car into the dealership a couple days later, they didn't find any issues Gary's missed.I've heard plenty of bad stories about small local shops like this, so very happy to be able to share a good one.

My van broke down in my campsite and the mechanic came out to my campsite to look at it. The next morning he towed it to his shop and fixed it quick in just two hours. I was a thousand miles from home on vacation and I was grateful to find great depth of character and professionalism illustrated by these guys.

Guys the Gary's cannon beach service were extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The starter in my 1977 Jeep went out on a Sunday. Steve was driving by and my wife flagged him down. He diagnosed it was the starter. He help push start it and get her on her way. The next morning got the starter ordered 2 hours later it arrived and installed in a timely fashion. Thanks for the vacation bailout much appreciated.

We lost hydraulics in our clutch in Cannon Beach 1000 miles away from home. They were able to tow us to a Uhaul nearby and helped us load up the car on the Uhaul and got us on the road! They were so kind and really helped us out in our time of need.

Got a flat tire while on vacation in canon beach. Stopped into this place and the mechanic couldn t have been nicer or more accommodating. I dropped off the car, went to public coast brewery and had a few beers (I m responsible, I wasn t the driver of the vehicle) and headed back over to a completed job an hour later. Only cost $20. Great people over there.

Yessssss must visit cannon beach. Just got gas at the service station but cannon beach us a must visit. Parts of goonies was filmed here... "hey you guysss"

Arrive in Cannon Beach for our much anticipated Labor Day weekend, trailer in tow and we realize our front breaks are shot! Gary s got us in right away and had us back on the road before 1pm, fair price and excellent service! Thank you for saving our weekend!

My break pads started squeaking a few miles from cannon beach so we were lucky to be staying near this service Centre. They took us in first thing in the morning and got me fixed in a couple of hours. Thanks!

I had to have a jump on the beach because my battery died. I call Progressive to file a claim for roadside assistance and I get a text with this guy's information saying that he was estimated to be there an hour and 24 minutes later. I go around trying to find people and finally found someone two help me jump start my car. So my car is jump-started by this nice couple and I go to call Progressive but can't get through to them to cancel. So i call this company and he proceeded to lie to me and said he needed the last 4 of my vin and my License Plate number to call in and cancel it for me. I finally get a hold of Progressive and they said he called an said the job was finished. Not a good way to do Biz Gary!

My truck broke down in Seaside, alternator went out. After calling several mechanic shops we called Gary's and found out they were open on Saturdays, thank God. Made an appointment for 10am was down at Cannon Beach at 9:45 and they promptly got our truck in. We had gotten the part from Napa, and after they installed it, found out the part was defective. Not their fault. They called Napa and found out that not even the Napa in Portland had our alternator. They suggested we call AutoZone up in Warrenton who did have our part, but they did not deliver. We were looking at getting a cab from Cannon Beach up to Warrenton and back down to Cannon Beach, when Pedro our mechanic suggested Royal Cab in Astoria pick up our part and bring it down to us. We called royal cab, and they were more than accommodating. Had our part 2 Us in 30 minutes and within 20 minutes we were on the road again. These guys were awesome and went above and beyond.

My car broke down on the 101 with my daughter and dog in the car. Not only did they promptly come tow my car. They also fixed it that day at a respectable price. I can't recommend this shop more. If I could give more than five stars I would!

Called to get a quote on getting a car out for someone. The bill was around 900 dollars and I offered them a little less seeing if they would work with us. After being treated rudely on the phone and then asking to talk to the owners son who was afraid to admit he was the owners son told me to come in on Monday morning and there was nothing to do and when I asked why can't you just work with us I have 750 right now he said because your a white boy and I'm going to sell the car for 1500 and there's nothing I can do about it.

Had a slow tire leak and technician easily found an embedded screw, plugged, and repaired. Would definitely go here again if car needed service.

THE BEST! I called them to TOW my old 81 Ford pick up to the repair shop because it wouldn't start.Steve came promptly with the tow truck, hooked up some wires to the starter box thingy that were not connected and FIXED it on the spot! WooHoo!Recommend Gary and Steve highly! WooHOO! Thank you Steve!

Had a tire that was going flat while visiting Cannon Beach and the staff at Gary's helped take care of me getting air in the tire and able safely send me on my way. Really appreciated the save and kindness.

This company is awesome. I needed fuel and was already late for an appointment. They showed up with fuel in less then 30 minutes and I was on my way. Very polite , friendly and very professional. Thank you a million times.

Gary s Service was there in 15 minutes when we locked keys in our car, even though we were way back in a state park! They were courteous, fair, and so fast!

I stopped by to have them take my spare tire and put it on my trailer wheel. They said they didn't have the right machine which I saw sitting in the corner to do it. After working 10 years at Les Schwab I knew it wasn't that they didn't have the machine, they just did not want my business. I will never be back.

Broke down just outside of cannon beach, got towed here as it was closest and couldn't have been more pleased. Friendly, honest service. Found my problem and fixed what they could in just a couple hours.

Came here because I got a flat tire in the forest and they said they would charge 25 to patch the tire.i came in and they told me they don't patch cars the plug them and wanted to charge me 5 dollars more to put the tire on the car . Definitely would go to Costco over this auto shop,they have poor costumer service and are rude,if u don't wanna work don't go to work
