Stopped in to have them diagnose the cause of my Check Engine light. Stuart was so kinda and knowledgeable and didn't pressure me into a repair. He ended up replacing the O2 sensor on my Ford 150 and had me back on the road in less than an hour. Im only in Burns for the week and he was able to get it all done same day.The vibes in this place were great, they didn't talk to me like I was some dumb woman (like many auto shops) and I would definitely recommend to other women.He even gave me some advice/knowledge on another larger repair that I needed, knowing that the work would go to a mechanic in a different city. I'm honestly thinking about extending the length of my trip to allow him to do the larger job. I was on a road trip in a rental and needed to get my oil changed. The first two places I stopped at couldn t get me in. This place did a full bumper to bumper check, and I was very impressed with the service. There s about 10 letters of appreciation inside the office that reflects the service here. Highly recommend.

Superior, professional service! Craig and Bill are the best. We were traveling through Burns and needed some work on our tow rig. Called ahead they said stop in and we'll take care of it-- and they did! Quickly and efficiently. Thanks guys!

Passing through Burns, I noticed my van was making a strange noise. Another shop that was busy, highly recommended Yekels. The gentleman at Yekels right away checked my van and found the problem in no time. He was so nice, knowledgeable, and reassuring. It's so refreshing to know there are such good people to help you when you're in a long trip.

The owner and his staff went above and beyond in their efforts to fix our vehicle during a long road trip. I have never had such quality care from a mechanic. They scoured the country side for a radiator for our old truck, and got it in the very next day. They were up front and clear about what parts would cost, and extremely thorough about making absolutely sure they'd found the correct problem. Their thorough professionalism and care for us was fantastic. You couldn't ask for a better mechanic shop!

After a long day of shooting Sage Rats, I found myself with an alternator that went bad. Had my Suburban towed to Yekel's the next morning. Stuart diagnosed the problem and had me on my way home in about two hours. The price was reasonable. Since I was traveling, Stuart took the time to get me back on the road quickly. If your looking for a repair service and qualified technician, give them a call.

My transfer case on my 2001 Silverado exploded while on a cross country road trip (thankfully it happened in town). I called multiple repair shops who all said they couldn't see me for 4-5 days. I called Yekels and they told me they'd diagnose it and let me know. Long story short, they diagnosed and then went out of their way to locate a replacement transfer case off a buddy's/cousins/friends rebuild ( I may be getting that chain of custody wrong haha). With the current parts shortage, it's a miracle they could do what they did. Another local I was talking to say that Yekels is the one place that'll help you get back on the road if you're traveling through, putting you ahead of other people who might be able to wait. The crew was good, the work was good, and I owe them a family vacation (and a case of beer which is in the mail). Thank you again. First of all, they did not fix my car (because it wasn't actually broken) what they did do was take my concerns seriously and 2 mechanics came out to my car and we looked it over for a strange noise we kept hearing. Pro tip: don't leave your am radio on a random station while you drive around. It will make crazy sounds when you drive under power lines and past electrical substations. These guys were great and wanted to help, even though the real problem was my own stupidity. Thanks guys!

Yekels was an answer to prayer! We had an issue come up with our car (check engine light was flashing for a couple of hours),on our trip from Southern Oregon headed to Utah. We were in a time crunch when we "limped" into Burns, and after visiting several of the other mechanics in town who were not able to help us or work us in at last minute notice, the owner made the time to not only look at it, but quickly found the problem, explained everything in detail so we could understand, and then took the time to fix it correctly, despite the fact that he was already overbooked. He was friendly and honest, and I just wish Yekels was closer to home! I would definitely recommend Yekels Repair.

While on our first anniversary we had an unexpected breakdown. We asked Todd of "Sams Service" & towing who he would take his rig to and we took it in faith. We were not disappointed as Mr. Yekel the owner operator stayed late and worked very hard to serve us and get us on our way. My wife and I both have mechanic experience and know an honest man Staurt Yekel is just that! I cannot more highly recommend them this shop and we have nothing but respect for the way out of towner's were treated!

Broke down in remote Burns OR. You cannot find a more honest shop than Yekels Repair. Stuart, Craig and crew are the best! I would have paid twice as much without a complaint. I cannot say enough good about Yekels....

Excellent, friendly, and affordable service! My husband and I were driving through and ended up stranded at the truck stop when our water pump went out. These guys had us back on the road within a couple hours at a more than reasonable price! Highly recommend!

He went way out of his way to help. We broke down passing through. All shops, including his were booked out for weeks. He took time out of his extremely busy schedule and called everyone in town he knew and found someone to help us out. Everyone else just said sorry we can't help and sent us on out way. People like him are a blessing to humanity.

Charged $98 to run diagnostics on the vehicle. Told that the alternator was the problem/was dying. Drove it another 600 miles to our next destination, had a second mechanic look at it, and the problem was not the alternator.

Smart man. Knows the inside and outside of a vehicle. Had my fuel pump and filter out, changed, and out back together in just a few hours. 10/10

These guys were great, even though they were booked they still got me in and got my car fixed within 2hrs. I was in the middle of a road trip when my car started misfiring, they got me back on the road immediately . Thank you guys!
