If I could give Don 10 stars instead of 5 I would! He is a stand up guy who gets the job done right. Every mechanic or shop has a wait time at the moment and he got my car in sooner than expected. He found the issue right away and was able to fix it for a price that was more than reasonable. He even went above and beyond and helped with other issues. I will bring back every vehicle I own to him because he truly cares about getting your car back on the road and making sure everything is okay. Definitely drop in if you need work on your vehicle! Don's super friendly and professional, and was patient in answering all my questions (I know near 'bout zip about cars!). I had a lovely fender bender this summer: he was able to find a new bumper to replace the wrecked piece, and in addition to straightening out the metal pieces behind the plastic "shell" of the car front, he did a fabulous job cleaning the front headlights and fixing up a persistent oil leak. All the parts and labor came to a *fraction* of the price I would have paid back in my hometown (Bay Area), and I really appreciate him putting in the time to bend a bunch of metal rather than defaulting to "sorry, your car's totaled: best of luck finding a new one." Best of all, my twenty-year-old car looks JUST as good as when I bought it off Craigslist: woot woot! :)

I am so thankful that Don was able to save the day after my power steering belt decided to rapidly disintegrate just near Mt Hood Coffee Roasters. (My other favorite place). It was Sunday and his day off but without hesitation he answered the call, stopped at the Sandy auto parts store to pick up new belts, picked up his tow trailer just in case , and met me in Rhododendron within an hour of the call. It was a good thing that he thought about the just in case scenario. It turns out that Mazda CX-9 is a fun car to drive but not so fun to change belts on. Definitely not a parking lot job ! So back to his shop we went. 2 very hospitable hours later, the car was done, we found new friends and learned a lot about living and playing in the Mt Hood area. No extra charge for Sunday. No upcharge for the tow . No 150% markup on parts. And a total cost so reasonable it was a joy to pay the bill. And I ve found a mechanic that I trust and respect for life ! If my vehicles needing repair or service are driveable, I will be taking them there. Next up is a dash and AC repair on the old Dodge Ram and maybe even a complete engine swap ! Thank you Don !
