Received positive and quick interaction at check in and check out for scheduled appointment. Car was inspected as well for other issues. Issue found for leaking gasket. SubaGuru was able to send me a detailed estimate in email in a timely manner. Overall great experience and will definitely continue to use them to my Subaru service.

I had a wonderful experience here!I'm going to be moving in a few months and wanted to make sure my car was in tip top shape to make a 1800mi drive. I also wanted to look into an issue with my windshield washer reservoir.I brought my car here just for a diagnostic at 9am and received notification that it was done by 11:30am. Turns out I don't need much work, and the only issue was that the washer fluid sensor is faulty, but not in dire need of replacing unless I absolutely wanted to.Everything was super reasonably priced for my inspection, the staff was all very kind and informative when discussing my car with me, and I definitely will come back here again if I need anything before I leave!Bonus points for the business name I love a good portmanteau and a play on words.

Absolutely love the details in the inspection report. There were pictures, videos, and it was easy to understand. They were very kind, got my car in VERY quickly, and my overall impression was great. Will definitely return to this auto shop for any work to be done on my Subaru!

Had a leak in our outback. I was able to get an appointment almost immediately. Asked if I could get a ride home but better yet, I was provided a loaner. Problem resolved same day, in and out service, top notch experience. Thank you!!!

This place was highly recommended. They worked with my insurance company. Got my car in asap. Also gave me a loaner car while mine was being repaired. Will return for future services.

I came in for the 100k miles subaru maintenance. Since I bought my car a few years ago I always bring it to subaguru, only place I trust! I moved out of Bend recently, and came back just to get this service done. They got it done for me in THREE days and it was a huge job!! Normally it takes about 2 weeks, but they were so kind to get it done quickly so I could get back home. I will never ever take my car somewhere else. Subaguru is the best!!

I have been to SubaGuru three times for a variety of service. I trust them to tell me what really needs to be fixed, and they have always done the work as promised. Customer service is also excellent.

With my forester xt turbo going out on the way to NV, they were fast at getting it looked at and getting me the information I needed to move forward on how I was going to proceed on the car. Super friendly as well.

So far I have had great experiences. The people were friendly and extremely helpful. Each time I feel like they give me all the information and will do right but me. They are straightforward, knowledgeable, transparent and not working to push you into unnecessary work. And the work they do has been quality work.

I picked my car up today after having the timing belt and head gaskets done with the supporting preventative maintenance. I immediately noticed the car sounded smooth and idled without the tick on starting up. The drive home was flawless and smooth. Very happy with the work so far.

I took my 2000 Subaru Outback to Suba Guru after my well-reputed mechanic gave a diagnosis that I wanted a second opinion on, and, sure enough, it was wrong. Marshall made sure that the parts needed were found, and made sure that the repair was done perfectly, and then gave me a great deal. I'm thrilled at my car's performance now. It's like new!Service: Engine repair

Holy monkeys! The repairs aren't even finished yet on my Forester, but I have to post about how professional, attentive, and knowledgeable this place is! I'm getting my alternator replaced. From the moment I walked in and talked to Sydney at the front desk, I knew I found my new shop. She was patient and kind while I stumbled through my story of how my car broke down. She gave me different cost estimates before I left so I knew what to expect. I've received calls and messages all along the way explaining what has been found. I talked with 2 gentleman working on my car, who thoughtfully explained the overall condition of my vehicle to help me make a more informed decision about what to repair and what could wait. Thoroughly impressed! This is a superior auto shop!

I brought my wife's 2016 Forester in for a check engine light and it was an o2 sencer. Upon further inspection they found a leaking gasket. They got the repairs done a day early and for less than quoted. The staff is incredibly misogynistic, diagnosed my car incorrectly without even touching it. Took my Subaru Legacy in for new thermostat and was told that by the smell and looks of the car and I quote I get paid the big buck s to tell people this that my car needed new heads and it would be 3K. I respectfully conversed through the mansplaining I was being given and ultimately picked my car back up. I did give them the opportunity to do the thermostat but was given the ultimatum of 3K or go elsewhere. So I went elsewhere. It s been over a thousand miles on my new thermostat and my Legacy is purring like a kitten.I have an OG posting that was obviously too truthful and honest so it got taken down. Shame on SubyGuru for hiding the facts.

As a customer, it was an absolute delight to speak with the manager Matt about my vehicle. I had SubaGuru inspect the vehicle prior to purchasing it and both Matt and his team were forthright about the issues with the car and what it would take, and cost, to complete the necessary repairs. They even squeezed me into their hectic schedule to inspect the vehicle THAT DAY. The car was in the shop for a day and a half and is now running beautifully. I can't thank them enough for their superior customer service, outstanding communication, honesty, and expertise in performing the maintenance and repairs my vehicle required to get it back into shape. If you live in Central Oregon and aren't taking your Subaru to SubaGuru, you're making a mistake. I highly recommend this business. Thank you again to Matt and everyone at SubaGuru for your excellence!!~Patrick

Coming back to write a review about the time they straight up lied to me saying my head gaskets were gone, quoted me $6,000 among other problems when in reality the car wasn t running due to a bad alternator. They take advantage of younger people because they think they don t know any better.

Our car was broken into while in the parking lot at the SubaGuru in Bend waiting to get looked at. Even though they provided an old window out of another car they charged us for the installation and cleanup of glass stating that the incident was not their fault. When I arrived two days later to pick up the car the window seal was not in properly, there was still broken glass everywhere and they left the keys on the dashboard of the car sitting in their parking lot. Not only was my car broken into but hey, let's leave the keys out in the open and post a sign that says come steal me! Although we understand that the initial break in was not their fault we absolutely feel as if they handled this completely wrong. Had this happened at my business the costs would have been taken care of. Saying to me "well, it wasn't our fault" is childish, terrible customer service and simply not the way to handle a situation like this. We did not have any of the work they suggested done by them and will never go back to them for anything. We hands down do not and will never recommend this mechanic

My car was in extremely bad shape when it ended up at SubaGuru and the customer service and mechanics here were AMAZING! I spoke with Marshall many times, who was extremely considerate and helped me make well-informed decisions every step of the way towards getting my car back on the road. They were also considerate about time constraints I had and cost of repair.I usually avoid mechanics due to fear of feeling taken advantage of (evidenced by the state my car was in when it ended up here) but these guys truly are awesome. Great prices, really really friendly and efficient staff. Take your subaru here!Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, Engine repair

Took them 4 days just to return my call, I was looking to get my turbo replaced and had cash in hand. So far from my personal experience, I am very pleased with their quote. Not impressed by their customer service. All in all though, if you're not it a huge hurry to getcher car fixed. Then I'd recommend them

Did a big overhaul on my car. Quoted me less than everywhere else and they beat their own expected time frame til completion. Charged less than I was quoted at, and when I told them I needed to bring the car in to get worked on after Friday due to a appointment at les schwab for a wheel alignment the guy (Marshall I believe?)told me he would do a wheel alignment for free for me since I was getting a lot of work done already. Would recommend these guys over the dealership. Diagnostics test was 65% of the price the dealership quoted me at. I'm sure they charged me 60% or less than the dealership would have for all the work. The work is also warrantied. I feel secure with my decision to go with them. Thanks guys. Deserve 5 star rating

I've been very pleased with the folks at Subaguru! My relationship with them began with the ultimate of repairs... replacing my engine.Since then, I've taken my car to them for all scheduled maintenance. They have been transparent every step of the way. They have even made clear when repairs were unnecessary, even when the dealership was suggesting they be done. (Sometime during all of this, my car was in the dealership for a recall fix... and of course, was returned with the suggestion of a bunch of unnecessary work... such as brake replacement, when I still had 60+%life on my brakes.)My only negative would be that they don't have any weekend or after hours availability, so even an oil change requires that I work it into my workday. (They do however, allow for after hours drop off and pick up.)

They are great! I have never felt like they have taken advantage of my ignorance. In fact, I have always felt like they have my best interests at heart. Comparatively, the prices seem fair but tend to be a bit higher than other places in town, regardless I keep bringing my car to them because I like them and more importantly trust them.

Brought my mom's subaru here the other day. They charged $130 just for the inspection (other places in town are FREE with oil change). They gave her a long list of things to replace and/or repair. I was skeptical since she hardly drives it, so I went and got a free second opinion at GY in Bend. Apparently, there was absolutely NOTHING even remotely wrong with the car! Literally NONE the items on the list was necessary!! They should be ashamed of themselves for trying to take advantage of an elderly woman! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS, THEY ARE SCAMMERS!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Had to have head gaskets done on our Subaru and Subaru was excellent. I did not have time to do the job myself and their pricing was very fair. Job was done on time and for the original quote. Very impressed with this shop!

We bought a 2014 Subie off their lot last November. We looked over the cars, no salesperson lurking or pressuring. They gave us the keys for the two we wanted to test drive. We decided to buy one, after the test drives and then they told us everything they would be doing to the car to make it as good as possible. That was essentially a 60K mile tune up and new tires. They even give a warranty on the engine / drive train for 3 years. The only "catch" is that the buyer has to get the oil changed every 3K miles. No problem! I called one day, got in for oil change the next day. In and out on time. I questioned why 3K instead of 5K, and was told it's because we live in Bend, Oregon where it is very dusty and a lot of particles in the air near the roads due to the cinders put on the roads in the winter for traction. Which is totally true. I am happy to support this local business. They provided us a very good car in very good condition at a reasonable price.

I took my car there wanting them to look through it to make sure it was in good condition and to see if it needed any general maintenance. They told me my check engine light was on for my O2 sensor, which I already knew, and told me I needed new rear wheel bearings but the rest of my car was in good condition. I had them take care of both of those for about $1500....pretty pricey..My car would run fine without the O2 sensor being replaced. They didn't even look at my battery or spark plugs, which BOTH needed to be replaced and is the first place to look at in an engine to see if it needs maintenance. They're pretty good car repair men but I do not recommend them if you need an actual mechanic.
