Excellent service. 40 years of experience. Diagnosis is spot-on and they get the job done right. Diagnosed to replace the original battery after two other shops claimed it was fine (until I was stranded and called Joe Palmeri). Professional family business that excels in engine overhauls and far beyond the simple stuff.

This shop did a pre purchase inspection for me when I was out of state. They were easy to work with and happy to talk to me on the phone multiple times.

This company blatantly lied and said they flushed my heater and that it needed a heating core. I got a second opinion and discovered it had not been flushed. I had it flushed and it worked fine. These people have no shame.

Joe & Joe are great. Honest, friendly guys who know what they're doing. How often do you pay less than the estimate at a auto repair shop? Well I did, and my car is running great! But feel free to go somewhere else and get ripped off.....

Joe is the best. He's always been clear about what work needs to be done, what work should be considered, and what work isn't necessary. I appreciate coming here because I feel like the mechanics are knowledgeable, but because I'm also treated well.I moved away from Bend, but over the past year I've scheduled car maintenance for times I'm in the area so that I can work with Joe. I've had to use one other shop in Arizona for an unexpected issue, but otherwise, Northgate is the only place I want to working on my car.

All I can say is if there were 6 stars I would have given them 6. My Outback cracked a drive shaft boot on the way down from Portland on a Friday, Grease everywhere. I called several shops and they were all backed up 2.5/3 weeks and didnt even want my car on their lot (Sub Gurus!) :(~ Anyways Blain was Awsome, set my expectations out a week and gave me a reasonable price. He said it would be a week and thats what I expect. The shop was closed Sat/Sun so I caught a ride back to Portland. Monday afternoon I received a call my car was ready. OMG!! talk about exceeding expectations. Great Shop, Great Service, Good Price, what else can you ask for when your 4 hours away from home needing a repair.Service: Steering & suspension repair

We recently needed a mechanic to do a car inspection on a car we were interested in buying Joe accommodated us at the last minute even though they were extremely busy and worked past business hours to get the job done. Very impressed. Would recommend them highly.

Friendly, honest and helpful. The new owners of Northgate are even better than the last! When everyone else was saying I needed a new transfer case in my lifted Duramax (ex-SEMA truck that s my pride and joy), Joe diagnosed my bad u-joint in literally 60 seconds, saving me almost $2000. (!!!) They also caught a slight leak in my power steering hose and topped off my fluid, because they re so thorough. These guys are just amazing, and I wouldn t take my baby (or my brand new daily driver) to *anyone* else. Plus, their rates are better than others too! Double win.Thank you, Northgate for top notch customer service in an industry where that s so rare anymore.

Joe got me in on pretty short notice, and was very helpful with diagnosing some issues on my truck, explaining everything to me, and presenting a couple different repair options since I'm on a tight budget. Thank you! Definitely would go back next time I need a mechanic.

They are very unorganized and can't be trusted to keep appointments or promises. I would recommend going anywhere else.I made an appointment weeks in advance, only to show up day of and not even be on their books. Then I was told I would have to leave my car all day, if not even longer, rather than the hour or so I had been promised previously. They were very unprofessional and a waste of my time.Service: Wheel alignment

Got my 4 runner back in great shape, super happy with the service & price! Upon my arrival to leave a review here, I was a little shocked to see Leonard's review, then I saw he slammed another shop the same day for the same issue... Seems a bit fishy IMO ..

I have a 6.0 Powerstroke that I brought to Northgate for work. Debbie was always very upfront with me and didn't sugarcoat anything or give me lowball estimates. When I had concerns after they made repairs they took several hours of their time to review all their work and make sure all of my concerns were met. Rick and Debbie stand behind their work. They are honest and go the extra mile for their customers.

I have been taking my cars to Rick and his crew at Northgate Auto for over a decade. Their work is always impeccable and their prices are very fair. I would not trust my cars with anyone else. These guys are the best.

Lived in Bend for 28 years. Have taken many cars to many a shop... Took our 2001 Subaru Forester in for a host of issues. The team took care of us, kept us updated (love the text messages) and the final price was clear and understandable. Highly recommend Northgate Auto.

Joe and his son at Northgate auto went above and beyond for me. I drove cross country and was stranded in Bend. Nobody could get me in within weeks and they even stayed late to get me on the road. I am very grateful!

I had unexpected car trouble and despite a busy schedule, they were able to squeeze me in so I could get back home to Portland the same day. Rick was great. He diagnosed the problem for free and gave me a quote. It ended up costing more than they said due to some problems but they fixed the issues and my truck runs perfect now!

Nothgate runs a very efficient and capable operation. They have done many repairs for me for vehicles and boats. They are far better than unresponsive and hectic dealerships. They can accomplish large, complex projects as well as simple ones.

Joe is great for squeezing you in to help fix your truck in a pinch, that part is great about this shop.However, be ready to be overcharged for parts and labor.

Small Christian owned repair shop. Very honest and prompt. Reasonable rates. Has a Diesel Mechanic as well. We will continue to use this place for ALL our vehicles. So thankful we found it!
