Cannot give enough compliments and gratitude to Mountain View Imports! Driving from BC to California, we had a small-but-urgent issue arise. Not only did Alyssa return my call within 10 minutes, she set me up with an appointment for when I would be passing through Bend. James was amazing - fixed the issue quickly AND checked tire pressure, brakes and fluids. Friendly, professional, reasonably priced -- sure wish you guys were closer... you would be our go-to, 100%. Thank you!

My BMW X5 shredded the serpentine belt on the way back from Redmond. Steel cords from the belt were pulled in behind the crank pulley and there was some other damage caused as the belt came apart. At the same time, one of the engine control modules failed. MVI got the issues diagnosed, parts ordered, and installed without any delays. Jonathon and Alyssa were great to deal with and kept me advised each step of the way.

I've been using Mountain View for oil changes on a 2013 Jaguar XKR, that requires oil that isn't readily available in most auto stores or generic oil changes places. After the most recent change, they recommended changing the power train fluids. Since I bought the car used and had limited knowledge of the maintenance history, I had them do the work.Afterward, the transmission was shifting roughly, particularly under harder acceleration. The guys at MVI took the time to allow me to try to duplicate it on the road (unsuccessfully). But were willing to check the transmission fluid levels on my request. They found the new fluid had some bits of metal in it, which weren't visible in the old fluid because it was so old. They recommended another fluid and filter change. So far, it appears to have resolved the problem.I appreciate the willingness to do the follow up on this and work with me, and also explaining the subtleties of the Jag transmission and maintenance schedule.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

Mountain View Imports was absolutely fantastic to work with. They went the extra mile at every turn, and did an amazing job through a difficult diagnosis and complicated repair. The communication, transparency, and flexibility of the entire staff was top notch. My car has never driven better, and I cannot recommend them enough

Amazing company! Can't say enough good things about the group at Mountain View Imports. James and Alyssa absolutely saved the day for me when my car dumped all it's coolant on the garage floor and I was afraid to drive it. Alyssa walked me through adding water to the reservoir so I could get it to their shop and then they were able to squeeze me in so I wouldn't be without my car for a day. Then they took the time to explain how my car's cooling system worked and what to do if it ever over heated Quality shop, talented techs and wonderful people!

Recently purchased a vintage Jaguar XK and I was concerned that I would not be able to find a shop for service. Not only did Mountain View service my automobile, they were able to diagnose & repair major cooling issues as well. Very professional and good communicators, kept me informed throughout the process (thanks, Alissa). James went out of his way to discuss repairs and recommendations.

This is the best shop in town! I own an 2015 Infiniti q40 and had the rear dif maintained at volvoline were they took out the oil and never put in any new oil. I started having problems and took it to a different shop were they quoted me at 5,700 for a new one. I called around and ended up going with Mountainview imports since they quoted me at less than 1,500$ To put in a barely used one. Within 24 hours of them having my car they were able to tell me that the person at valvoline did not fill the rear dif with oil after maintaining it. Prior to Mountainview telling me this I was completely unaware. They took a 5,700$ job and made it free as valvoline was responsible for paying for it. They found this issue while the prior shop I took it to did not because they are passionate at their work. James told me that he loves working on Nissans and it shows as him and his crew took the extra steps to fully understand the problem that my car was having. As long as I live in bend I will never go to another shop again. I truly had an amazing experience through them. If it wasn t for them I could have spent 5,700$ instead of zero to get my car fixed. Not to mention the reimbursements I was able to get back. Thank you guys so much! I appreciate your hard work.

I bought a Jeep with a Limp mode issue...Didn't appear to be a big deal.. After the sale I was handed a file folder and a manila envelope full of receipts... from 2019 to march 2022 it had been to over 14 dealerships and shops from Vancouver Wa. to Bend Oregon to attempt to repair the Jeep with no success.... I asked my friend that had a Jeep where she went for repairs... Thank goodness she referred me to Mountain View Imports... They got the job done when literally No-one else could figure it out. I am so happy with my Jeep and the service received.. Very reasonable and great communication...They will always have my business... James is the guy you want to see for your Z car. I brought in a 1990 Nissan fairlady twin turbo and was very happy to find a mechanic not scared but highly knowledgeable of my car. I am someone who is very very picky on who I give my hard-earned money to for work. If you got a Z car that needs worked on James would be the guy. Customer service was exemplary from the office to the shop. I will definitely use their services again.

Highly recommend Mountain View! I was visiting Bend for a month and was far from home, they provided excellent customer service and were willing to perform a service on my car they weren't used to doing. They called daily with updates on the status of my car and performed the service in a timely manner. Thank you to all the employees who helped with my car!

I need the driver's side window repaired after the mechanism broke. I had them put in a used part and it broke after 2 months. I just went back to have it diagnosed again and it was determined only a new part would work. The price was shocking!!! But John took off the labor price which softened the blow. James was super nice and efficient and helped me out right away. I will always take my car to these guys.Service: Auto glass repair

I had a fantastic experience at Mountain View Imports. They were kind enough to work on my Not-So Imported Jeep and get it ready to gift to our daughter. Honest pricing, finished quickly and it drives like new. No unexpected charges, excuses or issues. Christian personally walked me though every issue and how they fixed it. Highly recommend.

They were the only shop out of 8 that would agree to work on my 1964 Volvo 122S. They did complete brake hydraulic & friction replacement and no charge for a return brake adjustment & re-bleeding of hydraulic fluid.Great service!Service: Brake service & repairService: Brake service & repair

I went in to have my car looked at because it was misfiring mechanic or technician told me that the VVT solenoid would need to be replaced and that is behind the timing belt cover the whole job would ve cost over $1000 so before I paid that much I went and got a second opinion at the Subaru guru where they told me that I just needed new spark plug wires.I went and replaced my spark plug wires in my car was running 100% back to normal. Long story short I think they were just trying to assume it was the most expensive problem rather than trying to work out all the easy things first. Very disappointed.

I was so happy to find these guys after being put through the ringer by one of the other import mechanics in town (GMT). They are straightforward about pricing (their estimates tend to be more than the other place, but final cost actually ends up being less), they are knowledgeable, and they prepare you for how long it will take. Always felt like I could trust them, which is more than I can say for the other place. If you have an import (mine was a Mini Cooper), they are the best in town for everything from oil changes to the big fixes. I've had a problem with my 350Z--vibration and tire wear--that the dealer was not able to resolve. Exasperated, I turned to Mountain View Imports. They were very attentive and thorough in diagnosis, and resolved my problem. We have been going to Mountain View for one or both of our vehicles since we moved to Bend in 2005. They are terrific. Far more responsive than the local RAM dealership (in our opinion), and also extremely competent. This is a family business, handed from father (just retired) to son, so we are hoping they will be serving our community for years to come!

Excellent crew of mechanics and Christian, in the office expains repairs in a clear way to help one understand. They were able to help us break up some needed repairs over a few months to be a little easier on our budget. My car had been misdiagnosed at the Volvo dealer so we had some catching up to do. I would highly recommend Mt. View Imports!

I have used Mountain View Imports on numerous occassions with superior results. They have exceptional knowledge and ability to diagnose repairs, making every effort to minimize cost and a prompt return of our vehicles. Most often their final costs are less than anticipated. Their location is central to the city, their facilities are clean and organized, and they are always professional and respectful. I highly recommend them to all I know!
