One of two local mechanics that I trust with my everything that runs on fuel. I always use him first and he always is fair and accurate with his diagnosis and time. Michael is literally the best mechanic in Bend, and I will use him every chance I get... in part, because I've never had to return with one of my vehicles I've had him repair. He knows more about vehicles than anyone else I've ever known, and his service is beyond merely exceptional. There's a reason why his business is the only sticker I'll put on my Lexus LX!

This review is long overdue. Fortunately I have not needed to visit Michael recently. Over the years he has worked on my 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, including replacing and reprogramming my ABS. Michael is a genuine, honest human and a good communicator. He's the first person I will call when I need a mechanic.

We had a coolant link in our BMW X5, but we were unsure where the leak was coming from. Michael quickly diagnosed that the water pump had seized. Unfortunately, all this happened just before a huge snow and ice storm, so it took a few days longer than planned to get the parts. Michael called almost daily to keep me updated, then completed the work once the parts arrived. Very professional, friendly and communicative. I highly recommend CCC.

I recently took my imported 300zx to Cascade Car Craft, I knew I needed major repairs for it and didn't know who to trust. Soon after, a friend pointed me here, and I was amazed by the work done to my car. The engine needed major maintenance and all that was taken care of. Michael, the owner, went over everything with me and explained what needed to be done. He gave detailed reasons for why it's important to replace different parts. I really appreciate the honesty and the time set aside to answer all my questions. No other shop, do I trust more with my Z than here at Cascade Car Craft.

Michael is incredible. He was able to take a look at my sprinter van, diagnose what was wrong and get me back on the road. He did a great job explaining how the engine worked and what needed to be fixed. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle here if you need someone to take a look!!

Michael has been taking care of my GTI for five years and has been my exclusive mechanic/technician ever since I first met him at European Car Care. At the time I just moved to Bend and was looking for the best place to take my car for maintenance and repair. This is not usually an easy task as I have very high expectations and I'm very meticulous. In my experience most shops just don't care to put out the kind of product and customer service I'm seeking. I need to have absolute confidence that my car will receive the utmost care and attention. I know if I'm not treated well neither will my car. Upon meeting Michael I could tell immediately I liked him. His personality was very likable and I could tell he was passionate and knowledgeable not only as a technician/mechanic but as a car enthusiast which really resonated with. He spoke with respect, care, and attention reassuring me with a "I got this" attitude. That day and ever since Michael has always taken care of me no matter what. His prices are extremely fair and I believe often in the customers favor since he loves to earn business and deliver customer value. When Michael told me his ambition to start his own shop I was very excited and encouraged him to go for it. I was excited about the ideas he shared and his vision of being one of the only shops in town to offer services to hybrid/electric vehicles in addition to offering products and services aimed at enthusiasts. This is far removed from many auto shops that are only interested in basic services let alone the enthusiast community. I'm very proud and happy for Michael to have started his own shop, not just because it has allowed him infinitely more flexibility and control in what products and services he can offer but its allowed him the freedom and control to take his passion and shape the car community in bend in a special way. With his unique services and superior customer care Michael will take great care of your automotive needs ensuring you will be well taken care of and leave satisfied as I have every time I see him. I'm so thankful to have the relationship with Michael that I do. In all the years hes worked on my car he has become more to me then just my mechanic, he's become my trusted friend.

I recently moved here from Eugene OR and glad I found Mike at Cascade Carcraft. I don't trust many people to work on my car but after talking to Mike and learning about his shop and also being familiar with specific imports I felt comfortable to leave my car with him. My Nissan S14 240sx was having some issues with the airlift system and Mike thoroughly went over the vehicle and resolved the issues. Very honest and fair pricing as well! - NickService: Electrical

My family was visiting Bend for a short period and had car trouble with a 2006 Kia Sportage. A friend recommend Cascade Car Craft as a go to for diagnostic service. Expeditious car repair was desired in order to continue a road trip.I called Mike at Cascade Car Craft and he basically said he could see us immediately. (Note I did call around to other auto repair shops and wait times ranged from days to more than a week).Mike was really knowledgeable and really friendly. He performed a diagnostic assessment all the while explaining what actions he was performing, and why. He ended up resetting some electronics and we were on our way. Just fantastic service. If not for the immediate attention, we were going to be without a car for a significant period while putting the road trip on hold. Got a used Kia hybrid, and on the way home I had troubles- calling around the next morning (had some trouble finding someone who d work on the electric motor) Michael happily fit me in that same morning and took a full thorough look for me to figure out what happened. He gave me all the information I could have hoped for and more! It was a fantastic experience with amazing insights and knowledge, would definitely recommend!

Michael put a new motor in my car, through this experience I gained so much knowledge. It was quite the process finding all the various parts, but Michael tracked everything down and communicated with me every step of the way. I will not go to anyone else in town ever again. Highly recommend this automotive repair shop for all your car needs. My blinker was not working after I tried the obvious fixes and randomly stopped in here first. Michael was very kind and understanding to my needing to stay within my budget. He was not only willing but excited to help and was able to get me in quick. He was a complete joy to chat with and he even has his own podcast. Neat dude! After an hour of going above and beyond fixing my issue, he couldn't help but want to help further and polished my dull headlights and offered to fix little issues with my car doors. Then he refused my payment!!! I'll definitely be back for my oil change and all the little things I'd love fixed on my car! His fees are definitely reasonable and his service impeccable! Currently contemplating moving to Bend just so that Michael can be my mechanic! I was just driving through Bend and needed to have the exhaust on my Prius looked at. Called a couple places and everywhere was booked out weeks in advance for repairs. Michael was able to look at my car that morning and quickly diagnosed the problem. I was driving back East to Massachusetts and he made sure that my car looked good and there was nothing else that needed to be fixed. I was able to watch each step and really appreciated the work he put into my car. Michael is a great guy who I really enjoyed talking to and gave me a more than fair price. I really cannot recommend him enough. Please go here!!

I was very impressed with the customer service. I came in and Mike was very prompt in helping me diagnose what was wrong with my Prius and got me back on the road. This was my second time using him to help with my Prius he is very knowledgeable and good at what he does! I have taken a couple of our cars to Michael over the past 2 years for a variety of issues. He is always professional, fair and very friendly. I have also taken a couple used cars to him that I was thinking about purchasing...just to give it a once over before purchasing. He didn't charge me to do a basic look and helped advise me on things to be concerned about or not. I trust his expertise. Had some battery issues with an old Audi and got mixed advice from a service center here in town. Cascade Car Craft was recommended to me and when I called Michael he was knowledgeable about the potential issue and said he could fit me in that afternoon.He got the installation done in 10 minutes, was very kind and didn't even charge me for the work. Michael correctly diagnosed a transmission fluid leak in my 2008 Ford Escape that two other shops could not identify. He also took my SUV for a test drive to check out what I thought was poor engine compression, but turned out to be a minor hybrid battery issue. He was thorough and professional and didn't try to sell me on service the vehicle didn't need. I would definitely come back to Cascade Car Craft.Service: Transmission

The owner of this business, Michael Wallis was recommended to me when I purchased a used BMW with 100,000+ miles. Needless to say, there were a few issues and warning lights on. My first impression of the shop was impressive: it was clean and organized, with a beautiful Lamborghini sitting there too, so pretty.As we discussed my new car, it was obvious Michael knew exactly what he was talking about. He was clear and precise, which I appreciated very much as I am definitely not Mr. Goodwrench Michael performed several needed adjustments and replaced the water pump as well. I am now back on the road and there are no warning lights on my dash. How nice.Finally, I want to say the price was more than fair. After all the work on the car, my total cost was $600. Michael fixed up my old 02 BMW X5! It was feeling a bit old and running rough with various vacuum leaks as well as dripping oil, both power steering and engine. Michael did a great job of finding the problems and fixing them all up. He even did them incrementally to keep the costs minimal since he knew that I didn't want to throw too much money at the old car. Not only is Michael a top notch mechanic, he's very kind and easily the most friendly and community minded mechanic I've ever met. He exudes integrity, skill and professionalism. He quickly diagnosed my hybrid battery failure, hooked me up with a replacement battery for a fair price, and made sure everything was working properly to meet my rushed timeline. I brought in my 1990 Mercedes 420 SEL. Michael was able to diagnose and fix several complex problems in a timely fashion. Great service at a great price. Done with a knowing smile. Last of the honest mechanics!! Michael=peace of mind. We searched for quite a while before we found Michael at Cascade Car Craft, and I tell my all of my friends/family and neighbors to go and see him when the situation arises. Michael is extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy and charges fairly. You can trust Cascade Car Craft with your vehicle and to do the right thing!

First, I don't have a German car, Hybrid, Or electric. I have a truck, all I have are trucks, and I normally do my own routine maintenance. I trust very few to work on my babies.But hey, it was cold, and with a big storm rolling in, I needed help. I was wandering around and struck up a conversation late with Michael and set a time up for him to change the oil, along with fuel and air filters.He did an outstanding job. Even though this was out of his wheelhouse a bit, I had no concerns after visiting with him. He is knowledgable, smart and his shop was very, very clean.We chatted for hours about various cars we've owned and worked on. This is the way old school mechanics were. We are just people who both love cars/trucks. I had a great time. I trust him and his judgement.I wanted to stop and comment on how refreshing it was to see a young person work hard at making their own path. We get bombarded with so much negative imagery about the younger generations, that sometimes we paint all with a very wide brush. I've met several young guns so to speak, and all are very open, honest and really enjoy what they are doing. Thanks Micheal for your hard work and your dedication to your love of cars.

I would recommend Cascade Car Craft to anyone needing work done on their car. I took my '86 suzuki samurai that I swapped a '86 VW 1.6 turbo diesel. This has been my project vehicle for a long time. I needed a head gasket. These guys were very professional and were excited to work on some random vehicle. They communicated well about everything they were doing and recommended.

This is a REAL mechanic. Not a part replacer like most others in this area. He took the time to root out the main issue i brought it in for and nailed it.
