My experience at Futrell for a DEQ test was generally positive. The service was fine, and the staff was nice, prompt, and transparent about costs. I feel it's important to share my honest review, hoping it provides valuable insights for others.While the initial charge of $26 covered the test, there's an additional fee on DEQ Too's website to obtain the "passed" certificate. Futrell was upfront about this, which I appreciate, but it's a detail worth noting for those considering DEQ emissions tests. In contrast, some independent auto shops charge a flat $26 and efficiently update the certificate at no extra cost.This review is not meant to discourage, but rather to offer a friendly tip for future customers always inquire if the charge covers the DMV/DEQ emissions certificate to avoid any surprises. It's essential to have different options for a simple DEQ emissions test, considering varying fee structures.Discovering that other auto shops include the small fee for this task left us a bit disappointed, but every business has its practices. Some prioritize service over profit, and I encourage others to make their judgment call. Futrell, despite the additional fee, provides a service with transparency. Just be aware of potential extra costs and make an informed decision.

Really good service with my Audi Q3. - Fair prices compare to dealership and service was great! They went above and beyond fixing some other issues like cleaning my dashboard etc. now I m confident that my car is all ready for the next 5k miles.They should add complementary coffee to the waiting roomPerfect 10/10

A+ experience! I ve brought my Mk7 GTI multiple times for oil changes, and short shifter install. Today I brought it it for a full brake fluid flush. I paid $147 for a VW dealer for the service, yet Dean showed me what came out of the clutch line. Pure black fluid. Car even came back with a nice Futrell Autowerks plate frame

I did NOT get my car serviced this time at Futrell. I used to have my car serviced here 6 years ago. This specific review is for the customer service experience on Monday 10/02/23.Bad. The rep, Megan I think, was not knowledgeable, hard to understand on the phone, and wasn't able to provide closure to someone that's spent a lot of money at the shop.Moreover, I asked to speak to Dean, the owner, and wasn't allowed to do so. Not even via a call back at their convenienceI was also told that the shop is incapable of handling cars older than 2010. Weird. Mine is a 2004 Jetta that they've serviced for years. But nope, apparently they're not interested. It's fine if you don't want my business, no harm no foul. Just seems weird that I wasn't allowed to speak with Dean, and that they are incapable of going beyond 2010 'vintage'.Used to be a far better experience with them. And as I say this I realize I'm that old dude that says 'those were the days ...'.

While they were upfront about this fee, we later discovered a different independent auto shop that charges only the DEQ fee without any additional costs.This review is focused on principles rather than the monetary aspect. It's important to note that I am just one voice, and encourage others to form their own opinions based on their experiences. My review maintains that reputable auto shops typically cover DEQ fees without seeking additional charges from customers, a point that I believe is valuable for others to be aware of.

These guys are AMAZING. I purchased a used Audi RS7 with APR tuning from a local dealer. The car had a check engine light on before I purchased it and the dealer refused to address. I found out Futrell did the original tune and called them, talked through the CEL and the vehicle history with Futrell. Once purchased I took it straight to Dean. They helped diagnose the CEL, fixed it and looked over the car in detail for any potential future maintenance concerns. They even helped me find the company that performed the audio system upgrades. The level of detail Futrell has is impeccable, especially on such complex, high performance vehicles.I've owned several German cars over the past 20 years. My only regret is not finding Futrell sooner. These guys are honest, trustworthy and very fair and transparent in pricing.I'm a huge fan and customer for life. Dean really knows what he is talking about and is very professional. In the 10+ years I ve had my cars serviced here, I ve never had a single issue. There s no place I trust more for quality service than Futtrell s.

Dean and the guys at Futrell are awesome. They've installed a good amount of upgrades on my Audi S5 and the service is top notch. The work they do is superb. I'm an Audi guy for life and this is the place I'll bring my current and future cars to get work done.

I found this place several years ago after tiring of dealing with the local VW dealership, and have happily taken our car there ever since. What I really like is that this is a business for everyone. If you're a gearhead and you want to do fancy customizations and whatnot, there's a place for you at Futrell. If you're more like me, and you just want to make sure that when you turn on your car it continues to do car-like things, there's a place for you at Futrell as well. That's what I absolutely love, and what keeps me coming back. It is 100% welcoming to everybody. There's never any condescension, no "hey there little lady let me explain this to your husband..." Any questions I have are always given clear explanations, and I always leave feeling educated and informed.We've had everything from basic maintenance to an audio system change to side window issues, and the service has been quick and done correctly. There's no upselling; all services/repairs are clearly detailed. I trust that when I walk through the door, they're going to take care of me and my car.If you stay on-site, there's a comfortable lounge with wifi and a clean bathroom.The cherry on top? From the font on the front door to the life-size Darth Vader to the car wrapped in Star Wars, there's a clear SW aesthetic that I get a kick out of. Impressive. Most impressive.

Dean and his staff are absolute pros! I ve brought a couple different cars to this shop and they are always top notch. Not only are they excellent mechanics but they are honest and ethical too. Last visit they informed me that my car was still under warranty for the work that I needed. I would ve easily paid them to do it if they hadn t been so honest! Nothing better than an auto shop that you can trust!

This is the only place we will take our German vehicles (we currently own an Audi TT, Audi S4, and Audi Q5). I've been coming here since I got my first Audi back in 2012 (A3, RIP). We're mod monsters and these guys kill the modifications game. They're honest, trustworthy and cool as s%@& - they know their stuff and won't sell you repairs you don't need.Here we are a decade later and still bringing all of our babies to Dean, Megan, and the gang! Always a great attitude and great, honest service. Extremely knowledgeable, and the front of the shop is super clean and has a number of displays -- you can tell that this is a deeply passion-driven business. I visited Dean at Futrell Autoworks about 3 months ago to perform an APR stage 1 ECU-TCU tune on my 2015 Audi A3 2.0T and they made it an amazing experience. Since then I ve ditched the dealer and have started using Futrell for all my general maintenance and performance needs!

Timing chain on my S4 failed, trashed engine. Dean gave great advice on tracking down replacement engine. They updated timing chain guides and swapped engines. Work was flawless at reasonable cost that beat Audi dealer quote by quite a bit. I am grateful I found such a fantastic shop and will be using them to maintain my aging but irreplaceable V8 going forward.

As a car guy who has dealt with many shops over the last 25 years, both for general automotive and for custom build stuff (classic, domestic, foreign), Futrell has been the best experience I have ever had. They corrected a mistake made by another shop with integrity and expertise, attention to detail, and communicated more than any shop I've ever encountered. This will be by go-to shop going forward. So happy my neighbor recommended this business to me. Dean was great at explaining what was wrong with my MK7 Golf R and recommending parts and services. The shop is spotless and customer service is stellar! Thank you so much Futrell Autowerks for doing an amazing job replacing my clutch, downpipe short throw shifter and tune and getting my car back to me the same day! I will be back for all future service!!! Keep up the awesome work!

Random time to leave a review, but I was scrolling on instagram and I saw a post and reminded me to leave something. Ive been a customer of Futrell Autowerks since 2015. Ive have owned 3 s4's and 1 s5 and they have all been tuned, worked on, and maintained by this shop. Heres the thing, they know what they are doing. They do oil changes and they also do full engine rebuilds. They can lower your car, and they can also add 250 + HP to your car. Reputable tuning and repair shops are few and far between. Take your car here for an oil change, and you'll find them going the extra mile to add a few fasteners, fix that little tab here and there, and make sure you are 100% satisfied. I wish I still lived in Beaverton. I find myself still emailing Dean asking for advice. This place is incredible.

I've taken my car to Futrell a few times over the last two years and couldn't be more satisfied. Dean and his staff are great to work with and incredibly knowledgeable. They have never suggested unnecessary work, and always provide excellent customer service. They are always quick to get back to me and flexible with my schedule. I will be returning for the next upgrade/maintenance that my car needs.

Just came back from Futrell Autowerks and am incredibly impressed by their professionalism, customer service, super knowledgeable, and honest and upfront. Also great attention to detail. They moved quickly on getting one of my vehicles done on several items that take a lot of work, reasonable prices too. The shop was organized and clean. Excellent and super happy.My car sounds and drives a gazillion times better. They are incredibly awesome and amazing.

I no longer own an Audi, but during the years I had it, I always went to Dean and his crew to have it serviced. They always went the extra mile to ensure my car was fixed right and the quality of their work is top-notch. Their knowledge is thorough, and any problems were quickly and correctly troubleshot. Staff is friendly and the waiting area is comfortable and chic. My needs and concerns were always their top priority. I wholly recommend Futrell Autowerks to anyone seeking a Volkswagen/Audi mechanic.
