I have a 25 year old Chevy pickup and Bandon Auto Repair has been excellent at diagnosing or confirming the issue with several problems that have come up. They were prompt in keeping me informed and explained what was needed and why.The only issue is the appointment to actually do the repair may be a couple weeks wait. That s what happens when your good reputation makes you in demand!

Threw a belt while on a road trip. This crew did everything possible to get me back on the road asap. Incredibly professional and fair, true team players. I wish they were located in Seattle, I d make them my home shop!

BEST IN BANDON!!! I am absolutely thrilled with the service I receive every time I take my car into Bandon Auto Repair. The entire staff is friendly and professional. I have an older car, and they have always worked very hard to save me as much money as possible on repairs. They are my go to auto shop and I would give them a 10 star rating if I could!

We stopped by on our way on our way in from California because a check-engine light on our RV's Sprinter had come on. The got right on it, ran a scan, and it turned out to be an erroneous setbelt error. They reset it, and wouldn't take any money for their time. I'm told by our friend who lives in Bandon that is typical for them.

Our camper van broke down and even though this repair shop was clearly very busy and booked out for several days, the owner James kindly gave us some quick diy advice to try to replace our coolant sensor ourselves. We were able to get the part but couldn t find where it was located on the engine. One of the mechanics helped us locate it. When we couldn t get the old sensor because of not having the right tools , the owner was kind enough to squeeze us in for an appointment the next morning. Very knowledgeable, reasonable charge and excellent service! I felt they went above and beyond and everyone we spoke to was friendly and helpful. I am so grateful we found this repair shop and highly recommend!!Service: Auto maintenance

This guys deserve heaven! James and his staff are very helpful people! I was coming from San Francisco to Portland and my tire get flat, so, it was imposible to find a tire for my car at Bandon City for the same day, I was stuck there for one day, then I went to this shop and James figure it out and found me one right away, he took me to another city to pick up and install the new tire on the wheel and bring me back to his shop, he did a lot for me, he help me and finally all works for good I get home. �God bless you guys!

***UPDATE 08/03/23**: I continue to be impressed with Bandon Auto! I brought my car in for the scheduled repairs and it was discovered that they received the wrong part. Unfortunately, the correct part is on backorder with an unknown ETA, but they put my car back together and explained some work-arounds I can try in the meantime. Michael was very thorough and patient, and answered all my questions. James assured me he ll keep trying to get the part or, at least, an ETA. I wasn t charged for the tear down and reassembly today, and I have my car back for the weekend. These guys are friendly, honest and communicate well. Even though repairs aren t yet completed, I m still very pleased with the service! Definitely recommend. ***I m very pleased with Bandon Auto Repair! I ve had a nagging electrical issue with my passenger side window, as well as a rubbing noise from the steering when backing/turning. They did a thorough inspection/test drive and ruled out any serious issue with steering/suspension. After doing an oil change/service and lubing the chassis, the noise seems to have resolved itself. They ve diagnosed the electrical issue as a shorted out door switch actuator due to water exposure, and will be replacing it next week. I anticipate it will resolve the issue. Their prices are very reasonable, and service is great. I would recommend!Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance

We were 1300 miles from home and had an issue with our diesel truck. Fuel injectors. On our truck this is a major job and not cheap. We could have driven home but the engine could have suffered major damage.I have to say they charged us a fair price for parts and their labor charge was also fair. But the best part was their service. They quickly diagnosed the problem. They worked over the weekend to get us our truck back the next week. We had planned to stay at the state park for a week so it did not upset our trip too badly.But our truck was fixed and we made it home. Our truck ran better on the way home than it has in a long time. When on the road, you always worry about the auto shop taking advantage of travelers. That is definitely not the case with Bandon Auto. While it was an expensive repair, their price was fair, the quality of work excellent and the service far above average. If you are on the road and need an honest shop, I think this is one of the best.

In town from Canada, zero clue who to call! Stressed and frustrated. Called and the kindest voice said, no problem for us to squeeze you in if you can get it here. We did. They kindly and efficiently did a quick test and had us on our way.Thank you Coughlin!!

We were traveling from Canada down the coast to the Redwoods on a family vacation. The brakes started having an issue so we stopped here at 7:30 am and they had us back on the road by 11:30 am with new rotors and pads. When the check engine light in our campervan started flashing we called the guys at Bandon Auto Repair. They worked hard to get us back on the road again. We had to wait overnight for a part and they even came in on their day off to fix our van. Everyone was friendly and professional, especially Tony. My oil dip stick was broken off and jammed up in the tube. Experts from the Chrysler Delearship could not pull it out. James from Bandon Auto Repair had the dip stick extracted in 5 seconds. We highly recommend this business for vehicle repair.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

I was traveling and stranded when my car wouldn t start. I was grateful Bandon Auto was able to fit me in that day. They installed a starter. They charged me the same for a remanufactured starter as it would have been for a new one. Two hours down the road, the car would not start. It was the same symptoms. My bill was 557.00 and the car still would not start. I had it towed to a shop. The starter had a warranty, but as it turned out, they had not tightened the battery cable. Makes me wonder if it was ever the starter.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This is a long over due review! Sorry!Our VW bus lost its muffler on our way to the Redwoods for our daughter long awaited high school graduation trip.We were having a wonderful time until we lost the muffler just before 5pm on a Friday.These kind people were so kind to stay late, fit us in and get us back on the road in no time!I even tried to pay them more but they refused to take my money.WONDERFUL people and a millions times recommended!!!

Highly recommended! For several reasons -- they were able to fix 2 issues (one a tire pressure light that seemed to be malfunctioning and needed attention) that other mechanics couldn't fix or said would be more costly and time consuming, but they did it with relative ease, I was amazed and delighted at the skill and willingness (namely Tony). Very good people, very fair prices, very good quality of service. I had a last minute trip out of state due to a family emergence and needed an oil change. They asked me when I wanted it done and the set up a time. Not only that, I realized they had replaced my tail light bulb and said nothing. Thank you !!

On the road, had some rattle in the rear end. Navigator found them. They rose to occasion, even helping to find overnight accommodations. Drove me to hotel. Management involved with competent mechanic for details. Advised that gear grinding may have affected bearings. Reasonable to tend to. Done. Now in eastern Wyoming on way home. Smooth as a baby's bottom. I recognized their confidence. You will too.

My husband and I were traveling from AZ to OR to spend time on the coast. Just as we started across the desert the a/c in the cabin went out on our RV, a Ford F350. Two miserable days of driving in the heat. It was the weekend so not much we could do. On Monday morning we were in Bandon and looked for a repair shop. We weren t hopeful of getting a fair deal being in a small town and desperate. While it wasn t hot in Oregon we knew the trip home back across the desert would be awful. Long story short they got us in even though they were very busy (a good sign we thought) and out the door quickly even though parts had to be ordered. They stayed until 7:30 pm finishing up so we could get back on the road. The a/c was running cold once again! I would highly recommend this shop.

New owners BEWARE. not only ridiculous prices but poor mechanics. left my 2001 Ram for some wiring repairs. after completion It would not crank over enough to start, after my own investigation I found one battery not even hooked up and the terminal clamp on the other battery was only hand tightened. This is what I did when I was 16. Amazing at $90 hr the mechanics are not smart enough to properly hook up the battery. go down the street to the next shop and avoid these guys. red 2001 ram diesel
