The new kiosk check in to get your number in line was a little slow to learn when the office opened at the scheduled time (and there was the usual grumbling back in the line) but we kinda gathered around each other and really sped up the process for ourselves and those behind us by knowing what was coming.Went steadily thru the numbers and the monitors with the wait time was accurate! 5-10 minutes? Really? Seemed to me like it was going well and then I was out of there.Very helpful staff made it a quick, easy process.Thanks

OK, this has got to be the best DMV in the country, seriously, the best. A very helpful staff, always friendly and competent. Great parking! They got every thing done quickly, no fuss... well, OK, they didn't wash my car, but I'm sure they would if they could.

New kiosk worked good. The estimated time it gave me was accurate and the lady s at the desk were very nice and helpful.

You have gotten be kidding! The DMV is closed on Friday due to staff shortage. The State requires its citizens to title and register their vehicles, but they can't even staff their own facilities! What a joke!! There was at least 10 people at the location looking g to title or register their vehicle/trailer, but the State failed in providing services to help us citizens follow the laws they have for ed upon us. I took time out of my day to go to the DMV to get a vehicle titled, so I could get it properly licensed, but the State could not staff their own facility. The real problem is- the State government employees could care less about taking care of the citizens it's employed to do just that.

This is a super busy place! Many of the things you need to do there, can be accomplished via the website.Do the forms online before you go to the office. There s limited space and seating, and you take a number and wait until it s called.The Google graph that estimates how busy they are is very accurate!

The lobby was not crowded and they allow staydby's. So get there early , first come first serve. If you found this review to be helpful please like it!

I had a little bit of weight but it's understandable. They were understaffed to meet the demand of the people that were waiting. But overall the agents that were helping we're a really nice and got it done

Waited 2 hours. They need an appointment system at this DMV. There were quite a few people that didn't get to take their test cause the wait was too long. The kid next to made it by 3 minutes and only cause the 4 numbers before him had left.

Fast & pleasant! No wait time at all. I believe her name was Corri, can't be sure. Very nice and patient with my mistakes! LoL... easiest transaction I have ever had at DMV

I drove there from Beaverton during Covid to get my license renewed since it was bound to be less busy. I was so grateful that I did. The people were so nice and it took such little time compared to the DMV near me. The drive was also awesome. I love Astoria and this experience was wonderful. Thank you!

This was a good choice for a dmv real id. We arrived at 10:00 am on a Wednesday, it only took about 20 min to get our number called. By the time we left, there was no waiting line! Great, fast service! Note no appointments available other than for driving tests.

Updated a vehicle title and registration at the counter and came away with tags and temporary title and registration. The office opens at 9 am. The wait for service was reasonable. Everything went smoothly, and I accomplished my goal.

I've had decent experiences with them before. I need to renew my trip permit before the end of the year and am waiting in the parking lot while they're open, but their door is locked. I've been waiting on the phone for the past 20 minutes for "the next available representative" and there is no one inside. Doesn't make any sense...Update: Their hours changed from 9-5 to 9-3 due to a "staff shortage". Even the guy I talked to on the phone had no idea the hours had changed. The least they can do is post the change on their door.

Lines move very efficiently in Astoria. Eva was wonderful. We had to go in twice because we didn't have receipts needed for new registration and title for a rebuilt trailer. She was very patient and professional explaining what was needed and whyEven though we live in a different county, we always head to Astoria because of the friendliness, professionalism, and patience of the clerks. I am sure they hear the same questions throughout the day but they treat each new customer with a smile and a positive outlook.Keep up the great work and atmosphere.

Wonderful service and very friendly staffI almost love coming here ;-)Staff is doing everything they can to make our visits successful. That's amazing and very different than at most of the other DMV offices we have been to before!Wait times are also usually very acceptable.

DMVs generally have a bad reputation (and they earn it) but this is one of the good ones. Pleasant, knowledgeable people, fast service, overall a great experience.

For one, this is the first DMV that I've ever been to that plays music in the waiting lobby which is great! Also, great views of the bay. Service was prompt, Jeff was super helpful and patient with my endless questions and got me in and out in less than 20 minutes. I typically get anxiety when going to the DMV but this was a great experience!

We had a great experience, having a number and knowing you didn't have to wait was very cool but what was better was the amazing service we received from the team there. We had even wanted to do something about renewing and moving a vanity plate from one of our cars to another. And thought we'd probably be directed to thewebsite to fill out a bunch of forms. Instead we were told yeah I can help you with that today and so we did that as well as upgraded our driver's licenses to real ID.I'm still smiling about it

I went in to register my car and to renew my driver s license. Great customer service and very little wait. Such a departure from other DMV s I have gone to in the past. Made what could have been a lengthy process very painless and easy. Thank you for all you do!

I showed up at DMV without an appointment. The girl at the door was awesome. She really had all the answers to my questions and also took the time to resolved my problem. I went to Astoria office. Wish I would of gotten her name because I would write her boss to them what a great employee she is. Thank you so much.
