We stayed at one of the RV sites with our family which would have had enough room for our tent as well! Beautiful location right beside the river. Perfect launching pad for our boating excursion where we hired a fishing guide. We caught a 25lb salmon!!! As well as 3 medium sized salmon and a steelhead. Also hooked an 8ft sturgeon!! Got him on video breeching twice!! It was incredible!! We cut him loose but it was insane to see such a monster leap from the river! The water was great to swim in too. Major highlight was the family and community vibe. There was an event to help support the fire fighters. Cotton candy, bbq, and a fiddle player!! Kids were riding bikes and power wheels around the camps. I don't have kids myself but my heart melted seeing all these families making memories together. Hot showers which were surprisingly free! Clean bathrooms. On site mini mart. And although we didn't stay in the cabins, they looked perfect for warm nights playing cards on the porch. We're going back in two months, we loved it so much!Nearby activities: We caught monster salmon and even hooked an 8ft sturgeon but cut him loose.Safety: Kids were able to play freely. Cars drove very slow around the grounds.Walkability: River was a short walk away. Bathrooms were central and showers were at the entrance

Customer service went above and beyond. Owners helped me remove 3 ticks I picked up from backpacking the Rogue River Trail. Restaurant food was wonderful. Highly recommend the brisket with mango relish. Covered back seating area perfect for riverside lunch or dinner.

First time here with my family and it was great. There was a wedding party ahead of us so we thought it would be quite a wait for our food, but it came within 10 minutes and it was SO good.!! The service was excellent, his name was Noah and he went above and beyond to meet our special needs, (my mother is 97 ).The drive is well worth it.

I stopped here with my family on the Gerry s rogue river ride. Fantastic! I m vegetarian so I just got some sun brewed tea and the veggie burger. Was very glad to find a vegetarian option, especially one that was so good. The meat eaters in my group ordered a sampler platter and were quite pleased with it all. To top it off we had an excellent black berry cobbler. You won t leave hungry or disappointed.Patio was sunny and warm, just what I wanted off the boat. There were shaded spots too, and some tables indoors. Service was speedy and I got multiple refills.

A lot of people smile and are polite. But today I experienced the best service and assistance that I received in more than the five past years. Thank you Cougar Lane manager and staff.Nearby activities: Beautiful facilities and outdoor walking, hiking, fishing and calm.

We were here as part of our trip on Jerry's Rogue Jets.The atmosphere is lights out. Beautiful log lodge with beautiful scenery. This part of the Rogue River is part of the Wild and Scenic stretch of the river so the old growth is beautiful. There is a lodge, restaurant and a store that I know of.The menu is limited when you take the boat trip but they still offer a few selections. We had the BBQ plate. Handful of pulled pork, 2 pork ribs, 1 slice of brisket, cup of Coleslaw, cup of beans, a corn muffin and a slice of watermelon. I like to eat and wish there was an option for double protein or a second helping. Every meal comes with a cup for unlimited refilled drinks.We weren't there for the food, we were there for the experience and it truly was a great one.

We stopped by for lunch during our Jerry's Jet boat tour. The meal was included with the boat ride. It was a very good bbq lunch (ribs, brisket, pork). We got a few drinks too. Great place. Clean facility and friendly staff. Thank you.

A beautiful setting for a wonderful experience. The food is excellent no matter what you choose and you cannot beat the atmosphere. We drive an hour up there just to have lunch because we love the food, the service is great, and the view is amazing. I must admit I must try is the blackberry cobbler! Don't miss that one. We've tried everything on the menu sorry but we just can't pick our favorite it's all that good.

It's a very nice property with an indoor and outdoor area. We wanted to eat outdoors but the yellow jackets were very aggressive. My mango BBQ pulled pork was good, though slightly plain and the fries were good with the fry sauce. I loved the blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream and the lemonade was very good too!

What a wonderful place to eat. There isn't anything bad I can say about it. The food is flavorful and plenty. Every experience with the staff has made me feel welcome. I tend to be a picky eater, and they are always more than accommodating. Enjoy a picturesque view while you eat on the deck.

Nice outside seating. There is a good view from pretty much any place you sit. The food is good and they are dog friendly. We've been here a few times since we moved to the area and have never been disappointed. Well expect for fall and winter when the restaurant is closed. It can get a little busy when the jet boats stop but have a cold drink and enjoy the scenery and relaxation. It will be worth the little wait if there is one.

Me and my wife on June 13 2018 went on the 64 miles Jerry jet boat ride out of Gold Beach and we had to pick one of two stops to eat in this trip . I did research on the Two and Picked Cougar Lane Lodge for it's reviews on BBQ items and the Beautiful surroundings it has in Agnes's . We had about a 1hr layover there and about 60 people to serve Quickly . The place is beautiful for it's scenery and the Staff were awesome , very pleasant , kept on going bye asking if we needed anything . The food we ordered came within 10 minutes .Smoked Salmon Taco's for my wife and Dirk's burger (2) 5.3oz burgers on sourdough with all the fixings and hot fries . It was So Yummy with 2 beers and nice weather It was Perfect !! Everyone looked Full and talked about the BBQ items they sell was Terrific , Pulled Pork , Ribs , Brisket and You MUST try the Blackberry cobbler , we shared aslice and it was warm with 2 scoops of ice cream for us . It was Heaven It is too Die for !!!! I cannot wait to go back there and to go on Jerry's jet boat ride again .

Very good food. My son and I each had Milkmaid Cheese Burger. My wife had Smoked Chicken Taco's and my Daughter had Brisket. The food was great. The quality was outstanding. What a peaceful place to eat and enjoy family time.

We came up on the mail boat and stopped here for lunch. I have to be on a fairly restricted diet and hate eating out and trying to find something safe to eat. Our waiter was amazing. He went on his own to ask the cook about some of the ingredients and came back and told me what items would be safe. And when the food came it was delicious. Best burger patty I've ever had and my husband had pulled pork that he loved. Oh ya, and I only had 2 bites, but the berry cobbler was fabulous.

Nice woodsy lodge with a beautiful backdrop and river views. Ate here halfway through the Jerry's Jetboat Tour and it provided the perfect dining experience to drive the experience home. I had the salmon burger which was quite delicious, and our waiter was very kind and helpful with offering recommendations and patience when a member of our group took a long time to decide what to order. We sat on the patio so I didn't get to see inside, but our Jerry's guide spoke highly of recent renovations to the lodge. I highly recommend this restaurant to adventurers eager to take a break to consume some high quality barbeque fare.

This restaurant was excellent. We stopped here for lunch while riding on Jerry's Rouge Jet Boat tour. The place is very clean with a huge deck over looking the river, for outdoor dining. We were waited on immediately by friendly staff and our order was put in right away. Our drinks and food were delivered quickly and everyone in our party of 8 commented how good the food was. I had the Salmon Tacos which were fresh and excellent. We returned to the boat on time to continue on down river. I would return here again just for the food and view of the river.

We took a tour up the Rouge river and they let us choose a place to eat and we decided to eat here! SO GLAD WE DID!! It was SO GOOD! I am a vegetarian and it is hard to find something good to eat! The veggie burger was delightful and so was the service! If you are in this area this is for sure a place to stop! :)

Delicious food, and great service. We ordered the $31 sampler platter to split between my husband, me, and my daughter, and still had enough brisket left for a to-go box! The corn was exceptionally fresh, juicy, and larger than expected.

We came over from the boat excursion and it was packed! Unfortunately the boat excursion did not communicate with the people and took us to the wrong restaurant and never communicated with the restaurant so we were rushed getting our food to get to the boat and the poor restaurant were understaffed for all of us, but they communicated with us the whole time and were amazing getting us out on time even with desert! The food was delicious. I ordered the ribs , and we got two burgers. The food was great and the hippie drinks were perfect! Got a fun hike down to the boat.

Very good fare for the price and remote location. You're going to definitely pay regular Texas BBQ prices so it shouldn't feel outlandish when you look at the menu. You can opt for the Pull Pork platter which is great and plentiful for the price and the beer flows cheaply if you're not hungry.

Let's talk BBQ - this is it. This is THE spot in Oregon for BBQ. Get their BBQ tray with a side of "spicy" sauce (not spicy, just extra flavorful), and enjoy all the little sides that come along on the tray. (HOW was the cole slaw so good??) If after a perfect meal (seriously, open a location in PDX pls) you want a lil sweet treat, split their pie with two scoops of ice cream with a special someone and taste that brown sugar and berry pie goodness. I'm dead.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to the deck where the restaurant is.

We came here on Jerrys Rogue Jets with a group of 16 and LOVED everything we got! The service was excellent, the margaritas are amazing, the brisket tacos would be worth it if you had to walk here from Portland. We will be back, soon and often!

Very good BBQ. We ordered the sampler platter that came with ribs, chicken, pulled pork and brisket. Enough for 3 to share and have a bit of room for their amazing Marianberry cobbler a-la-mode.

Terrible BBQ, and the sides were even worse.Baked Beans were absolutely the worst! The coleslaw was very dry with no flavor. Corn on the cob was 1/2 of a small to medium ear of frozen, mushy, tasteless corn that would NOT melt ambient temp butter.4 of us, 2 folks ordered soft drinks, other 2, just water.When we finally got our food, server said "enjoy your meal"as she started to walk off. I asked her to bring our drinks. She brought 4 waters,sat them down, quickly walked off. Yep, they showed up on the check,we pointed out she hadn't brought any sodas out.She said she would take those off the check, took my card, returned with the billing. 2 sodas were still on the bill. I deducted the $6, ($3 each!) wrote "server NEVER brought these!) re totaled the bill.The reason we were eating there was because it was the dinner stop for Jerry's Jet Boats trip up the Rogue River. I truly believe, if it were not for these boatloads of folks having no option but to eat here, they would not stay in business.

Food is always good, we've had lunch, dinner, and most times breakfast. The staff is friendly, and while they definitely have their local flare the staff is always so nice. They accommodate in most situations as their menu allows. The view is great and the place is super clean. If the weather allows eat out on the deck, it is a fantastic view. The food for the most part is pretty basic, but it is really good. The price is as expected for the location, it definitely costs more to get supplies there than say near the freeway so I think it is very reasonable. The campground next door is really nice to stay at in a pinch, we travel last minute a lot and they have showers and bathrooms that are well maintained. We really like this place and when we have friends travel in the area we recommend this place to them whether it is overnight or just for supplies at the store or dinner at the restaurant.Jessica Funderburk via my husbands gmail account. :)

The new voucher from the jet boat company is a joke. They give you 4 small child size options that aren't particularly good and then when you ask about a credit towards something edible they are rude and belligerent toward you. This stop ruined the entire trip. Never going back, tell all your friends the new deal is a joke.

My wife and I stopped by there via jet boat. It was a nice place and the food was terrific. I got a burger which I really enjoyed, and my wife got the veggie burger with no complaints. Our waitress was very kind also.

If you go get the pulled pork. The food was lovely, the atmosphere quiet with the river in the background, and the servers where all so sweet. I am looking forward to my next trip
