Took my LS lQ9 6.0 short block to get all the bearings replaced, get the block hot tank and hone the cylinders . quote me for $850 to do that. and told me it would be done by Tuesday next week. the guy was very helpful, so I decided to give them a shot. hopefully they can deliver. there's some bad reviews but I'm hoping for a good turn out. I'll keep posting later after I get my block back and done.Service: Engine repair

Helped us Tremendously when rebuilding our 91 Sonoma. We called so many times and Trevin was so helpful and did quality work on our engine. All the naysayers- cars are machines, and machines BREAK! That is just part of the deal. We will always use this shop!

Live around the corner and had no idea what my check engine flash meant. Called them at 8:15 and described what was happening- he knew exactly what was wrong and even though he knew it wasn t a rebuild, he told me to pop in. He had me fixed and I was home before 9.I can t speak to their rebuild skills but they get 5 stars for exceptional knowledge and honesty - and knowing when taking a few minutes to help can make a big impact in someone s life.

I bought a used 2003 (20 years old) Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab pickup with an known bad 4.7 engine that has 155,000 miles on it, over heats instantly and has a knocking noise way down low. These 4.7 s have a known issues with valve seats becoming loose from the aluminum heads when/if they get the slightest bit overheated, so I know it s going to needs the top end redone. Timing chains are also a known issue on this engine, cooling systems are known issues, so repairing only what s wrong now will only have all of these other issues come up later with no warrantee or I have them rebuild the engine and get a 1 year warrantee ? It s only $600 or $700 more to rebuild the engine and because this is an engine that gets rebuilt very commonly they just happen to have everything they need in stock and on the shelf, they are the actual machine shop and they do the machining in house.They installed better valve seats in an effort to alleviate the valve seats issues that these engines are infamous for to help solve that issue going forward, they replaced my Water Pump with a better Water Pump to help with the infamous Cooling System issues and improve water flow through the engine.I bought the truck on Wednesday, I had it towed in to them on Friday, they had my engine out and on the bench being torn down on Monday, turns out the previous owner had Spun more than one of the Bearings on the Crank Shaft (probably not changing the oil or let the oil get low or something) and it s Thursday today and they are reassembling my engine and will have it back in the truck Friday making adjustments before giving it back to me.Yes it s costing $6,000.00 but I have a 1 year warrantee ON the Engine , not the transmission not the wiring catching fire. I see others writing negative reviews regarding their car catching fire or their transmission going out. These guys are Engine rebuilders not a Transmission shop. If your transmission is already weak and you put a newly rebuilt engine, well that stronger new engine is now going to put more stress on that already weak transmission. Common Sense ! I am reviewing this Engine Rebuilding shop based on their ability to rebuild my engine for a price, for the quality of the rebuild, for the speed in which I get my vehicle back. Value, Quality, Efficiency are the factors that I am rating them on.Service: Engine repair

Had my Engine rebuilt in a 2013 Dodge Charger. Not even 2 weeks later blue smoke was coming from exhaust. I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone they do horrible work! Not to mention I took my car back and the guy told me to keep driving it and that it would eventually stop smoking here it is a year later it s still smoking when I start it up. Stay away from this place I paid them over 5 grand for a engine rebuild.Service: Engine repair

Decided to rework my tractor and was told that they could machine the crank shaft cheaper than the cost to buy new. So I tore engine down to only block with just crank and parts. I asked how they check to make sure the bearings were sized properly so they wanted to assemble the pistons and crank and turn it to see if it binds. When I received it I was originally charged a full rebuild, when I questioned it it was reduced to $820 which is the cost of $300 over cost of buying new parts. I was left to wire the bolts and install the front timing cover and oil pan. Needless to say yesterday I reallized they lost a lifter when they dipped the block. Now I need to uninstall the engine put a lifter in and reinstall everything. Next time I ll only bring the crank in for them to do or just buy new parts but fingers are crossed if that was done correctly.Service: Engine repair

They call themselves as engine rebuilder, but actually they are engine destroyer. I left my truck at their shop to see what is wrong with the truck. I would call them almost every day to follow up with the any progress and kept seeking excuses of why they have not looked at that truck and diagnose the issue. Finally and after almost 3 weeks I called them again the Thursday after Christmas only for them to tell me that the problem was not with the engine, but with the transmission. They could have called me and left me a message and told me what the problem was and that did not have to take 3 weeks to do. What kills me the most is they have a picture of a great man and senator who happened to be Senator Lankford in their shop. The picture of that great senator should not be in that sloppy shop because it s simply a denigration to the senator and to everyone who has a speck of value. Please don t waste your time and money to take your vehicle to Southwest engine rebuilder because I said before they are destroyer.

They rebuilt the engine in my jeep, not 2 weeks later it caught on fire driving down Riverside. They took no responsbility for this as a single Mom I feel they took advantage.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

dont waste your time. had a cylinder wall that was screwed up, no call or heads up. called and said it was ready. went back to see what Trevin was willing to do, which was nothing because I didnt ask for it to be bored out. so they honed it and called it good. then when asked why I wasnt called. I was yelled at. So go somewhere else that knows how to treat customers...
