This is a great, quiet spot during the week. It s right off the highway but there s minimal traffic overnight so it didn t bother us. The guys running it are nice people. The bathrooms were clean, the fire pits are awesome. There s great wildlife to see here too, cardinals and blue jays, deer in the surrounding woods, and there s a fox who makes his rounds as soon as it gets dark out. We got to see him every night. There s horseshoes to play, and there are kayaks and rafts available to float. There s a gas station and a dollar general within 4 miles in case you forgot anything. There s a nice Tribal Police Officer that drives through every night, as well as a nice lady in an ice cream truck that drives through during the day. It s a very neat little campground and I would recommend it for sure.

My family had the ABSOLUTE BEST TIME EVER! This was actually the first time in 19 years my husband and I have ever camped together ! My actual family had not camped since I was a kid. We went Memorial Weekend and this place was completely full. Wonderful place to go with your family and friends. The cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen at a public camping park WITH HOT WATER!!! Everything was perfect!

Just got back from our float & camp trip at Echota Village, we had a great time! The rafts were new and the staff went above and beyond to provide great customer service. We enjoyed this primative camping in comparison to the other river options because it was more of an outdoor experience rather than a place to pass out after drinking all day.Campgrounds were very clean and well maintained, there were working toilets and sinks, but the showers were still under construction. The office has clean bathrooms as well.We opted for the 8 mile trip and it was the perfect length. They have a smaller bus than other places, but were prompt on pickup at the bridge and waved us in.Overall great trip, would recommend over the other places we've stayed on the river.

This people is so friendly and make you feel like family. Ben is wonderful person and cares about people, Something we have lost with all outfitters now in the Illinois river, they don t care no more and people with their own kayak are not welcome. If you ever plan to visit the Illinois river, this is the place to go and have an amazing experience. The camping grounds are great and nice space between them, restrooms are clean and nice hot showers. Thank you Ben for open your doors to Steve s Adventures and friends.

Amazing place! The staff was super friendly, the grounds are well kept, and it was one of the most beautiful sections of the river to float! Riley was our driver to drop us off to float and picked us up when we were done, and he was so fun and nice! They don t bog you down with rules and regulations, and just support you having a fun safe time on the river. We will definitely be staying here again!

A wonderful simi-dry RV experience. Friendly, close access to the river and located in a little valley, shielded by trees. We will be going back again. On a personal note, this property is Native owned by members of the Cherokee Nation. Being Cherokee, I believe in giving back to support my heritage.

Went floating here and we had a great time. Takes a little while getting the check in for the rafts, but we had a great experience. Be sure they tell you where their pickup is because i had to ask, so if it's your first time, you might not know what to expect. They're really helpful with loading all your gear and getting you set up for the float trip. The workers are super friendly, so that's a plus.

We were in site #6, felt like a sardine crammed in a can, we could not even let our awning all the way out without hitting the top of the camper in site #5, the sewer was too far back for us to hook up and it was to high for drainage too, so we had to dump, we had no picnic table and there was no grill, had to go down the way to use someone elses. We barely had room to set lawn chairs, we have camped here before all the new renovations and we were not cramped, you have no privacy being so close together, the plus side was the person in the office was very friendly and the 2 guys that drove us to the float site. We will definitely pick different sites to set up in on our next visit and hopefully someone listens and fixes the sewer hookups!Happy Camping Ya'll

I stayed here because they are the only place on the river that shuttles personal paddle boards and kayaks. I m going to come back every year because every employee was helpful. It was clean and quiet. The RV spots had great shade. I can t wait to see you guys soon!

Nice quiet shady area. Clean bath house within walking distance from all sites. Only 9 minutes from campus in Tahlequah, 1.5hr to Tulsa. Paid online and showed up.

This RV camping spot just off the Illinois River has great clean bathrooms, a small store for ice & drinks, raft-canoe-kayak rentals, basketball goal, pet friendly too! The campsites are very narrow unfortunately & the lots on the East side have no fire rings.Overall we would probably try to find another place with more room to spread out some.

These guys are awesome! Had a wonderful lazy time on the river. We had 4 separate groups and it was herding cats getting everyone there, but they waited and were very flexible. The showers and bathrooms were clean. We will be returning very soon! TY!

We had a great float trip through Echota Village. Our group had two young girls who were first time floaters, and Brian did an awesome job helping us select a trip that would be appropriate for their age. The river is absolutely beautiful. Brian and his guide provided top notch service, great safety tips, and superior river knowledge. These folks are not like the big guys, book a float with them and you won't be disappointed!

My husband and I had such a fantastic time on our float with Echota! The rafts are brand new, and they don't hold water! We met up with family who had used another company and they were all jealous of our raft being dry. :) We also paid 10 dollars less than they did AND got to float 2 miles further! They all want to come back with us! So grateful for Brian and Chynna for giving us an affordable way to float the Illinois!

Can t even begin to express the wonderful experience we had this weekend at Echota. It was quiet, low key, and very peaceful. Matt, the manager, and ALL of the staff were just about the most friendly and helpful people we ve ever met. They bent over backwards getting us to and from the river with our kayaks, which no other place would have done. We will never stay any other place and can t wait to go back soon. Thank you Echota for a fun weekend getaway!! We appreciate you all.

Spent the weekend of the 4th at the park. The staff was wonderful and were very helpful with every concern we had. We got to experience the 13 mile float, which is a true 13 mile float, and the three mile float. It was even our first time floating and with the clear instructions and guidance from the team we were not only confident but had a blast. The park was clean and had all the things you may have forgotten available at their shop.New management recently built a bathhouse that is accessible to both able bodied and handicap persons. The bathrooms were cleaned regularly but still need some logistics worked in th keep it clean.Overall, we will be back!

My husband has been staying at Echota Village since the first part of March 2021 because it's closer to his jobsite. Brian and the rest of the staff at Echota has been amazing!! They are very friendly, helpful, and always have a great attitude. Our family stayed at the campgrounds on Memorial weekend to enjoy a little family time. There was a mix-up in reservations and the computer rented out our spot. We are not the type to get mad, things happen. However, Brian & the staff at Echota went above & beyond to make it right. We definitely recommend Echota to everyone! We will absolutely stay here again if we are planning another trip to stay in Tahlequah in the future.

In the words of my 12 year old " Falcon Floats gots nothin on them" we happened upon this float when Falcon wouldn't let my 7 float ( they were being cautious as there was a lot of rain in that area previously and the river was a little high @ 6 1/2) so we went across the road and spoke with Matthew Echota about floating. He spoke with us about the speed of the river the level of the river and safety precautions. . And when we did get in the river, and had a mishap with our raft (no one was hurt or anything) and a friend and I had difference in opinions, I decided to see if we could back out. I called Matthew Echota, who not only made sure he had our phone numbers and that we had his in case of emergency. He came and got us immediately, pulled our raft out of the water for us, loaded our cooler into the bus. Not only was he could considerate and understanding, he took us back to our vehicles and REFUNDED us the full amount we paid no questions asked. Matthew was super helpful and knowledgeable. Also Caleb and the whole crew at Echota were awesome, very knowledgeable and super cautious. The camping spots were very clean and well kept, beautiful and private entrance to the river. This may have only been their second season but if you were to visit you'd agree they will be around for years and years and I will be going back for years and years! I would give them a hundred star review if I could. If you want a great experience, knowledgeable and safe crew you should check out the float/camping at The Echota on the Illinois River! And I don't know if I should mention this but the guys even prayed before they took us up the river for drop off. These guys are amazing!!!!! AND btw Falcon Floats were great as well. I have no complaints with them, just thought it was cute that my 12 year old liked Echota so much. Even my 7 year old commented that Echota's bus was pretty and nice. hahahahahahaha!!

Had some confusion with checking in and there was no one in the office. After a few tries, I was able to call them. Very friendly, the tent sites were private, nice restrooms with hot showers, and just down the road from the kayak rentals.

Very disappointed! We made a last minute reservation that we had to cancel the next day as we would not be arriving in time to stay there and sent an email to that effect. I tried to call but the telephone number was not correct on their email but even after emailing them, no response, no refund, nothing. Not good business.Update. The campground did contact me a few days later and resolved the issue by making an immediate refund of the full amount. Apparently, because of my last minute reservation, it created a glitch for them that has now been corrected. Very pleased!

We recently stayed at Echota Village RV July 31st-August 2nd, 2020. I made a reservation by calling the phone number provided on Google. Ricky had great customer service over the phone. I even received a call confirming my reservation the day before by William.(I believe that was his name)He also had great customer service as well!We got to Echota around 930 pm on Friday so it was dark when we arrived. It was difficult to see the numbers on each parking stall and confusing as to which picnic table/area was ours. We had some great neighbors who helped us get to our correct spot. Even in the daylight the next morning I had to really look to see and find the number. I was a bit disappointed there was no bbq grill which we planned to use while there. So make sure to bring a grill if you plan on grilling! Bathrooms were decent but needed some privacy doors for toilets and one shower didn't have a shower curtain. (bathroom did not lock) It looked like they might me renovating another bathroom across from the one already there. They did have 2 porta pottys available that were suprisingly very clean! Overall the stay was nice, very shady, and clean! I gave a 4 star due to the confusing of the parking stall numbers and no bbq grill.

Floated the river with ten in our group. The guys were great! They helped us unload/load and were understanding when we ran behind. Skip the other float companies and go here!
