While traveling through Shawnee Friday, July 8th my van started having electrical problems. I initially went to a tire and electrical shop only to discover they couldn't get to my vehicle until Monday at the earliest. We were leaving on a family vacation Sunday so I really needed to find another option, but my battery was dead and I needed a new alternator. I immediately started calling other shops to find anyone who could repair my car before everything closed. I tried multiple shops, but none were willing or able to help until I spoke with a nice lady at David's Automotive. Even though it was already after 2 pm she told me if I could get to them very soon they would try their best. So I purchased a battery at the first shop so I could drive my van the short distance to David's. I arrived around 3 and the alternator was already there. A man there told me they had two mechanics on standby and would do everything they could. An hour and a half later they had my van repaired and I was on my way back home. I have nothing but very good things to say about my experience with David's Automotive. I owe them my sincere thanks for being willing to help me in a tight situation.Service: Electrical repair

David's Automotive is the bomb, baby. You talk about someone who cares about you and your vehicle he does. Just like if it was him and his vehicle. His Mechanics take on the same Philosophy. Besides that Chris is a very pretty lady with a wonderful personality who feels the same. She will get you checked in and make sure you are being looked after on your vehicle needs. Please try or you're missing out. Tks to all Les, you are Greatly appreciated.

I have had multiple problems with my vehicle. David s automotive told me exactly what was wrong, exactly how much it was going to cost, was decently priced and very friendly. David sLet me begin by saying, when we first went to David s, the staff was helpful & courteous. They had our E350 van to have the thermostat and some vacuum tubes looked at. They had the truck for a couple of weeks which was fine. We were in no rush to get it.When the van was finally finished we went and picked it up. I drove it home and my husband followed. About halfway through the drive I noticed that the temperature gauge inside the truck, which was a repair they said they made, hadn t moved. The gauge did not move the entire drive home to Tecumseh. When we got home my husband called David s to let them know that the temperature gauge/thermostat was still not working. They took his name and number and said that someone would get back to us.After a week we hadn t heard anything back so my husband called again. We were told by a very rude woman, that the gauge was working when we took the van, that they were 3 weeks out for work and to find another place to take our van to. The woman on the phone then Proceeded to rudely hang up on my husband.Avoid this place at all costs. How in earth can a business run this way. They were paid to do a job that they didn t do correctly, were incredibly rude and now refuse to fix the problem. The staff looks like they are on drugs and the office smells like a smoke lounge. They have a car pooping all over the office as well. It s disgusting. I wouldn t trust them to fix a tricycle!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Dropped off my car to be diagnosed and didn't hear back even after multiple calls and being told they'd have a mechanic call me back. Then 3weeks later I go to pick up my vehicle because they never diagnosed it and find that they broke my bumper cover. If I could give them no stars I would. Absolutely horrible place to take your vehicle. They did not fix the problem. They are rude. They told me there was nothing else they could do to help me. Just absolutely awful. They took my money and didn t fix the problem with my car. Now I have to find another place to bring my car and spend more money doing so. Avoid this place like the plague. Dave fixed my front brakes, rotaters, front end control arms, replaced bushings, and will install new hood latch cable. He took the time to show and educate me on what all that meant lol .We have done 3 different fix-it days within 3 different weeks so I could have my vehicle at end of day.His prices and quotes are more than fair, plus I feel I have saved a lot of money In the long run, and everything is fixed right the first time.Dave has a great crew working for him as well.Thanks to all!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

Dave a good guy I bring all my vehicles to Dave's automotive I never have any problems with there work he works on all my sons vehicles as well does good work best place to take your car or truck actually I'm taking my car in there to get work on next week the staff is awesome.

David and all the mechanics that work there are very professional and very knowledgeable on any jobs they do. They recently put an engine on my daughter SUV and they did a job . My wife is in a wheel chair and they accommodated without a problem. It's her only means of transport and they got the job done in one day as promised. Would highly recommend!

I'm born and raised in Shawnee Oklahoma and this is the most disorganized, trashy, unprofessional, place I have ever been in Shawnee Oklahoma. My vehicle sit for a week after the estimate then during service they said I needed a new motor... All other mechanical shops didn't try to use me like this one.. Don't waste your time in this place it's a disaster....

Thank you David, soo much for all the help, dude idk wht I' would've done, an the staff is awesome, dude i was stuck on the side of the road, and i call him and said Dddavid i need you!!!!, [hey not in that way yall] get your head out the skyline lol...His response was come'on I got you mo, and the rest was all in the making of give it to the higher power, not in my control, gggood said i got u, and he did, have me, i had to learn how 2let go, back on the road mo. Thanks guy's iam forever great full. x10Yes i would recommend them to anyone .

I occassionally visit relatives here in Shawnee. I believe from my own experiences that David's Automotive is trustworthy and provides professional quality service for all of your automobile service needs. I'm glad they're in business here in Shawnee Oklahoma.

According to my disabled sister-n-law, she took her vehicle to his shop about 3 weeks ago to have various items fixed on her car including asking for her heater to be fixed. They fixed items but not her heater. They say she never asked for the heater to be fixed even tho she did ask and now cold weather is here and she has no heater. The receptionist got verbally abusive with her and the owner have her $1000.00 of her money back and told her to just take it somewhere else and get it fixed.

Poor service, disrespectful towards customers and didn't even do their job as what was to be done. Vehicle was left with them for a week and battery was dead when picked up the vehicle since was disrespected and no work was done. The place is not organized at all

Polite service. Knowledgeable mechanic. Willing to discuss options openly. The work was done in a timely fashion at a reasonable price. New a/c compressor installed properly and works well.

I have 4 vehicles all with well over 150000 miles, one with over 300000. David's is always helpful. I always feel like ive gotten an honest deal from them.

Really busy place. Not good for drop offs. I wish my car would set a appoint when it was going to break. Then this would be a good place to go.
