Oooo, since they want me to update so badly on why this place SUCKS here is an eloquent review. TL;DR incompetent, rude mechanic department & lemon 2013 Ford Focus model at 110,000 mileage. This story finds itself 3 weeks ago when my partner's 2013 Ford Focus transmission was acting up. It had happened before last year in 2022, but because the TCM (Transmission Computer Module) has a recall on it and these parts are so backlogged out still with over 30,000 being made, they could not quote a time on this part's replacement. Last year OR this year!We brought this in, and they tried heckling us down for $800 immediately for this TCM part. Told us that it was this or an $7,600 transmission replacement. TCM Recall they told us was no longer "honored" since it was over ten years old. (WHICH WAS A BIG FAT LIE!!) They could not quote on when and if we could get the TCM part in, but they sure could get in a brand new transmission immediately with no problems! We immediately had it towed to a different transmission company in town after we realized it could take MONTHS before they could replace this part, as they were quoting us 1 month to a YEAR. Unfortunately, the next place we took it to misquoted us and had the wrong part and did not charge us a diagnostic fee AT ALL. Can't say the same for Ford, though. They sure needed that $180 diagnostic fee for a multi-billion dollar corporation, though! Especially when we already knew what the issue was! We sure do appreciate that kindness After not knowing what to do, we got a letter that stated from Ford that they IN FACT DID extend the warranty out for the TCM part he needed! We jumped for joy, we immediately called them up and told them about the official letter we had received, AND THEY DID NOT BELIEVE US INITIALLY! They had to look into it and told us, "OH! Looks like the recently redid that!" (AGAIN ANOTHER LIE! I called the main Ford company hotline, and they told us it had been updated for MONTHS before we took it in!)After we towed the vehicle BACK there for a THIRD time, they replaced the part for free. Finally! Which is what they should have done initially! Then come to find out, the transmission is still trashed and needs replacing! I'm so glad that letter came in. They almost made us purchase an $800 part by completely misdiagnosing the vehicles problem entirely! I have NEVER heard of a vehicle transmission crapping out at 110k miles! That is ABSURD! "FORD BUILT TOUGH", bruh, can't even take it to the damn grocery store! Then, to make matters WORSE they RUDELY called up my partner to ask him to tow it for A FOURTH TIME because it was in the way of their lot only having left it for barely a week and a half after we got horrible news of his vehicles transmission breaking down for basically an 8 grand FIX on clearly a lemon vehicle!I've been a customer of Ford, and my family has FOR YEARS. Owned a 1998 Ford F150, 2007 Ford Focus and 2010 Mercury Milan and all lasted two to three times as long! How they treated my veteran partner is completely UNACCEPTABLE for an American made company. My first three vehicles from Ford all lasted WELL over 200,000 miles! I expected them to make this situation correct! Especially considering we see online that Focus & Fiesta models were NOTORIOUS for transmission and clutch problems, which is why they no longer make compact cars AT ALL. Which to that I say, good riddance! If this company can't put out good LASTING product, then at the VERY least should be 100% owning and accommodating to their own damn mistakes! Money grubby indeed!Word of mouth is powerful, and I intend on telling EVERYONE this story I run into or thinking about purchasing another vehicle. My family and his family will be investing in foreign vehicles or other American made trucks from now on!We see how yall do business! Thanks for nothing!
