Had a N55 G700 built by this company. Engine supposedly ran on the dyno for 2hrs. Engine wouldn t start, engine has low compression on all cylinders. Sent us a different crank bolt set up in the motor. Contacted company multiple times by email and phone, no response. Will be making a YouTube video on my opinion and compression test.

NEVER purchase anything from this company. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!! I have purchased two engines and have had nothing but issues. I had two vehicles that I had to buy other engines for, as they could not leave the shop. The first N20 had issues that I had to buy more parts for as they say it was not their fault. I installed the engine in the vehicle and filled it with oil. The crank seal was so bad, it ran out with the vehicle not running!!! They say they are all factory parts so it will be under warranty, but then send you an aftermarket part to install?!?!? It took so long for Ghassan to send me the engine, I ended up buying this car from the customer. The N55 I had to send back at my expense and then they charged me up the backside to have it repaired. The vehicle never left my shop!!! Check the BBB history on them as well. I wish I would have. I have spent over $15,000 with them on two engines and shipping and then ended up buying used engines that were better. Pieces are bent, paint is everywhere, the quality is horrible. When you search them, look at how clean the shop is where they are building these engines. They say they are under new owner ship, but the same guy runs it. Yes, the one who will not speak with you! Seems to be "out of the office" when you want to speak with him. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This company has cost my shop $22,000 dollars due to their poor ability to rebuild BMW engines. I installed two engines in two separate customers' vehicles and both ended up with rod knock within 15k miles of engine replacement. We followed Ghassan's break in procedure to a "T" on both engines and performed proper 4k mile oil changes. When I installed these engines, I did not expect to have immediate issues with both of them. Needless to say, I refunded an entire engine job on one car and bought the other car from my customer. I learned the hard way to not deal with unprofessional and uneducated engine rebuilders so you don't have to. Based upon the other reviews, I don't see why anyone would consider using this company either.

If you want a seamless transaction, don t use Ghassen. Wouldn t take my engine back as a core after they initially promised $650 for the core then drug their feet and now won t even buy the core. Don t waste your time with these liars.

N55 G800 BUILD PLEASE READ BELOWGhassan Automotive stated that the Engine was install ready. Upon inspecting the engine built by Ghassan Automotive, we initially found that the timing was off on the exhaust camshaft. Upon further inspection we found the following to be wrong with the engine.- Engine timing incorrectly- Engine oil pump missing bolts- Crank walk "Crankshaft had play"- Piston Slap "Slapping against cylinder wall"- Engine missing dowel pins "meant for centering cylinder head correctly"- Engine block & cylinder head not resurfaced- Incorrect Pistons " P/N338094" Meant for N54 engine- Bed Plate bolts found loose "Holds Crankshaft in place"- Engine internals "Pistons & Rods" incorrectly balanced. Off by a 2 grams on eachHello,To anyone reading this review do not buy an engine from this company. I'm still waiting on a response email back from them. As you could all read the list of problems my $12,500 engine has these people are careless unprofessional and scammers.

So we set up a core purchase with this company. They had us prepare the core strap it to a pallet and basically wait 4 days for them to tell us that they ran into financial trouble and weren t able to buy the core. I highly suggest reading the reviews about this company and search Facebook for firsthand reviews of how horrible their engine Rebuilds are and how terrible their customer Service is.

Fraudulent builder, nightmare experience with them, never ending battle fixing their issues. Use at your own risk! Guy likes to cover up by saying "we have no records of doing business with this person"Only way this scammer gets 5 star reviews is by making people go post reviews in order to enter for a free engine giveaway which supposedly there has never even been records of a winner. Again, use at your own risk! From being on the forums the best shop seems to be RK autowerks for rebuilds and new cores.

Update2: another leak (2nd photo), this time the valve seal ($2900 job) at 1000 mile checkup. When I inquired about this I was told I have spoken with Ghassan and based on our understanding the $2000 was the settlement to make all appropriate repairs. This was not a settlement but them paying due to their poor quality work.Save your money/energy and choose a proper company that performs quality work.Update1: they made an exception and covered 80% ($2000) of the crank case reseal ($2500 job), which required pulling the engine.I would give zero stars if I could.Do not be enticed by the two-year warranty, as there's a chance you could get an answer that's not build correctly and you'd have to pay the transportation in both directions for even a minor repair.I had my motor rebuilt to stock spec. My shop was proceeding with the installation and there's a crankcase leak, although minor it could obviously get worse over time. In order to have this repaired under warranty I'm required to have the motor pulled and shipped back to Ghassan and ultimately back to me, which I would have to cover the costs for.

Ghassan Automotive provides the Best Choice for a Rebuilt BMW Engine! Don t let any Dealership/Extended Warranty company try to tell you that his Rebuilt Engines will not provide a 2 Year, Unlimited Mile Warranty - because Ghassan s Rebuilds Will! If the dealership or your Extended Warranty company is giving you a hassle, have Ghassan get a hold of them for you and he will explain to them how all the BMW OEM parts he uses qualifies the engine for the 2 Year, Unlimited Mile Warranty! And if you want to Elevate your build that you ll have him do for you, don t forget to ask him about what kind of upgrades you can include! Thank You Ghassan.

Last year, the motor in my 335xi breathed its last, and I was forced to find an alternative. After months of searching, I finally settled on Ghassan's N54 g800.Ghassan sent it out to my shop in CT and it was installed. Following the break-in period, I finally had the chance to see what it could do. I was blown away. My car has never run this well, ever. Even though I get my work done at a BMW-specific shop, they are still amazed by the build we've created.Ghassan is using this motor to set records left and right, and I feel honored to have this same motor breathing new life into my car. I've had nothing but a positive experience with their customer service, and he personally replies to messages with any questions I have in the evolution of this build.Thank you, and I'll be hitting you guys up soon for the TH400 :)

The good:Customer service is excellent. Special thanks to Dalton for always keeping in touch and dropping what he s doing to help me. These guys (and girls) are really busy and they clearly care about what they do. Ghassan and the team went out of their way to help me get a working engine back in my car before a deadline, cutting weeks off their typical lead time to get me taken care of.Also, the engine isn t half bad. Used to have some serious quality control issues, but now that they have better machinery and a run stand, your engine will likely be in great working order. Ghassan used to just have the best prices, but now they have the best prices and high quality engines almost always.The bad:It s the almost always part that s the issue. The warranty system is clever for business, but it does not prioritize righting the wrong for the customer. If your engine blows up, you could be out several thousand in all the fees they charge just to get a new one put in, not to mention the time you ll lose. I think raising the prices and having a satisfaction guarantee for customers by taking care of them no matter what would remedy the one major Achilles heel of Ghassan Automotive.Ghassan himself is a nice guy who will happily give discounts when he deems them necessary, but the legal wording of the warranty is harsh and makes the consumer uneasy about such a large purchase.TLDR: Buy an engine from them and you will get excellent value, but be aware of what you re signing away in customer protection.Would buy again.

DO NOT BUY ANY MOTOR FROM THESE CON ARTISTS ! I bought a n55 e90 motor WARRANTIED ! Not even 5,000 miles on motor and motor spun rod bearings ! Ghassan wants me to pay mechanic to uninstall motor , then pay to frieght ship motor to them SO THEY CAN EVALUATE THE SITUATION THEN I PAY TO GET SHIPPED BACK AND I REOAY TO REINSTALL THERE JUNK MOTOR ! CROOKS ! DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY

I didn't know what to think . First time getting a built engine from this guy and I have no complaints. Had hiccups but everything was fixed . No major engine problems. 20k plus miles after dig racing and roll racing almost every week didn't miss a beat !!! S55 motor by the way

I was contemplating purchasing an engine from here but after reading the "warranty" that's offered and reading Yelp reviews. I decided to not move forward with them. Warranty only covers $3400 with a $1000 deductible so really only $2400 but the warranty has more exclusions than you can think of. You might as well sell it as is. Seems like they're really good at taking clients money and not living up to expectations. I'd stay away

I purchased a Ghassan built N55 engine for my F32 in January 2021. Ghassan and his team were quick to respond and answer my questions from the get go. Before purchasing we talked on the phone and he answered all my questions and gave his opinions on how we should build the motor. He is knowledgeable and easy to talk to. After answering my questions I went ahead and put a deposit down in the engine, he had the engine finished and ready for me to pickup even sooner than originally estimated. Some time went by as my mechanic and I were gathering parts for upgrades and putting everything together. Upon first start I was having some troubles with the car, completely unrelated to the engine provided from Ghassan, however he was still quick to respond and give his opinions and advice on what could be the issue. His very first thought was what ended up being the the issue. Again, this guy is knowledgeable!! My mechanic and I were able to get it knocked out and the car has performed flawlessly since then. Overall great experience dealing with Ghassan Automotive. I would recommend him to friends and family.

I have a 2011 bmw 135i that I hurt the motor. I reached out to ghassan for some information about a replacement motor. The staff was awesome to deal with from the beginning all the way to having it installed in the car. They answered any questions or concerns I may of had I wouldn t hesitate to buy a motor from them again and would highly recommend them to anybody looking for a replacement motor or a built motor. Thank you guys for making what was a bad situation into a pleasurable experience.

So far so good. Customer service has been great over the phone and in person. I have dropped off my 2011 BMW 335ix N55, traveling from MN, and they could not have been nicer. Got a tour of the place and put half down for the job. So excited to get it back, and if everything goes as expected, I plan on moving this up to a five star review.

I bought a N54 motor from Ghassan late last year, and it was nothing but issues from shipping to the actual motor being delivered on a broken pallet, then proceeded to have issues with it while it was in the car ended up just selling the car as a whole. Stay far away from this company

This guy is a complete scam, verified that he took parts off my motor when I sent my car to him. Please believe all the bad reviews, because they are true. This phony has an excuse every time someone writes a bad review, either he can t verify you bought a motor from him or it s all your fault.

It was wonderful working with jay. I bought a n54 g800. Upon installation it had no compression. So I got in contact with jay sent some pictures and was given the ok to retime it and still have the warranty. All I can say is wow the sound my bmw makes stands out thank y all so much at Ghassan for this motor even through these tough times still managed to build me a monster motor. Definitely will be a repeat customer on my next build.

I purchased an n54 oem motor from ghassan a few months ago in which i paid in full, the motor was shipped in a timely fashion. However upon paying a reputable shop for the installation the motot seized after running for a few moments, the motor was obviously louder than a normal healthy engine before it seized after 2 to 3 minute or so. Ghassan was made aware of the issue anf advised we need to send the motor back. And then chatged me another 1k deductible and shipping, which makes no sense. They wanted to charge me to shop the faty motor back to them and to ship the new motor out. The kicker is in the new motor after paying a second installation fee we reized that the rear main seal was leaking. In which i had to get fixed and ghassan refused to reimburse me for allnthst labor even though the rear main seal should fall inder warranty. This was one of the worst experiences iv ever had in my life.

Believe all the bad reviews.At the beginning it took weeks to get the engine shipped to us.They only wanted a wire transfer or certified check to purchase an engine.That should've been our first clue.We have been trying to get our BMW engine core picked up for almost a year.Nobody will answer our phone calls.We've been told numerous times they were sending a truck to pick it up.We are now out the core charge which was $1500 plus $350 shipping.Do not deal with these people.I can't image what would happen if we actually tried to get the warranty honored.Ghassan, if you don't want the core that is fine, give me my $1850 back.

We had a customer with a 2015 X5 in 2019. The engine failed on a test drive. Research shows the issues with this engine. We found Ghassan's and were pleased to see someone specializing in the USA that rebuilds these engines. What a fantastic experience! Complete communication, great service and the engine is running like a top! Our customer is completely pleased and has only needed oil changes since. Thank you guys for existing! You save a lot of time & money. Happy 2021!

A m6 motor with 70,000 miles cost over $10,000. Let that sink in. Anyone leaves a bad comment they act like they have no records. If anyone wants a certified check that s the first sign of a scam artist. Just remember bmw with high miles cost more than what they charge for a rebuild.

I ve had the opportunity to work along side this company for over two years now. In ever way imaginable they have been a great group of people to work with. Ghassan has answered countless questions , arranged shipping s, and has done very professional work. The first time I had the opportunity to work with him when I flew in to pick up my car he came to pick me up from the airport no necessary at all but very nice. They were very thorough with their work and just overall just great people. The motor the built for my N54 made over 800whp+ and has done over 50 passes on the dyno and 100s of pulls on the street racing cars , brake boosting and all other types of abuse. I have been through clutches , axels, and tires but the motor still holds true. Fantastic work very happy and pleased with the work they have done with my car.

Hello everyone, my names Brandon and I just wanted to share that I ended up winning the Ghassan Automotive Engine giveaway for a N54 G1000. I wanted to come on here and give my insights on everything going on. My experience with Ghassan has been extremely pleasant so far. The engine began production on February 1st and was finished on February 25th. Testing was preformed on the engine and was shipped out the beginning of March and I received the engine on March 29th. I was in no rush of getting the engine because I ve been stacking parts up on the side but was surprised when I received pictures of the engine fully assembled!I m here to give a honest review from a regular guy on everything and let you guys know my experience.My experience was awesome! Winning the engine, having it built and shipped to me was literally effortless. I ll also say when they announce their next engine giveaway hop on it! I ve never won anything in my life and usually have the worst luck, but I ended up winning one of the coolest things in my opinion!

Great customer service overall, Autumn at front desk was very responsive through my entire purchase and build. ETA from time of purchase to arrival was 6 weeks. Spoke to Ghassan via facebook and text and he is very upfront and honest guy. Nice guy to work with and proffessional. No miles quite yet on the new engine (BMW M5) but shop says its running great and they are finishing installing rest of the car back before letting it go. Only thing i would mention that upset me briefly was the timing cover bolts were missing , however Ghassan mentioned he would resolve for me. Other than that I would highly reccommend these guys for engine repair/rebuild. My shop was impressed with how great the engine looked, looked brand new! i usually only write reviews if i am upset (like most people) but these guys deserved an honest 5 star review. Hopefully this helps many that are looking to purchase from them. Thank you Autumn, thank you Ghassan!

Definitely loved the experience with team. Very helpful and kind from the very beginning. Communication was excellent! Smooth and easy way to purchase an engine with them. I needed a n20 and it was the perfect decision choosing them!
