I've had alot of work done on my '72 vw bus and larrys always made it right. After a transmission rebuild there was still a problem, he personally went in and rebuilt it again for free! I constantly call for advice and they're happy to give it. I can't believe all these bad reviews on here.

Larry is a total fraud and opportunist. Quote for work supposedly done is higher when u go to pick up your car. Then is when you find out he is putting a lein on it and keeping til you pay in full. The entire establishment is a scam.Period.You were warned.

This place is great! After two years, Larry remembered my bug and what he had switched out on it. (6V to 12V conversion) I asked him about getting a new bumper for the car, and he called back in 12 minutes with three separate options and the prices. Larry is seriously a nice guy who cares about the work he does.

As we all know, 50+yr old bugs break. Between Larry, his wife and staff, they have been more than kind to me in helping me source the parts I need. They even will show me how to do it instead of my having to pay them. My experience has been nothing but positive. Thus rendering my 74 Super Beetle road worthy once again.

Do not take your vehicle to this place. They scammed us out of 900 dollars and did not fix our car. They gave us used parts on our car and did not fix the car. We called with the owner which was on friendly terms with us, but he screwed us over and said well it was good for me. It wasn't good and he lied directly to us. I guess friendship means nothing when it comes with money. Man lost my business and a friend.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Larry and his mechanics are absolutely wonderful. I've been taking my 2000 Beetle there for a couple years now; he's done my timing belt, water pump, transmission service, among other regular maintenance jobs. He always gives me a fair price (compared to the VW mechanic downtown, or the dealership), gets things done in great time, and is an all around nice guy. I would definitely recommend him to anyone with a Volkswagen who wants a mechanic who knows what he's doing!

Shady business practice- for a simple electrical service- some wiring problem, could not give an estimate- the best he had- "8 hrs". Left and took it at different service- finished in under 2 hrs with minimal hassle. Also did not impress with his knowledge on the subject. In the parking- old and very old VW junk- I guess sign of his limited experience with current cars. Just take your car to a more reasonable and straight forward service.

I have a 1971 Super Beetle that needed a new motor. I researched online. I visited another shop, and went to Larry's. A little way out there, but once inside and greeted by Richard I knew immediately I was at the right shop. From the abundance of parts inside to the collection of VWs outside these folks know VWs. Richard and Larry helped me decide the best build for my needs. They didn't over sell or exaggerate the possibilities. Larry built me a great mild performance 1776 dual carb.motor I know I will enjoy for years. Even during the build Larry called several times to discuss options and even made repairs he thought needed at no cost, because of the love he has for these cars. Thanks Larry, Richard, and Sue!

Fortunately for me, I have only had one experience with Larry s and it was a terrible one! This was a couple of years ago but I just saw a commercial on tv and I can t believe he s still doing business!!! It angers me to think he s making money off of people in unfortunate situations like he did me. My daughters car was making a noise so he quoted me roughly $340. I picked the car up and nothing was different. I took it back to him and he basically refunded for the part (which he took off of the car and replaced with old one) but kept $200 for labor (30 minutes of work). This place is so shady and I hope someone reads these reviews before making that decision to go there! I wish I had!

It was an absolutely terrible experience I had my bug taken there and we asked for them to check what was wrong and then we would talk. They found what was wrong and then just fixed it without telling us. They charged us extra for something we didn't even ask or say okay for. Do not bring you car here or give the shady old man who owns the place any business. They follow every shady trick in the book and are not good people.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

CONSUMER BEWARE!!! Larry's VW Import Service, practices all the old school mechanic scams in the book. This company lacks any knowledge in regulations and business ethics or integrity. You will not get a receipt of what you sign at the time of drop off of your vehicle, nor any upfront written pricing when quoted; if you are lucky to even get a quote. You will not see any proper regulatory mandated items posted on their walls or front entry. They lack a computer POS system so you will not have/get a fair quote to the labor rate market here. They will falsify receipts with your signature, that you signed when you came in to authorize the work, through photo copying to make it look as though you agreed to those prices at the time of drop off. They will use used/old parts on your vehicle and keep new parts off your vehicle if they replace anything. They will threaten you with a lien on your vehicle if you do not/refuse pay, even if those services and prices were not agreed to. And, as the Ok law is currently written, you have to pay to get your vehicle. They will request cash payment, as well as claim that they do not have a merchant account (that is a sign right there to beware) if a company does not have a merchant account in this day and age it says something big about the company's credit and monetary stability - you won't know this until it is time to pay, they are good at not disclosing this detail under Larry's personal motto, "you didn't ask, so I didn't tell". Your vehicle will be worse off than when it came in, damage wise, or not fixed correctly at all. And, they will charge you for unauthorized work and added work, or even work not done. Unfortunately, they know to walk a gray line, so you can't prove what they did or didn't do it until it is to late, i.e. after payment.)!!! IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT ABOUT LARRYS: Please, please, join the cause and file with the Attorney Generals Office, as well as the BBB, and practice your right of small claims and public complaint through social media outlets. It is shops that operate in this manner that give good repair shops a bad name. We need to stand together against repair shops that have bad business practices and violate regulatory responsibilities in regards to consumer rights!!! There are two other Import repair shops in the OKC area, please do your rating research when deciding to take your vehicle to one. DO NOT make the same mistake I did and go to Larry's. ***Don't just take my word for it, pay attention to this company's complaint pattern: (1) Invalid pricing/labor rate and work done, with vague or altered receipts. (2) Your vehicle will be in worse condition than when it came in. (3) Deceptive verbiage, and lack to follow proper regulatory practices. (4) Your pocket book will be unnecessarily lighter than it should be when you leave.***

My wife took my daughter's car to this shop and they not only didn't fix it, they charged 200.00 (no parts just labor) Larry Terry is a crook and everyone should avoid this guy at all cost. I don't know how he sleeps at night.

I called him up and ask him about a small pickup truck they had outside and they said it wasn't for sale that it was their own truck.they almost had it parked out there like it was something for sale just to get people to come in.I guess I said all the vehicles that were out there where customer vehicles and then we're for sale.
