First time our company trick was in this shop here they had it for almost about 5 weeks an this time we had to bring it back in for some warranty work an they still had it for almost 3 weeks which is a horrible horrible way to do business. Wr are a very small company a with all the time our only work truck was in their shop it has just about done us in. Anyway this is no way to do business at all. They have had more excuses then ever, so unbelievable. Anyway don t take your work truck here if you need it back quickly as it s not going to happen

Mike and the crew are over-the-top helpful. My Dad broke down in a small motorhome when driving cross-country. Mike and the crew were the finest - even offering to take him to get groceries as he waited for the parts to arrive and checking in on him during the process.

They were very clear on everything that has been wrong with my vehicle, what my options are. They also makes sure to get the okay before starting any repairs. I'll keep taking cars there for repairs in the future.

On June 18th we took my 21 year old college student son's 2012 Toyota Camry to AAMCO because it had a vibration at the speed of 40-50mph. They charged us $186.00 claiming they drained and filled it with 6 quarts of transmission fluid. (noting that the transmission in this car only holds 5 quarts). The problem did not go away so on July 9th we took it to our regular mechanic. He said that the bolt that is required to be opened to put the fluid in has not been opened lately at all. He then drained the fluid and it was darker than crude oil. He said there was no way the fluid gets this black in 20 days meaning it was never replaced like AAMCO had claimed. He cleaned the filter, put it back and added fluid. This all cost $130 and the car has been running fine ever since. On Monday July 12th we went to AAMCO and talked to the manager, Larry. We showed him the pictures the mechanic took and told him what he had told us. He said that as far as he can see, on the computer, all the fluid was drained and filled. He said he was on sick leave at that time and doesn't really know what was going on but that there was a lot that went wrong. He called the mechanic that did the job and the mechanic said that he had opened and drained the pan and added fluid. I told him that his manager said that according to the records it was drained completely and filled with 6 quarts, but before he could say anything else Larry interrupted him and told us he needs to talk to another mechanic that was there at the time.He said he would call me the next day. He never called me back so a week later on on Monday July 19th we went back to AAMCO and asked for a refund. Larry said he had to talk to his manager in Tulsa and he would call me back tomorrow. On Tuesday July 20th he kept his promise but instead of calling me he texted me. He said his manager said no to a refund.Makes you wonder how many costumers they have done this to, charging for a job they claim they did but never actually did. What they did was wrong and dishonest. Definitely not what we expected from a big company like AAMCO.We will never go back and don't advise anyone to do so.

I can't believe what these people did to my cousin's Mustang....they just kept his car for almost a month and didn't repair anything, on the contrary they did a lot of damage to the car...They put the car's transmission in the trunk... seriously, that transmission is very heavy and now the car has cracks....If I could give zero stars I would.

Long story short we had taken our truck to another shop (NOT AAMCO) for repairs. When returned the trucks transmission needed to be replaced & they didn t want to fix the damage they caused. AAMCO was recommended to us by a friend. We called and explain the situation. We asked tons of questions & they explained everything to me. They were understanding of our situation. They were very quick on getting back to us about the issues they found. And the lead time on repairs & part delivery. They had our truck for about 7 days (these 7 days included parts delivery) . And through out those 7 days they communicated with us on updates. Even though we didn t ask that of them. Which was amazing and showed they cared. We are very pleased with the work they did. And we are very happy on how they treated us.Service: Transmission

BEWARE!!!!!!!! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ANY OF THEIR FACILITIES!!!!!!! Horrible! Sabrina and Parker both told Me lie after lie about my car. It cost Me over 850 dollars in rental car fees and wasted trips here from Lawton bc Sabrina repeatedly lied to me about my car saying it would be ready by the end of the day. They had my car over 2 weeks and even went as far as saying the fedex truck my part was on must have had a wreck They repeatedly ordered the wrong part and lied so many times they couldn t even keep a straight one. My car cost over 3000 for a clutch and a fly wheel and they gave me n paperwork or proof of what they did. They are scammers and liars and DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THEM! They went as far as to blame the issue on the pandemic. We have been out of the pandemic for 2 years. They lied when the truth would have been better and when I went and paid for my car Sabrina admitted to lying. Just avoid this place at all cost. I would give them negative 100 stars if I could. I had to obtain a lawyer to even get my car

Absolutely the best around! We went to a couple places for estimates and opinions on our transmission. They were the most friendly and knowledgeable. They called and updated us often. They ordered our transmission & it was an 8-9 days delivery. which we understand. After the transmission arrived they had it ready for pick up the SAME day. Will be recommending to friends and family & will have all our future business.Service: Transmission

Twice this year I've used AAMCO (8020 N Rockwell Ave, OKC) for major repairs on my 2011 VW Jetta S: rebuilt transmission and front brakes in January 2023 & back brakes and oil change in July 2023. The pros for me were they actually work on Volkswagen (difficult to find around here unless it's a dealership), the staff is pleasant, and, as far as my non-mechanic opinion goes, they satisfactorily fixed my issues. The cons were the cost (but, hell, who isn't expensive?!) and payment was kind of inconvenient. I paid for the first job by card over the phone ($3700 by the time I drove off) and they charged a 2% fee. So, to avoid the fee, I paid cash the second time ($970.) Inconveniently for me, they DO NOT CARRY CASH IN THE STORE and cannot make change. I'm grateful the young lady in the office was accommodating and sent a tech to get change. While I can understand no on-site cash for hyper-security reasons, it's very much customer unfriendly and, honestly, a bit ridiculous. All the whining aside, I have no qualms with the work that was done on the car.Services: Transmission, Brakes, Oil change

All of my oil changes, brake jobs, battery checks even when I need wiper blades (which is what I did yesterday getting ready for more bad weather). Parker Puckett greeted me when we walked in at the Northwest Expressway and Rockwell location... (There are seven locations in the Oklahoma City metro area and three in the Tulsa Metro).Parker had everything taken care of and the car out on the parking lot ready to pick up earlier than he had promised.AAMCO Transmission and Total Car Care deserves a 10 STAR if they offered it, instead of 5.Be sure to tell them that Wade Carter recommended you to AAMCO. 1/25/24

I have taken my vehicle to AAMCO twice and they have not disappointed me either time. They have always given an estimate and have always said it could be lower, but the estimate was always high balled because of unexpected expenses that I've never had to pay for. Terry the guy behind the counter knows his stuff and I and I enjoyed working with him. The mechanic obviously knew what he was doing truck is running fantastic right now. If I have another issue I will be calling them again.

My only gripe is they advertise TOTAL car care. They said they couldn't replace the radiator bracket and i needed to take it to a body shop before they would work on the transmission for my sons car. Well I did take it elsewhere to get the bracket replaced. But!I will find someone else to do the transmission work now.Sorry, not sorry, false advertising is proof of a dishonest business.TOTALtotal adjective1. comprising the whole number or amount.2. complete; absolute.

I looked up this Aamco and called them, from the get go they were fast, efficient, and polite with all my questions. From miss Sabrina answering the phone to Eric keeping me updated with my vehicle progress and when I could pick it up. Would definitely recommend this establishment.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I HIGHLY recommend having your car serviced here. Terry is honest and professional. I was told by my dealership that I needed a new transmission. After getting a diagnostic service, I was told there was nothing wrong with my transmission! I m so thankful for his honesty, and I will continue to have my car service by Terry from now on.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenanceServices: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

They're very friendly and knowledgeable. They rebuild my transmission in a few days and had me going strong. It took about 5 mins to leave and sign papers. Will recommend and will return. Very impressive.

Had my transmission fixed at this location. The manager Nate is very friendly and great to talk to. Nate was very honest and open about my car. Nobody likes it when their car is having issues and the amount it s going to cost to fix it, but I paid $1,000 less than what the dealership quoted me. I definitely recommend this place.

They expertly handled every challenge that was presented and managed to repair my brakes in one day, despite having to squeeze me in amongst their other work and despite my brakes apparently being difficult to get. Even so, they still managed to save me some money at the end of it all. I will definitely be returning here for anything else I need in the future. :)Service: Brakes

I called around to get quotes on work needed on my truck according to the dealerships recommendation. I spoke with Larry and he recommended that I come in to have his technicians check it out. When I arrived I was greeted by Larry by name, his technician immediately checked my truck out and quoted me hundreds of dollars less then the dealership. Customer service at its finest! I will definitely be back.

They couldnt get my transmission right after seven tries. Then the cheat-thief of an owner tried to weasel his way out of the warranty.Man claims to be a christian and tries to get the trust of naive customers like me.Well, I have no doubt that he will be spending eternity somewhere a lot warmer than here. And the world will be a better place without scoundrels like him in it.Pray you do not fall prey to his deceitful business practices and trust the warranties that are not worth the paper they are printed on.They took nearly 3,000 from me for a flex plate, a transmission repair, and some sort of cable for a steering column. They like to advertise "take your car to the experts at AAMCO where they will fix it right the first time."These clowns couldnt get it right after seven tries. And every time it goes back they drag their feet, and push it behind every new job that comes along because they get no commission on warranty work.So if you are dumb enough to take your car to these people, you can expect not to use it for months and months, and then to have to get it towed right back within a week.Service: Transmission

I like Aamco, Greg & the mechanics up there. They always make sure that they let me know what the issues are & give me a choice to make the repairs or not. They seem completely transparent & out to make sure to get you taken care of completely before you leave. If you still having issues they make sure that it s handled before your vehicle is given back to you. I d recommend them to anyone having car troublesServices: Exhaust, Auto engine diagnostic, Battery

I had to replace my timing chain on my GMC Terrain. They got me right in the next day and was finished in a day and half. They called to keep me updated throughout the process. They found another issue while my engine was pulled out, that could not of been seen otherwise, and called me right away to tell me and quote me a price to get it fixed, which I did. I hate trying to find mechanics who are honest and good at what they do, but I think I found the place. They were friendly, answered ALL my questions, and explained to me everything I wanted to know. They have a year warranty on parts and labor, which gave me better peace of mind, as it was not a cheap repair. I am a single mom of three children, and my car is my lifeline between work, school, sports, etc., so thank you so much for getting it done in a timely manner and being honest people. I will be coming back.UPDATE: Three days after I wrote the original review, my car was leaking oil A LOT. I had to take it back up there because it wasn t sealed properly. They did get it fixed and had me come back a few days later just to make sure there was no oil leaking anywhere. All good!!! Last week I took my car back there and had my struts replaced, along with a list of other things ($2,000 worth). My car is now pulling to the right, and to drive straight my wheel is very obviously shifted to the left. Once again I have to find time and a ride to go back up there to fix something after them repairing my car. I really thought I found a good mechanic shop for my car, but I think I will have to find another place now. Bummer.Gabrielle Dark-Tillis

I can't say enough bad things about this place. They are absolute CROOKS. They charge whatever price they want for whoever they want. For example, they charged a friend of mine X amount for a service. 2 weeks later I went for the exact same service and they charged me FOUR times as much. They kept my car 2 days later than they said they would and it was broken into while in their care (window busted, radio stolen, etc). They then preceded to say it wasn't there fault and there was nothing they could do about it. They left my car dirtier than when it was brought in and I had there were multiple new door dings/scratches when I picked it up. If you value your time, property, and money, do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

This is going to be a long one. You got my business in the middle of the year while Marcus was still manager. He was quick, accurate and friendly. I believe Martin was my outstanding mechanic. They got it fixed and cheaper than I thought and in one day. Kept in contact via text I was thrilled. I began using AAMCO at that time. Then in May my AC went out, I called Marcus but he had moved. He helped get me set up with Nate the new manager. Again excellent customer service. Then, I got there and the repair was 1200.00 AC Compressor which I hated but in Oklahoma you have to do it. The car is a single owner Car and always taken for maintence at the dealer so I know it was well taken care of while they had it. Then after I left I noticed my front, driver side blinker was not working. I went back a couple weeks later because it was no longer blowing cold air and they needed to attach the front signal back. I was told it was the cabin filter and it needed to be replaced and so another 200.00 and the air was back and the signal was tightened. Success right? Nope, 3 days later air was out again. Basically Nate didn t believe me so I brought him out to the car and he was shocked it was blowing HOT air. Told me to leave it and they would fix it. Called me later in the day and told me the they had accidentally left something unsealed, they refilled it and put the cap back on. Life was good... until I turned left and he signal was doing that again. But I decided if I had to choose between a signal and air, since the signal was blinking just very fast and the rear ones were fine I just left it alone. Things were good for about 3 weeks and now it is blowing hot air then cold air at random. I ve spent 1400.00 or more and my signal works but the air does what it wants. I took it in the told me it was probably an accuator door they think and it s 105.00 and he to determine which one or if that is it and and so I m driving it like that for now. Oh and they decided my brakes needed both pads and rotors which was fine they quoted me 300.00 more than another Garage and that was your sale price, there regular. So long story short, when Marcus and martin were there thing were done efficiently and I didn t wonder how big my bill would keep being without ever rectifying the situation. I m super sad because I ordered my transmission to be put in there but I feel like I, a teacher, a women with health issues am in trouble. By the way Martin wasn t there either I had a female mechanic which is fine but I think maybe she is struggling and with the money and other business I ve sent there I think I should be taken care of better. My other complaint is if I bring my car back repeatedly for the same thing, I shouldn t have to reline up every time but I do. I ve been without my car as much as I ve had it this summer and still have intermittent air and honestly I can t afford much more. I think you are trying but it just isn t what it used to be with Marcus and Martin.Respectfully,Michelle

Just want to send a big thanks to Mike, Jim and the boys over at AAMCO at Northwest Expressway and Rockwell. These guys made repairs to both mine and my wife's vehicles at a reasonable cost. They were also quick to answer any questions I had before, during and after the repairs were complete. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a good and honest transmission or automotive repair facility. They are a very knowledgeable team of mechanics and service writers.

TJ, Nate and Martin at the Rockwell store were nothing short of great ! I was headed out of town and was on a short time table and they jumped in to make sure it was resolved on time. They were very professional and easy to talk to. They resolved the issues on my truck which was not a normal and easy fix. I can t say enough good things about these guys. Awesome job fellas !!!

My starter went out and they took care of it super quick! Very professional and helpful. They even had a towing service that was less expensive for the entire tow than most people were for just the hook up. Would happily use again.
