I ve been going here for the past 3 years for various issues and I ve had nothing but a great experience!! I recommend them to everybody. Fair prices and they work quickly! They always check up on the vehicle after the fact , making sure everything is working well. I also appreciate that I don t get the pink tax there!! They are also really good at explaining things to me in a way I can understand and never get annoyed or frustrated with my questions!!

I've been going here for a year now, and every time has been a blessing. These guys dont mess around. The hospitality is great, and they r super dog friendly. I would recommend it to anyone.

Took my car in at 8am and it was done by 9:15. The dealership quoted me 4x what they did and they (Sooner Auto) had better customer service and care for the customer. I dont think I will be going anywhere else for future car trouble. I would recommend them to my great-great grandma.

My rear brake pads and rotors were giving out, and I was desperate for a place to take my car in for service on a weekend. Sooner Auto Service had zero wait time, and were able to get my car fixed up in less than two hours after I dropped it off. They had reasonable prices for the service as well. Would highly recommend!!

They are just legal scammers like a lot of the comment s said, they are probably putting themselves the good comments.Brought my car at first they asked for 119 for a FULL diagnostic test which is fine but then they asked another 99$ for another test.Then he said that the fix will be between 800-1200 not including Labor, or the second option was that my whole engine was broken.Took the car from there to another place the second place said that they don t need any more than the diagnostic they have already done and charged me 480 in total including Labor.This guys are awful they are just scammers, stay away

I asked local auto shops and everyone described this place as a hole in the wall filled with good honest people. My experience was exactly that. It s not a fancy place, but they do really good work for a low price. A much better experience than dealerships that up-charge you and tell you that you need to replace everything.My specific experience was my car stopped being able to shift gears and I limped it over to check it out. They diagnosed the issue and told me what I needed to do. They offered a very fair price to do it all there, but I ended up replacing the parts myself since I enjoy working on cars, but their diagnostic was perfect.I will definitely be returning!

I feel completely taken advantage. I was in Norman for the weekend and my car died. They took it in and stated that the alternator was bad. Charged me $1040 for a new one. I picked it up to drive home and it died. Got it to a shop near home and they stated that it was an oil issue. I have never been so disgusted and disappointed in my life. I ve been coming to Sooner Auto for my auto needs these past two years. Their service is impeccable and timely. The guys always do a great job with repairs and Dakota is great with follow up. They all are.I have never felt uncomfortable or pushed to make unnecessary repairs, and they are up front and honest about costs and what is needed to get you back on the street.There is no mechanic shop I would recommend more highly than here.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance

Dakota and his team are absolutely amazing! I never have any issues with their repairs. They are fast and efficient, have great communication about each vehicle I have taken to them! The BEST mechanics in Norman! I m so thankful I found this place. They are so dependable and HONEST! I have got my whole family bringing their cars here when needed because they are that good! It s the honest part that keeps bringing me back. They do great work and Dakota and Asher are always so friendly and helpful. Up until I found them, I always thought mechanics were crooks, but they showed me they aren t at all like that. They also have coached me on my cars issues so I learned on top of getting my vehicles fixed! They are the best in the state! I went to my regular spot at sooner auto, I can't believe I'm posting this review so late. Should've given them years ago, but I'm here now. Thank you to the man who helped me today on my Hyundai. I had a fuel line leak located at the fuel filter's quick connect inlet. My fuel line popped out and didn't connect fully. I temporarily zip-tied the line to the inlet to prevent major leakage.I called up Sooner Auto Service yesterday, the guys took a look at it, and Dakota ordered a new filter. I came in the next day (today) and gave them the keys. David replaced the filter, pushed the line in, and it clicked. It seems my fuel line was long enough (I thought it was too short) and all was good. It seemed that the only problem was the quick connect inlet.I paid about $172 in total. I necessarily can't complain about the price because I didn't do it. If it was a simple filter replacement it seems a little bit high. Nonetheless, I support the guys, David's got dirt and grime all over and you can tell he works hard.After paying, I took a look under the car and discovered a leak/slit in the fuel line. I probably must have accidentally cut the line while I was temporarily zip tying it together before I came in to the shop.I walked back in and spoke to Dakota while David took a look at it. They picked up the 5/16" double barb, cut the line, and put it in between. Patched up and no leaks, all good. The only thing is it looked a little "bubbly" now? I assume someone thought the nylon line could be shrunk with heat, but no qualms. I'd probably think/do the same.Considering my laziness to repair it myself, it seems somewhat reasonable, a little high for a simple filter replacement but the second no questions patch work made up for it.Quick Tip: Ask to about price prior to getting service. Just so know one is surprised about what they are paying at the end. This is what I should've done. I try my best to place trust in auto shops rather than nitpick as I know all shops can get a bit of flack from other customers. Support the hard working guys, try not to complain too much.Thanks for the hard work David.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have been getting my oil services done at Sooner since I moved to Norman three years ago. I moved to OKC last month and I returned to Sooner Auto today because I trust them. The service is quick, the staff is friendly and honest, and the prices are great. They do not try to sell me anything that I do not need. When I went there today I had a leak in my tire and they patched it up and did my oil change in less than 45 minutes. I have never had a bad experience. I usually call ahead to see if they have room to fit in an oil change. I mean it when I say this place is worth the drive. I can count on them!Services: Tires, Oil change

I understand that they were busy. However, it took 3 days for them to get to my car, and on day 4 they finally told me that I could not fix it and I would need to take it to the dealership. They offered no updates without me having to call them first. By the time they told me I needed to take it to the dealership, I had already passed the shop on the Norman bus system and returned home. I had to get back on the bus system to get to the shop again, which took over an hour. If they had taken a minute or two to call me and tell me when they came to this conclusion, I could have stopped the bus and been there over 2 hours earlier.

They shut down the theory of never trusting mechanics. I had my Honda serviced back in March for a power steering pump replacement, serpentine belt replacement, and oil leak fixed. I also needed an oil change so he just threw that in with the service with no extra charge. Asher and Dakota work hard and are always honest about their work. I won't go to any other mechanic shop from this point on.

Great service. Great prices. And they're honest! They won't sell you a bunch stuff you don't need. We've used Sooner Auto for 3 years now to work on our personal cars and they've taken great care of us. My husband also sends all his fleet trucks from work to Sooner Auto; Dakota gets them serviced and back in the field quickly. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I came in to have my tire patched ($15 dollars)When I received the phone call to pick up my vehicle I was informed that the mechanic damaged my wheel stud and my lug nut as well.Upon picking up my 2011 Malibu I was also quoted $120 on top of the $15 for damage done to my vehicle by the shop.Service: Tires

This place is awesome! My serpentine belt broke while in Norman and these guys got my car in immediately and fixed so we could get home to coalgate! Absolutely honest and would recommend giving them a shot!

Came to Sooner Automotive because my AC was not working. They were sweet and did what they could to get my AC back working. I was there from out of town. They told me the compressor was gone. We were hoping that's not what it was but had to live with it until we got back home. I would definitely take my car back to them.

Dakota is the man! Been coming here since I got my learners permit 5 years ago, across 3 different cars and I've never been disappointed. While it hurts to get most repairs done, I'm at least happy its you guys I'm coming too. Always made me feel very comfortable and typically will walk me through whats happening before it happens. Haven't met many of the other people at the shop but Dakota's a solid guy and I imagine the rest are as well.

We arrived right before close with a broken wheel barring. They were able to get us in and have the parts shipped to there store and fixed the very next day. Great communication and they did exactly what they said they would do and in a timely manner.
