They answer the phone!! I called 6 places and only got 2 calls back.Super nice and friendly.Transmission/car issue are stressful and she addressed all my concerns.Thanks for being a blessing!!

I have recommended this company many times. Unfortunately I have learned they charged me for repairs that were never done. I own a fleet of vehicles that they have worked on and I have had to take every single one to another shop in Oklahoma City and not one truck transmission man worked on had been fixed properly or even at all. Also recommended a child hood best friend for a transmission here and he drove 10 miles and truck broke down after a brand new transmission was replaced. I would recommend just going somewhere else that will do the job right and not cut corners.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

In July, 2022 Transmission Man replaced the Transmission in my GMC Acadia and it performed like new. I purchased the 5 Year Warranty.ON SATURDAY MAY 13TH, 2023, I became concerned that my transmission was slipping, I had to wait until this morning on a Monday to call in and share my problem. I called in around 7:30 before opening and left a message. To my surprise Matt called me back quickly and told me to bring the car in today and they would test drive with me to see what was happening.Hugo Hernandez took me on a test drive and I discussed with him what I thought was happening. He told me they would have to put it up on the rack and check everything out. He said he would call me as soon as they knew what the problem was before 4:00 PM. Around 2:00 PM Hugo called and told me my car was ready to be picked up and they had repaired it. I asked if I owed them any money. He said No.It turned out NOT TO BE THE TRANSMISSION. IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE SUSPENSION, which they repaired without charging me.Hugo Hernandez gave the very best Customer Service ever.Same day service that let me be able to get back to work.I would RECOMMEND Transmission Man to anyone looking for quality Transmission replacement and excellent Customer Service. Extremely helpful service. Parker went above and beyond to help me find a unique part for my transmission. Even though he knew someone else was going to have to fix it, he still made several calls back and forth to me and other auto service businesses for several days to help get what I needed to fix my car. Integrity and honesty is what you get here. When it comes to your vehicle, you need someone you trust. This is that place. Highly recommend them.Service: Transmission repair

We purchased a car for our daughter 3 years ago. We took that car to the transmission man for a new transmission. He kept the car for 7 months the first time. We got it back and had it for less than 6 months and had to take it back. They then had it for 6 months and when we received the car back it had a bad battery and the transmission light immediately came back on. They said it should go back off that the car is just trying to learn the new transmission. We had it about a month before having to take it back. This last time they had the car for 7 months and true to the last time within 20 miles of picking it up the transmission light is on. They have had the car twice as much as we have and we are at a loss. Why do we keep taking it back? Because they will not refund our money and it's under warranty. We cannot afford another $4000 to replace it again. Would not recommend them to anyone. If they were honest, returned phone calls or even answered them I may feel differently. The integrity of this company is sadly lacking.

Long story short....Got my transmission replaced in March and after 5 visits and the fender getting a ding in it we are now in September and there's still a shudder that continues to get worse and the fender is still not fixed. Contacting a lawyer and trading the vehicle in. Communication is horrible and when you do talk to them there is no follow through. Had the transmission had no problems this would have been a 5 star review but when there's a problem it's impossible to get it fixed.Services: Transmission, Transmission repair

don't go to this place they will waste your time. put my car in the shop they told me it would be a week. end of the week I called they said two weeks. call another week later and said they hadn't even started on it. this is three weeks I've been without and unable to work because I use my vehicle to work. everyone on the phone are very rude no matter how nice you are to them. one even ended up calling me stupid. very disappointed

My experience with Matt and his team were excellent they have always treated me fairly and were honest in every way. I feel I m pretty experienced when comes to working on vehicles and have my own shop. When it comes to transmission I leave it to the experts. I don t trust many with my vehicles but I sure trust Matt and his team. I ve had two vehicles there and soon will have a third to be worked on. Good example Ammco wanted to rebuild my transmission Matt and his team pulled the pan cleaned and inspected found only that the fluid was bad and i was back on the road for a very low cost. Trust goes a long ways.I highly recommend there service if you want quality and someone you can trust.Service: Transmission

The staff at Transmission Man is courteous, professional, honest and knowledgeable. My initial contact was with Parker Puckett, he went above and beyond to ensure that my concerns were addressed and provided great communication throughout the entire process. My other encounters with the staff were pleasant and informative. I have no doubt that I made the correct decision on where to take my vehicle. If I have any future needs I would automatically take my vehicle back to Transmission Man. towed my vehicle from my home some 15 miles away to their shop, had it on the lift, pulled the transmission, rebuilt the transmission, put it back in and had me back on the road. I had to wait in line a little bit which is to be expected at a busy shop that does good work and therefore gets lots of customers, but it was about a week from start to finish and I was good to go. 20k miles later, transmission shifts like a dream, no problems. price was very competitive, work was great, people were great. highly recommend !

They get you by saying they are cheaper than the dealership and with a better warranty. So I bring my car in. They told me they can have it diagnosed by the next day but then Took several days to even get to it. And made me feel rushed because it was on the lift and said that they can rebuild the transmission there with new better upgraded parts. So I agreed for them to do it. They tried to give it back to me 3 times with it still having problems. They had my car for over a month. Never would give me an update unless I reached out to them. There was no way to speak with the mechanic directly only a guy named bob that would never return a phone call. They ended up sending my car to a dealership to have them fix it because they ended up just throwing in a reman transmission that didn t work, once it was done at the dealership they made no effort to go get it until I demanded my car back. I m sure the mechanics are great and the girl in the office was very nice and helpful. But because of Matt and Bob being the liars they are, I would never bring another vehicle there nor recommend anyone else using them.

They will tell you it will be done in a day or two then keep your vehicle for 2 weeks and then not answer the phone when you start calling back about your vehicle if you were 2 weeks out say that up front don t say a couple days when you really need 2 weeks to do the work don t act like your phones don t work they worked fine until you got your money up front for the job then all of a sudden I get the run around or I can t get an answer at all .i wish I could leave zero starsService: Transmission repair

We had one of our service trucks that needed transmission work dropped off. Matt called us and explain it needed to be rebuilt. Well after about 90 days of waiting for corporate to approve the work. They did and Matt was very patient with us. Even helped us on the price. I had to fly in from houston to pick up the truck and Matt was able to give me the keys on a Saturday when they are closed. The truck runs smooth and I'm very satisfied with the quality of work and the customer service was superb. Highly recommend them.

So first off, MOST transmissions repairs are pricey no matter where you go. With that being said ms.sage at the front desk was VERY helpful for me and my situation. Customer service for me was 10/10. Just be nice and talk to her with respect and you will get the same. They are a very busy shop but they know their stuff!

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!! We used them last summer when the transmission went out in our truck. The transmission went out exactly one year and two days later. Since it did not go out within the year when we brought it back they requested $1200. The called us two to three times regarding being paid beforehand. We paid the $1200 and was told it would be done by the next week (this was in June). They continued to put it off and we finally got the call (after telling them we were done) that it was ready. We picked the truck up and on the way home it went back out again. We immediately brought it back. They told us it would be fixed. After hounding them because the do not return phone calls even after telling us hundreds of times they would call us back they never would. We finally were told it was fixed so we got it once again and it went back out on the way home. We told them we wanted our money back but they refused so they said they would tow it back to their shop and fix it. We were told almost every day they would have a tow truck out. Never did. I finally called Bob (whom now is fired) and he said he would have one out that day and he would call me back. He never called back so I called twice and he kept saying how frustrating it is that the towing company won t call because they are next to their building so I took it upon myself to google the address + nearby towing and I called the number. The gentleman answered and I asked him about the situation and he stated that today was the first day he had heard about it (Bob had stated for two weeks he had called) and Bob told him it had to be done that day. (Obviously because he slacked and lied). It was towed that day (towing company was great). They continued to give us the run around and said the computer was out and how they were waiting for the part to come in. Long story short - the truck was just towed (9.21.2020 @ 10 AM) to a different transmission place due to them not doing their job. We have dealt with this place from June to the end of September and still did not get the truck properly fixed. If I could give this place a zero rating I would. Do not waste your time. Do not believe anything Matt says either. We dealt with him also after Bob was fired but he will tell you he will call back also and never does. He will tell you it s almost done but it won t be. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND PATIENCE. This place needs shut down.Service: Transmission

I screwed up trying to fix something myself, and had to have my car towed to this shop. Matt was extremely helpful and was very nice. I called his shop at 5pm, and had my car towed there after hours. They had my car up and running within 20 hours of the first call. Extremely satisfied and will use again if need-be.

These people are truly wonderful, we were having them fix our transmission on a vehicle we just purchased which had already put us in a bind as we desperately needed that vehicle, then to top it off had a death in the family and had to pay out of pocket for a unexpected funeral and making us unable to pay off the amount owed on the vehicle up front. They are so amazing about working with us on payments and not putting a lean on he vehicle which any other shop would ve done. These people are truly amazing and I m so thankful for them! Will recommend all friends and family to this shop!

It may have taken a little longer then expected because they are slammed, but my car is running great. I know if I have any issues, they will fix it no questions asked. Elizabeth has a hard working crew there. And they are local, which makes it nice. I am all for supporting local owned business.

Just had my daughters transmission rebuilt in her Hummer and I would recommend this company to anyone. The owner Matt was very helpful and thorough, he called me multiple times throughout the whole process and explained how and what all happened, and how they were going to fix it...excellent customer service and they really know their stuff, very fair on price also. I couldn't be happier

Can I give NEGATIVE 5 STARS?!Did not honor initial agreement. Overcharged. Removed parts that should never have been removed. Gave the truck back in literal pieces. Extremely rude and defensive when I asked for a detailed invoice before attempting to discuss matters. Never provided one for their $5500.00 worth of work . Took them to small claims and they no showed, so judgement by default. They still won t pay.

We were visiting here from Kansas City, Mo and our transmission went out on us. I was lost and scared and had no idea what to do.I called this company and the owner, Matt answered. It was a Saturday evening and he should of been home with his family but he was helping us instead. I have never encountered a more friendly person. I was immediately at ease and the fact he was able to get us fixed and headed home the following night at a reasonable cost blew my mind. There is no other better business to call!! Ya'll here in Oklahoma City are lucky to have this place!

I stopped in with a 2006 Suzuki (which requires a special fluid - that no one has). I bought some on line and took the fluid and car to the shop. John, the tech, and Matt listened to "my story" and then added a little fluid to the car. Being very busy he suggested I call back to schedule an appointment to check for a possible leak. All this happened on a "drive by". I felt very good with their treatment of me and I will schedule the appointment. So far I recommend this shop. Thanks guys!!

wow what an amazing group of people ,I have been to several shops trying to figure out a noise my h3 hummer is making so i took it to these transmission specialists and they were the only shop that could correctly diagnose my issue thanks alot guys when I do have a transmission problem i will defenitely bring it to you guys and no one else youn were great and much appreciated your whole team ROCKS!! Last Sunday on the way back to the city our transmission started slipping badly, we called the Transmission Man and the owner Beth answered on Sunday, Wow she arranged for a tow, met us at their shop and even gave us a ride back home, what great help she was! On monday morning they diagnosed our problem and our 2015 Chevy Silverado needed a rebuild. Sadly at 137,000 miles we had no factory warranty. I use my truck for work and needed it back fast and these folks jumped through hoops to get me back on the road by Wednesday and with a 5 year warranty I was impressed!We will be recommending this place to all our family and friends, thank you Transmission Man. ;-)John Kelly

They kept my truck longer than they said it would take to rebuild my transmission. When I got my truck back it had a new annoying noise. Long story short they damaged my evap line when they removed transmission and did not own up to it. Recommended I take it in to another shop close by. Naw u not gonna damage my stuff to get business for your buddies down the street. Transmission works though.

They provide quality, top of the line, work! I took my 1997 Camaro up there for repair and left with no issues. I highly recommend this place for transmission repair without a doubt. They will have your transmission running brand new within 72 hours!

Not sure what all the 1 star reviews are about. Musr be a different employee. The owner is a great guy and always willing to help. He helped me with transmission issues and spent over 3 hours diagnosing my issues on the car. In the end, he was able to add fluid on my sealed transmission and didn't charge me a thing. Highly recommended. Unfortunately he is short staffed, so if you need same day service you'll have to wait.

Worst experience ever, they had my truck over THREE months and EVERY warning light that they created while working on my truck is STILL on. Heard every excuse in the book, they cut my exhaust While working on my transmission and now my 02 sensors are bad. This disabled Veteran will do everything he can to ensure other Veterans arn't scammed like I was. Matt the owner and his daughter should be ashamed of themselves.

I have been through a lot with my 2014 Cruze. The dealership messed up my transmission, then wouldnt admit that they did it, and then refused to fix it for free even though it was still under warranty and they messed up my car. I reached out to Chevy corp and I just ended up getting the run around. Tried trading the car, tried another dealership, etc. I got nowhere.Dealership wanted $3,200 to fix the transmission. I called Matt and told him my story. When I was done, he asked if it was still under warranty. When he found out that it was, he refused service and said "I cant have that on my councious. I cant charge you to repair/replace your transmission if there is still a chance you can get it for free."He then referred me to a dealership in Norman. I called them and they are getting my car fixed under warranty and I should have it back sometime later this week.Matt had every right to try to bring me in and make a profit off of me. He had every right to try to repair/rebuild my transmission. Instead, he showed compassion and showed that he truly cares about people and is not in the business for the money. This is a rarity in our society.Just for that, I HIGHLY recommend this guy to everyone!
