A bit slower than Hartshorne.. But they get a bad rap.. Were getting through a good size line as quick as they could and got everyone out as quick as possible. Good job.Update: 6-5-23: a bit inefficient in just getting a tag.. and there was already a line of a dozen people before opening. I was luckily third. So only about 15 minutes so far.. No complaints but it could be handled smoother especially for such a bigger and obviously better funded operation than the much smaller but faster Hartshorne office.

Pretty good. They took care of my license transfer. Checked in before they opened using the QR code on the door.Note: places like DMVs and hospitals, you should always expect to wait and be patient.

The tag agency ladies were very nice and everything to update my tag went smoothly. We've had some iffy service in the past but today was down right enjoyable.

Went as a walk-in was it two hour wait for my daughter to get seen but the people were amazing there is only two people working on the driver license side but they are both amazing gave my daughter every opportunity so she could get her license

I went to renew my C. D. L license and examiner Williams was extremely helpful. She is what all examiners should set out to be like. Patient and polite. Thank you for a great experience.

Taking my 16 year old for his license. Made the appointment a month in advance, paid for in advance, to sit and wait 20 minutes after appointment time. When our time came he went through our paperwork like a Russian gulag overseer, criticizing every form we had, only to be told it was acceptable. After the drive test, you don t go to an office or meet privately, you stand in the foyer with people waiting in line, to be told you didn t pass. Five people before us, and not one passed, when I asked for a copy of the form, he said it was for their office only and couldn t be handed out. How are you supposed to know what to work on for next time? Seems shady, flunk more people, more tests have to be paid for.

My driver, who I brought for a CDL driving test, had been in there waiting for over 30 minutes waiting to get his license. He had one number in front of him and they left on a break. There were more behind him also. This was ridiculous and extremely POOR customer service. I had to leave for a bus route.

The driving instructors failed a license test for taking the hands off the wheel while at a stop light. She was very frigid, and probably goes home and kicks her dog. 100% chance she hates her life. 0 stars out of 10.

I made a complaint about how confusing it is with the constant changing of hours. I also mentioned that after reading the reviews, I dreaded going back because I know I would have not reacted well to unprofessional behavior that I had read about. After the phone calls etc. I was called back by the supervisor Laura Cook this morning and was able to breeze in and out of there pretty quickly. She apologized for all the confusion and explained that they are training a large number of employees. Eventually, they are planning to go back to normal hours once training is complete. As far as behavior, everyone was very pleasant and courteous. Hopefully, things will continue to progress in a positive direction.

I was fortunate enough to be there at exactly the right time and got my Oklahoma drivers license. They do have an appointment system set in place currently and I did have an appointment with the office but it was set for April. I was able to get my license in between appointments that were already set by being there and waiting for the opportunity. I needed the license to get to work as many others do. If you have the time and luck you can too. The folks there are very helpful and I am thankful for their help with this issue in these times.

No stars! Worst place ever! Was told by a DPS officer i didn't have to have stamp on my CDL medical certificate. The day of my new physical, went by to have it stamped and he told me it was never needed! 2 weeks later I receive a letter from the state of OK saying I have 30 days to turn one in or my CDL will be downgraded!

If I could give no stars I would! My husband drove all the way from Seminole for his appointment at 3:45pm. At 3:30 it was his turn and he did not have the paper copy for our insurance but could get the digital one, the guy kept telling him he was locking up and to hurry up and while he's waiting to receive the email the guy locks the door and didn't even let him give it to him! It wasn't even his appointment time yet and they locked up and he had to drive all the way back home with nothing accomplished. Now he has to reschedule and pay for another appointment.

Worst DMV ever. They are understaffed, take forever and would rather chit chat then serve customers. I would recommend going anywhere but here. You can be here all day and still not get seen. It s a huge waste of time.

There is only one person to pay reinstatement fee to. Monday, not in Mcalester. Tuesday she couldn't be there, she was in court. So gotta wait until Thursday. I waited 5 hours for him to tell me to come back on Tuesday. I waited on Tuesday, heard someone else complain about her not being there. I was never given any information until the lady complain. If people gave more thorough information, probably wouldn't have angry people. If we didn't have taxes they wouldn't have a pay check.

Everyone was friendly and kind. They were quick - even when the computer system went down they still served customers and did what they could and told them where they could go if they couldn't fulfill their needs while their computers were down. The facility was clean and comfortable. My 5 year old and I sat there for only about an hour and 15 minutes and we were 34th in line.The staff didn't come off as rude to me - just frank and focused so they could serve and then move on to the next impatient person. My daughter left her thermos in the office and the lady even ran it out to us so we didn't forget it! I will gladly drive the 45 min/1 hour to come to this facility again!

I'm guessing it will be easier and faster just to go to Okc office for anything considering can't get anyone to answer a phone to make an appt or for any info. Tried to get liscence re-instated..drove to McAlester 30 to 35 miles from my location..only to wait and give up because got to have appt. Lady only there like once a week.. what?Can we give - stars?

The lady that deals with the license compliance AKA suspended license she was absolutely rude on the phone and I drove an hour there and she was still just as rude in person. If I didn't have my three children with me I would have been upfront with her. Someone with such a poor attitude does not need to have a job that requires you to be one on one with people all day everyday. You never know what someone is dealing with and to be that rude when you don't even know the person is ridiculous. Anyone who goes up there is obviously paying Their fines it's not like you're dealing with criminals. The older man in the driving license department, he was very kind and the women in the tag office were very kind. Other than the young blonde chick who had a piss poor attitude. Not near as bad as the first woman we dealt with. Come on if you're going to have a job or you're going to probably be busy almost every day of the week practice how to be kind and put a fake face on if necessary. This is not a fast food place that a bunch of teenagers work at, these are grown people. I don't like to leave bad reviews but I also don't leave places in a grumpy mood just because how I was treated. I hope they read this and try and be nicer in the future like I said you don't know what that individual could be dealing with outside of the DPS office. I do not wish to have to drive an hour there again. It would not be worth the drive.

I find it very unprofessional that they can t answer their phones. I ve called multiple times just to ask a simple question. They definitely deserve no stars. Wouldn t recommend trying to call. I don t like to be that way but that s ridiculous.

I booked an appointment 6 weeks in advance and was told I couldn t take my test because it was raining to hard it was sprinkling

Horrible service. I m local and I absolutely hate going to this place. The people are very rude and unhelpful. I m pretty sure that a green card is a VAILD GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID but they still refused to let my boyfriend take his test because he needed to come back with a real ID . When I took my test these people were very unwelcoming and over all just plain rude. How come they can t answer the phones? Maybe if they helped people they wouldn t have so many problems. Awful place.

When you go online to make an appointment its 55 days out till the next available appointment.The State is always a joke to work for or deal with.

Very nice and efficient. My driving examiner failed me for rolling one stop sign also had an attitude when I asked questions. Would not advise going here for road test! Spoke to the public department and said this examiner will be reviewed. But overall, the other workers were very polite!

This has been the most helpful office of them all. Not overcrowded, lots of appointments available online and clean office. Very efficient and on time. Process did not take long for doing my driver's test. I like to point out a special employee even though they were all nice. Ms Casebier was patient as one can be and very helpful. Thank you again for all your help!

Waited for 2 hours for them to tell me that they couldn't help me and sent me some where else because of them being low on staff that's after a year not answering the number for drivers control I wouldn't even give it a 1 but have to rate

This place is a joke for going to get your license reinstated , they have no system of how they do things . I was sitting in the lobby waiting from. .9 :15 and they open at 10:30. and there were 8 people waiting before I came in and about 10 more after I. And the opens the door at 10:30 and sats whoever is here for reinstaement come in in and get in line and evwryone runs ans rushes in . so however long you have sat and waited didn't ma%we if
