Pros: I love nature. Trees everywhere. There seems to be a lot of activities and amenities, but we didn't use them. I'm sure this place is amazing.Cons: Check-in process after hours and site 105. We had to call the number at the security booth to figure out our spot (my confirmation number was for spot 223, for when I booked this over 8 months ago. However, someone else was in that spot, so reservations aren't locked in.) A security worker rolled up with a female that either just got out of the shower or pool. And our spot was now 105. It was dark, after 8:30pm, we hooked up and walked the dogs for the night. In the morning, I can clearly see the mess left over from previous campers. Broken beer bottles, sewage from someone's black tank, and I picked up two empty beer cans. So sites aren't checked before new campers arrive.

I remember my dad getting us all memberships here when I was a kid and they were just really getting started. Spent my teen years here. Now I got kids growing up and all I can think is I want them too to have the same kind of memories I had here.

The sites have beautiful views of the lake. It's very secluded. Not close to stores or restaurants. Which is not a bad thing! Cell service is very good. Did not try the park wifi.Dawn, the park manager even delivered some mail we had sent to us to our camper.

You can tell that this place was really nice in its day. Unfortunately, it seems as though it hasn't been kept up in recent years. Everything is a little run down and could just use freshening and maintenance. Dock needed painted. Some of the amenities were no longer available or weren't working. The view from the Eagle's Nest was beautiful though. And it was a quiet place to stay close to the lake.

We have been coming to Pine Island for 3 years. Last year we became members. We love to come down and volunteer our time. Our family has helped redo the cabins, get signs made, we made new picnic tables and cleaned up the docks. Can t wait till our next volunteer work weekend Nov 12-14!!

I first experienced Andrea when booking. She was really helpful and gave me a great site.I arrived late and the park manager, Dawn, came over to make sure I was checked in ok.I have a big motorhome and the branches coming in are low. That's where the one star gets lost. The site was right on the water and the views are amazing. If you're coming by this RV resort, this is a must stay. I would and will do it again

Enjoyed our stay during the Covid 19 self isolation in April. We were here before the season started and it was quiet. We were impressed with the indoor pool. The bathrooms here had hot water and very clean. Only issue I had was the shower head came to my shoulder.

Used to come here as a child a long time ago. I am grateful it hasn't changed too much. Still has nice pools and nice camp sites. A few trails to walk down and more with nature than most other campgrounds. The view at Eagles Roost is still breathtaking. I am a tent camper when I camp. They have full amenities and showers that feel like they have unlimited hot water.

The staff was very friendly and gave good customer service. The campsites and bathrooms were very clean. Since we were camping during their off season, we were allowed to camp in the members only portion of park. Our campsite had a beautiful view of the lake. This resort does not offer any lakeside campsites, so the view was our best option. They have boat slips and 2 fishing docks, which we checked out. They have an indoor and an outdoor pool (which was already closed for the season) but don't have a swimming beach. We couldn't find the hot tub.The reasons I didn't give this a 5 star rating was the resort was kinda hard to get to coming from I44 north and the public portion of the campground had a country road running through it with campsites along the road.

Went and visited today, just to check out the park. Let's just say not really whelmed over this place. We are coast 2 coast members and I expected a members resort. After looking at there map most the sites are lease sites, which makes no sense. Lawn up keep needs some serious help and so do the sites. We will check out this place maybe in a year or so and see if it is any better. For coast 2 coast members go to Eagles Landing, much better resort.

was a beautiful area, loved the lush green wooded area.the campsites were so close together and in odd shapes making it difficult to roll out the awning before hitting the neighbor.the restrooms were filthy and stank horribly. Showers were even worse, glad we were self contained, the pools were murky and not clean at all! I don't think the pump was working at all.the trails were not maintained and we were not able hike which is one of the amenities that attracted us.The office personnel were not forth coming with information. "I don't know" came out of their mouths more often than not. We had fire pits but the store did not sell wood. The store had so little in it, candy, soda, beer, ice and ice cream seemed to be all the store stocked. We were quite a way from the nearest town and did not want to be in a car all day, anything that was forgotten, stayed that way!We came on the Gospel weekend, no other activities were planned so for Non-Christians, we had nothing to do for the weekend. It was really only set up for fishermen and boaters but for RV'ers it is boring, no where to walk, can't swim, limited activities. Not my favorite Coast to Coast resort and most likely will not return.

I have raised my children and now my grandchildren at Pine Island. If you ask my children of their favorite memories it is hands down Pine Island and they are happy we are making some of the same memories with the grandchildren. With being members we are happy to help improve the park. We usually take our chain saws and clears the view. Love this place, meeting new people, spending time in nature, and with family.

It s really too bad how much this place has gone downhill over this last year.It took me calling everyday for two weeks just to get someone to answer pick up the phone to reserve a site. The boat docks are so overgrown with weeds and is falling apart it s a safety hazard. We docked at the last slip and one of the fingers isn t even attached anymore! If that wasn t bad enough most of the other slips are missing cleats!Driving through the park with anything bigger than a small car will also scrape up your boat/rv/truck as the trees are also VERY overgrown.I also tried to get ice at 2pm on a Saturday but the main office was locked and there was no one at the checkin booth. I tried calling but no one answered.

Place needs revamped.Had a family reunion.. one cabin frig didn't work. My cabin was dirty. And others. My Aunt stayed at the Eagles nest.Someone was mistakenly checked in her room. And she, my cousin and his daughters had to use the shower in the pool room. And the back deck needs torn down and redone. Boards were holding up deck railing. Maintenance was mowing at early on a Saturday morning. The lil store and ice shack closed at 4 on that Saturday too. I was shocked because on Grand Lake weekends are the busiest days in summer. And heve always been like that. Another reunion in 2 years and hopefully it is redone.100$ for a dirty cabin and frig to not work.. is not right.

We got there the day after Memorial Day and stayed for a week. The entire 7 days they did not clean the bathrooms or the showers. We had to go to the office and ask for toilet paper. We rented a spot that was supposed to have electric and water. It had neither. They told us that since we had a tent we did not NEED either instead of fixing the problem. The office staff was very rude every time we went to them with a question or complaint. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!

Went here with my brother and his family. Had an amazing weekend. They have so much too do right there on the resort with an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool, volleyball area, mini golf, park, convenient store, and so much more!

Didn't stay there. Made reservations for 5 nights through coast to coast. When I received confirmation of my reservation I noticed that they were going to charge me $50 for amenities ($10/night) that I probably wouldn't have used. I canceled the next morning.

I was at pine island the weekend that the previous comment referers to. The pool was totally fine. We swam in both. The sites are shaped like sites at any campground. They are shaped how nature has shaped them....Some sites are larger while others are a bit smaller. That particular weekend there were several family reunions and gospel weekend so it was very busy. The town's are about 20 to 30 minute away, not too far to us. We always make one town run once to get supplies. The store has everything from beer to diapers and suncreen. No it doesn't have firewood...we use sticks and always get a nice fire going...I mean you are camping this is how we always do fires there. If you want to be close to town than why are going camping? Isn't the point to be in nature? It is for us. It is beautiful there. There is a fishing dock, 2 pools, mini golf, a teen center with games like air hockey, eagles nest with board games. The hiking trails I do think need some attention. As did the fishing dock last time I was there. It's very over grown right now. Needs weed eated, been that way all summer. First year I have noticed a problem with that though. Staff is friendly. But I think to friendly in that they don't make people follow rules. Boat trailer parking is out of hand. Boat parking area on way to fishing dock is empty while sites up on area 4 to the left along the road are full of people trailers. Also have noticed a lot of dogs of leash. Spotted 4 my last visit. Drove around this last time looking at leased sites, park map may need updated or people are using more sites than they have leased. Have been here a few times this year and one guy in particular across from daisy may has a site leased but has his canopy set up on site next to him with his boat parked there too. Either the map is out of date or the guy is using more than he is paying for. Seems some people who lease gradually try to take more spots than they should. The map said it was updated on April but he has been set up like that before April and still is. I worry about the park eventually being mostly leased and us weekend rv'ers will have no where to setup and start going elsewhere. I hope that doesn't happen. I know that the staff is aware of upgraded needing done and I know they do their best. If the park was totally updated and other campers following rules it would be a 5 star. If campers were following rules it would be a 4 star. If I see these issues I know staff can see them too they are just choosing not to address them and it is starting to the point where someone needs to do something.

This place is huge and plenty of shade trees. As a one night stop for road grippers? I won't do it again. It is way off the I-44 and the road is not RV friendly. Trees are low hanging in some areas of the road and it is a 2 lane "country" road.Called ahead to inquire of space sizes and utilities, was told there would be accomodating space somewhere. We came in after hours (the office closes at 4pm) and was told if that happened security would make sure we had what we needed. Security said...here is the map, go park wherever and see the office in the morning. Not all spaces are FHU and 50 amp. Took us 40 minutes wandering and stumbled on a good Sam who helped us out.

This is a great older resort where the people are super friendly and eager to lend a helping hand. Beautiful grounds, nice amenities, lake views and access. Indoor and outdoor pools....What more could you want!

Nice campsite. The park overall needs some tlc. It doesnt appear to be kept up very well. We were in site 432 which is a pull through site with the awning side of our rv facing grand lake. Great view. Staff is friendly.
