Ellis was very flexible with getting my vehicle brought in to fix. He was open and honest about what work he could do right now with all of the shortages happening and gave me several options as far as getting my car fixed. Once we decided what to do, he finished the work quickly. Very happy with my experience overall with My Mechanic. Definitely will be back if we need more work doneService: Electrical

I m very happy with the work done by Ellis at My Mechanic. I needed multiple mechanical repairs to my 2010 Toyota Sienna Minivan including radiator replacement, power steering leaks, brakes, oil change, and a few new wheel studs. His quote system is the easiest and most transparent I ve seen. The repairs were done quickly within the price estimated. Would definitely recommend him.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Brakes, Oil change

The mechanic here does good work, for great prices. He fixed my car for me while I was away on a trip and it was ready by the time I came back. Everything worked great and he explained everything he did to me. I would recommend his place to anyone.

Saved us while on Vacation from out of town! I highly recommend Ellis with My Mechanic in Bixby. We were driving to Tulsa from out of town and the oil line cracked, throwing oil everywhere but the engine. We had the van towed to My Mechanic and Ellis went beyond to help us out. He stayed late to check that the tow dropped off the car, got started early the next day and completed the repairs in record time. He is very friendly, professional and did not try to up-sell me on anything. Highly Recommended!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Oil change

My Mechanic is always busy and for good reasons. They do quality work at a fair price, and they complete the work very quickly despite the volume of cars in the queue. I have use My Mechanic several times now and each occasion of service was excellent.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

From the first time I called I knew I found my guy. He actually drove to my apt around the corner to look at my car for me. He even suggested I buy the parts I needed online to save money. Once I got the parts in he squeezed me in with a days notice and got it done with only 2 hours of labor. This man had a ton of opportunity to make money off me and he didn't. He truly just wanted to help me. I can't say enough about Ellis. If you are reading this, I promise you, you have found your new mechanic.Ellis if you read this, thank you sir. The money I saved goes to my 6 yr old little boy, groceries, and bills. You are a fine example of a small business serving our community for the better. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

When my mother-in-law's car started acting up and my old favorite mechanic retired, I had to restart my quest. I found Ellis' shop by Googling "most honest mechanic in Tulsa." That search led to a Reddit forum where people were singing his praises. I checked out the reviews and finally decided to give him shot. I was very happy I did! Ellis was extremely personable, down-to-earth, and took care of the matter. When I wanted to pick up the car on a day he wasn't open, he was about to say he could assist in that, though I didn't want to disrespect his off-time that way. That did, however, show me that he cares about his customers. He fixed her car on time and under budget. I think I've found a new backpocket mechanic. I've already told all of my friends and family. Thanks, Ellis!UPDATE: I've taken two other cars to Ellis (MyMechanic). Both times have been terrific. Thanks, Ellis!

Went in to get my window motor replaced as it broke on my Honda Accord. Fixed it fast and changed the oil on my car as well. Also found a coolant leak that happened to be the water pump going out. Will definitely be coming back to get my car serviced by him. Honest through and great mechanic.

I can't stand going to large dealerships, but until now I figured it was safer as far as not getting a bad deal from a unscrupulous lone auto mechanic. This time around I chose My Mechanic in Bixby, because my dealership was 2 weeks out before they could look at my car. My car couldn't wait 2 weeks. My Mechanic got a transmission issue turned around in a couple days and the charge was cheaper than I would have paid at the dealership when you consider what I would have paid for a 2-3 week car rental, parts, and their outrageous labor charge. Eat your heart out big dealership service departments, I'll be taking my business to My Mechanic going forward!!

Ellis @ My Mechanic was honest and respectful. Gave us a realistic time frame to work with, did exactly what he promised to do without upselling us a thing or moving the goal posts. If you want a competent and reasonable mechanic, My Mechanic is your guy.

We had our car towed there after it wouldn't start in the driveway. The gentlemen sent an estimate vi txt message online before doing any work and looked at my wife's vehicle and analyzed saying it was def a starter issue,, we decided to do something else with the vehicle because we are planning on just getting another vehicle + he discovered it coud start off and on as well. Didn't charge us to look it at . I Don'pt look forward to HAVING to go back to a car mechanic because ,you know ,there's something wrong with the car, but f there's something wrong with one of my vehicles again I'd definetly head over there to this courteous mechanic that helped me and my wife with diagnosing this problem . Much appreciated and would go get my car(s) fixed over there if the need arises again or is in dire need.

I believe his name is Eddie. This man took very good care of us. He took the time to drop what he was doing to look at our truck and give us an honest answer of what we needed to do to fix it. Definitely will go back to him!

I thought I had an electrical problem with my dads old Dodge Ram since I once found a rats nest under the hood. The truck would lose charge after 3 weeks of using jumper cables. I had it at 5 or 6 mechanics to no avail. My last hope was My Mechanic. He found that the tiny light in the glove department stayed on since the plastic doo dad thats supposed turn light off wasn't making contact because the glove department was so loose. Truck drives great now. Thanks for being so thorough Ellis.

Ellis is the old-fashioned type of mechanic who takes time to find what is really wrong with your car and suggest a fairly-priced fix, as opposed to the "big box" car shops who seem to just want to slap a bandaid on the problem and move you along so they can get to the next car.I HIGHLY recommend Ellis. He is My Mechanic.

Had the ball joints go out on my Tacoma. Ellis was courtesy, called and provided updates and final cost. Orders factory OEM parts, you don't find that at the bigger shops. Highly recommended, would have friends and family go here rather than the chain mechanic shops.

TL;DR - Do not take your car here. Terrible mechanic. They put a bad starter in my car and overcharged me for it. They knew they didn't fix my car, but took my money anyway. Were rude, and unapologetic.Where do I begin.. So randomly one night my car wouldn't start, Ive been having issues with the starter for years, so I guess it finally gave out, it was making this weird 'wurring' sound when the key was turned.. So the next morning (Friday) while Im at work I call this place (My Mechanic) because it had good Yelp reviews and was the closest one to my house.. And the guy answers and tells me that he could get it looked at and possibly fixed that day and to go ahead and bring my car in.. So after taking off work and paying $70 bucks to get it towed there, we have a chat and I tell him the car probably needs a new starter. He goes to try to start the car and comes back and says "I don't normally charge a diagnostic fee, but Im gonna have to charge it to you cause Ive never heard a sound like that before." .. Now already Im seeing red flags cause why would you tell a customer "I don't normally charge a diagnostic fee but I'm going to charge YOU!".. and why would you need to diagnose the problem when I already said I need a new starter!? But I had to get back to work and the car was already there so I went with it.. Anyway, I call a few hours later and the guy tells me that not only has he NOT looked at it, but he wont be able to look at it until Monday.. Great.. So now I have to get a rental car for the weekend! Thanks for that, I could have taken it elsewhere and saved some cash!So Monday comes along and he tells me that YEP I need a new starter ( Duh..) and quotes me on the higher end of a starter rate (Around $400).. Its a 2000 Altima.. Its old.. The quoted rate was probably worth more then what my car was.. But.. Im just like "Fine, get it fixed".. Thankfully, he finished it that day. So both me and my wife take off work again to go pick up the car and he tells me that they replaced the starter. So I sign some paperwork and pay them.. And this is where is gets worse.. After he takes my money and hands me the keys he says "Oh, and just to let you know, its making a weird noise when you start it.' .. Wait wait wait!! Aren't YOU guys supposed to fix the "weird noises"!? Then he yaks on about something with the flywheel and transmission and how he doesn't deal with those things so I "need to take it somewhere else to get that fixed".. WHAT!? That would have been NICE TO KNOW before I agreed to have THEM fix it!! I could have just gone somewhere else and had them fix everything at one time!! But again this was all told to me AFTER they had my money.. So I go out to my "fixed" car to see what this weird noise is he is talking about.. As soon as I turn the key the car makes this AWFUL GRINDING sound!! It was ANNOYINGLY LOUD!! My car had NEVER made a noise like that before!! And also the Check Engine light was on.. That wasn't on before! But hey, it started! At this point I didn't want these guys touching my car anymore so a few days later I took my car to a different mechanic to get it looked at and get the grinding noise (THAT MY MECHANIC CAUSED) fixed.. And the new mechanics tell me that there is nothing wrong with the flywheel or the transmission and also "Whoever worked on your car last PUT IN A BAD STARTER".. So the new mechanics fixed my car CORRECTLY and for less than $250 and it started up and ran PERFECTLY.. No thanks to My Mechanic. And when I contacted My Mechanic about the problem and told them about the bad starter, they brushed it off rudely and just said "Sorry No Refunds".. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY!! GO ELSEWHERE!!

Had a great experience. The owner was kind, he explained my issue though i didn't feel like he was talking down to me. He told me when he expected to be done and it was. And, most importantly to me, I didn't feel like he was trying to up-sell me on anything.
