Our daughter was driving back to Cincinnati and her check engine light came on and Croghan s was the closest service station off the I-71 exit. I called and talked to James, explained the situation, and he said they would take care of her when she arrived. They did a diagnostic test on the car, told her it was safe to drive once she got back home, and told her they just wanted her get back to Cincinnati safely. What a professional and courteous group! I m from Buffalo and driving down to Tennessee to go visit family. While on I - 71 South I had started to feel shaking in my vehicle during accelerating past 60 mph. Had come off the highway to look for repair shops near me. Noticed great reviews (which were all true) and clean looking shop. Called them, brought it to them and they were absolutely amazing. Could not have asked but a better experience for a not so great of situation. Wonderful employees and owner, treated my dogs like royalty by bringing them water. Wish there was more places like this one. Cannot express how thankful I am for how fast they diagnosed the problem to taking care of the entire situation. Friendly and treated us like neighbors. Have never had such great customer especially at a repair shop.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

I hit an animal on the way back from Columbus late one night. My car overheated and I had to pull over in the freezing cold. The tow truck driver recommended we take my car to Croghan since it was close to the accident. I was scared at first since Ive never heard of this place. I had absolutely no reason to be scared. Jim was awesome. His shop did an amazing job, he kept me in touch the whole way with constant emails and when I showed up he even showed me exactly what was wrong. I wish I lived closer otherwise I d take my vehicles to him every time. If you live in the area, you need to bring him your vehicles, you won t regret it.

Jim Croghan (owner) is the only mechanic around that I trust or will go to. Known for years, he has always been honest, trustworthy, and makes only repairs that is required or requested. His whole staff are also polite and friendly. Mr Croghan keeps up with all the new auto systems by going to continuing education classes that the parts and manufacturing companies put on. As with all repair shops, Croghans is not the cheapest, but with his integrity, you won't be over charged or charged for items not needed and the work will be done right the first time. Jim Croghan is also very good about explaining what the problem is and how the best way for it to be repaired. He will also take as much time with his customers as needed.

My Honda Fit broke down heading north on 71. Really terrible situation with a 10 month old in the car. The good part is that the closest mechanic was Croghan AutoCare. He fixed the problem (spark plug shot out of the engine, taking a chunk of it with it) at a really reasonable rate. This alone was worthy of 5 stars, but later that month I took my second car (Honda Civic) into a chain mechanic store because my AC was not working. They quoted $1700 to replace the whole AC system. Since I live in Columbus it is harder to get to Croghan, but I called him up and he said he would take a look. He explained the actual issue and $400 later my AC was fix. I will be taking my cars to Croghan from now on for regular checkups. Croghan I believe specializes in domestic cars, but he had no issue working with my Hondas.

The Croghan team was responsible for the rebuilt of my 1987 Corvette. The team thoroughly communicated my cars needs and consistently met my expectations. I highly recommend this team from daily maintenance to performance work. Thanks again!

Caught in the middle of Columbus and Cincinnati, I cannot say enough about how this team treated my truck with sincere urgency, transparency, and expertise. Everything about my unfortunate visit exceeded expectations (from communication to cost), and the bar has officially been set high for all other auto shops to attain. Thanks Croghan and team!

Croghan autocare came to the rescue as my family was stranded along I-71 with a DEF fault in our truck and a trailer load of livestock. In about an hour, the problem was resolved and we were back on the road. Can't say enough about their exceptional service, great response time, while remaining affordable. There are still good people in this world and Croghan autocare definitely fits the bill. Even received a text message later that day making sure we got home okay. Can't say enough about Croghan AutoCare!! Thanks so much!!

Great service! No pressure and they explained everything to me. Price was within the initial, over the phone estimate since I knew exactly what I needed when I called, too. Very grateful to the Croghan crew! Highly recommended, they'll treat you right.

Very knowledgeable fast and friendly.My truck broke down in Wilmington Ohio while at the World Equestrian Center. The guys at Croghan Auto Care we're fast, amazingly helpful and were able to get me back on the road and three days.

I broke down on my way home from a family vacation and lucky for me croghan auto care was the closest place so i had my vehicle towed there i was a little nervous because you never know who you can trust with your vehicle care but wow was i surprised and amazed by the expertise and helpfulness of the croghan auto care staff, Jim was very very helpful he would call me and explain what they had found that day and detailed out the pricing and what it would cost to proceed the next day and what it entailed, he also gave me multiple options on how i wanted to proceed i can not say enough great things about the croghan family. They are wonderful people and i am very thankful, I wish you where located in the town i live in because they are hands down the best at their jobs!!

I can't say enough good things about Croghan. My check engine light came on and they did a quick job of diagnosing and explaining what was going on and getting Mr back on the road.. Highly recommend!

Jim Croghan and his team came highly recommended by 2 friends from work and I wasn't disappointed. He takes the time to listen to the problem, do a complete inspection then gives you all the possible options including the estimated costs. He s never exceeded any estimate he gave me and the work is top notch.

I originally started taking our cars to Jim because he's my neighbor, but I would continue to bring repairs to him even if he wasn't. He will fix things right, and won't try to gouge you on the price. It's a rare thing to be able to say that you completely trust a mechanic, but I completely trust Jim.

My windshield wipers stopped working on interstate and I'm not from the area. I looked up and went there hoping they could fix it immediately. I received a great welcome and understanding I needed back on road asap. They found the issue, had part delivered from nearby napa store and had me out the door in 45mins total time from arrival. It was incredible. I can't thank them enough. I would use this auto shop as my regular service center if I was from the area no question with the friendly people and great service.

If anyone around the Wilmington area ever has car needs, I highly recommend these guys. They do an excellent job and if you have a budget in mind, they do their best to get that price for you as well.
