bought a minivan years ago from here, drove it for well over 100,000 miles with no major issues. so when it was time to get a car for my son, we had no worries going back to Mike. sorry for taking your "baby" away from you!!! just got back from a trip through the mountains of Virginia, the Jag handled it great!

Mike has worked with us when we were really in need of a car. he worked with the price and got us in to a car that day. Any issues with the car he did help take care of even though all the cars are As Is. On our current van its got over 200k miles and still runs strong. He has helped me get my credit up and keep me on the road, If you need a car and want to work with a good caring person go here.

I've known the dealer (Mike Dougherty) for 10 years. My parents purchased two cars from him and I have purchased three. He gives you the best price possible and works with your payments. I am a college student so I was looking for someone who could help me build my credit and also a place where I wouldn't need a cosigner! He takes any form of credit. He's honest and takes care of his customers!

I'm leaving this review for my mother. She bought a car from here approximately 7-9 months ago . Had to have an O2 sensor put in it which is no big deal because when you buy something used I believe you may have to put a little money in it so she wasn't worried about it . A few days after that it wouldn't start, called Mike & he went where the car was (Meijer Hilliard Rome Road) & attempted to jump it . It wouldn't jump & he paid a tow truck to to haul it to his shop, took her home, put a new starter in it . It had a new starter but was faulty. He then dropped the car back off to her the next day, repaired & haven't had a single issue with it since. He not only dealt with the car at no cost to her, but worked with her enough on the price when she bought it so that way she could afford to buy it outright. She's very impressed with Mikes customer service & with the car itself (2005 Ford Five Hundred). Whenever I need another car, I will go to Mike as well & whenever she needs another car, she'll be going back to Mike again. So, thank you Mike, on her behalf .

They helped us build and repair our credit! My wife and I have had several great car purchases in years past with Michael and Sherry, and in fact have referred several individuals who needed dependable vehicles at affordable prices. They are people of integrity and they make it very clear that these cars are sold "AS-IS". Even so, when we have had troubles with our cars, as all used cars will eventually need repairs or work, they worked with us as my income fluctuates and car issues rarely happen when you have savings stored up in the bank. Regardless, just like any other car company, if you make your payments on time and take care of the car, you probably won't be tempted to come online and blame someone else for your own mis-use or neglect. I would recommend these people to my kids, my parents and grandparents because I know when something goes wrong with a used car, it's best to be working with good people who will work with you to keep you on the road. They also helped us repair and build our credit. After we purchased and successfully made our payments for 2 years on 2 different cars, we were able to buy a newer family mini van from a larger dealer at a much lower rate, because Michael set up frequent payments to help improve our credit. The bottom line is - if someone is complaining anonymously, as all of these other negative reviews have done, then it's very likely that they didn't take care of the car and are just looking to blame someone else for their own failure or neglect. I gladly endorse Dougherty car sales for anyone looking to work with good people, working to build their credit, or trying to find an affordable vehicle for a friend or family member on a tight budget.

Let's hope Karma comes around to get this guy. Pathetic. Notice the only good reviews are people he's known for years.. of course he isn't going to sell them a LEMON. Yeah... you're buying a used car.. but if you want it to run more than a couple days, don't go here! When you buy something used you don't expect to have to junk it right away. Most of his cars belong in the Junk pile. BUYER BEWARE.. if you don't know the guy.. STAY AWAY. Lies upon Lies. Makes me sick to see anyone call this guy "honorable" .. People like this always get what's coming to them in the end. No integrity whatsoever.. even for a used car sales man! How does he live with himself? Douche

Chances are, if you did not like this dealer, you are blaming him for things that are your fault and you are unwilling to take responsibility for it. You are buying used cars, not new, people. He is a great guy with lots of integrity. It is a shame people are trying to give him a bad name. Look in the mirror!

I agree with both these reviews. Had a very bad experience with this jerk. Can't say much because I am in the middle of a case against him. But I really hope these reviews help someone thinking about purchasing a car here. He puts junk on the lot, riggers it up just right then you'll be having it towed back there putting crazy amounts into trying to fix it. It's really sad people putting their hard earned money into this.. Really disgusting human, no conscience.After MANY tow costs and part repairs he finally claimed that the car was not fixable and that he would have to "JUNK" it. Well... the very same car i bought was back on the lot within a month... HE DIDNT JUNK IT. Sad part is... He sold it to another poor person. :( I pass by there EVERYDAY on my way to work. Whoever bought it again after me.. Is having troubles now because within the first week i saw it with a temporary tag back at his garage.THIS MAN NEEDS TO BE STOPPED AND PUT OUT OF BUSINESS!!I know there are several other cases.. this man thinks he can get it over on everyone. It's a shame. I hope he messes with the wrong one and gets whats coming to him!! For all us hard working people who have been scammed by this pitiful used car scammer!

Very thankful for Dougherty Auto. Bought a car and immediately there was an issue. They took the car and made everything right and then some!! Even still made sure to be there when I needed it looked at it had questions (for free). I felt like part of a family. Thank you Doughertry!

There were SOOOO MANY THINGS WRONG with the truck! I had to give it back, the same day the car was back up for sale!!!! So DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!! I can't believe u guys would even do that, there are sooo many things wrong with the truck....I really hope you guys don't sell it to a family that's desperate.
