Our auto and home insurance (with an umbrella policy) is with Buckeye Insurance Group thru Block Insurance Agency. My wife and I purchased a home in April of 2023. After taking possession of the home we found that there were raccoons in the attic! We were horrified and wanted the raccoons out immediately. We hired Orkin to remove the raccoons and all of the attic insulation. They were to seal off any raccoon entry points to the attic.They would then clean and sanitize the attic before blowing in new insulation. The cost for the entire job was about $10K! Since we owned the house when the raccoons were discovered the previous owners had no liability. After a lot of discussion with Block Insurance, Buckeye Insurance, and the previous home owners insurance agent, we submitted a claim on our home owners insurance policy with Buckeye. The claim was denied because Buckeye Insurance does not cover damage caused by "varmints" and their definition of varmints includes raccoons. This costly damage to our home is one of the main reasons why we thought we had insurance but Buckeye Insurance would not cover any of it.The insurance agent for the previous home owners stated that Buckeye should have covered it and that his agency would have covered it if the previous home owners were liable for the damage.

Always professional service, starting with a prompt and friendly greeting....Great vibe..Every time I visit this Agency, it keeps looking nicer and nicer, and feels cosier and cosier.. I don't know how they do it!! Definitely a wonderful atmosphere, for conducting business!!
