While driving on I 70 going west into Columbus, I had a flat tire while in the left lane. I was able to get over to the left, get the spare put on and drive toward home. I immediately stopped at Accel Automotive and Tire in Vandalia, just before they were closing. The gal at the desk was able to schedule me in, the next day to have four new tires put on, as the other 3 needed replacement, and while it was a Saturday with shorten hours I was able to come back the following week and get my alignment. The staff was friendly, helpful, let me know exactly what it was going to cost, and got me back on the road again! I would you their services again in an instant.Services: Wheel alignment, Auto tire replacement

Had a 2pm appointment to diagnose an issue with my car. Got there at 1:45pm and could not even get into the parking lot. Drove around the block for 15 minutes hoping they would move cars and trucks parked blocking the entrances. Still could not get in. Decided to go elsewhere. Seems they may be scheduling or taking in more business then they are able to handle.UPDATE: So your response to a customer is to tell them it is their fault? That is what I would call stellar customer service. And then the sarcasm in the "Calling us would have taken less time then typing this review" let's me know that putting the customer first may not be in your vocabulary. Let me help you a bit. The correct response would have been. " We apologize for the inconvenience. We would like to reschedule you if possible so we can make this right." Had you done that, I would have removed the bad review.So next time you feel the urge to be condescending to a customer, maybe you should read this reply and educate yourself on what the words customer service actually mean.

I was driving home from a prenatal appointment on I-75 north - with still an hour left before I reach home, when my tire light came on. After a less then pleasant experience with another automotive center just down the road, the gentlemen at Goodyear were saints! I came in, clearly pregnant, with my 2 toddlers, upset about the van as I was pretty far from home with no one I could call to assist me - as my husband was 3 hours north for the day. Despite clearly being busy, they pulled one of their mechanics off his current job to have him check out the van. After using soapy water, looking for any sign of possible debris in the tires, and checking tire pressure - they pulled out a gadget to check the tire sensors and reassured me that my tires are perfectly fine and safe to continue home with and to call my mechanic as my tire sensor in my front left tire had gone out and needed replaced - that s the reason for the tire light popping on and blinking for a bit before staying on solidly. The experience here was phenomenal- they seemed to really care about making sure me and my kids were safe to get home and that I was reassured that I could the hour trek home without worrying that me and the kids were going to get stranded on the side of the highway.

I've taken my Camry in for synthetic oil changes and a full brake job at Accel. I highly recommend their services and hope we continue to support this business as a community. I am grateful for affordable pricing, and the personal level of detail over multiple visits. They even reattached my wheel guard, for no charge, after a heavy rain during a road trip in Michigan. Thanks for your honest efforts, Accel family!

Needed new tires, and was given quotes for 4 different ones. When I determined which would be the best for my car, I called, tires were ordered and was able to schedule an appointment. Great service, trustworthy, and personable! What a difference in how the car rides! Thank you Accel Automotive, I am a happy customer.

I was told by the VW dealership that my electrical harness was going out. My car started to die mid-drive. I took it to Accel and got it re-diagnosed. Turned out to be just my shift crank sensor and nothing too serious. They also did a fantastic oil change and transmission service. Great service, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Will definately use them again.

Phenomenal service. After sitting in the waiting room and listening to several of Kelly's phone conversations, I've determined that he missed his true calling as a therapist. I recently had new tires installed here, and I am happy with the service I received. The staff members were very professional, and answered my questions I had about the tires I purchased. The waiting area was neat and orderly, so I did not mind waiting for service. I'd actually say 4.5 stars or so if I could. Only issues have been they can be a little slow at times (I get it was bc they had staff call in sick or some such...so not a huge deal), and when they changed my cabin filter and found a mouse nest in it, they didn't check for debris falling into the fan...so I had to bring it back again the next day to get that cleaned out bc it was making some pretty scary noises. No extra charge, just an inconvenience that could've been avoided if they had checked for that when they found the chewed up, leaf covered filter in the first place when they pulled it out. Overall, I've been really happy with their service and prices. Also nice that they take pride in their service and do followup calls as well as service reminders to ensure customers are well taken care of.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Oil change

Had our son s 2013 Kia Optima in for service to replace front brakes and rotors. The staff at Accel Automotive were professional and helpful. They were quick in making the appointment and to evaluate the issue we were having. They responded with a suggested plan to fix the our vehicle with a reasonable price. I never felt pressured to buy anything more than what we brought the car in for. They were informative, fast and professional. Car severly out of alignment 3 days before vacation. Spoke to Brian, got us in asap, next day at 11:00 a.m., received a courtesy text reminding us of the appt. Then Genny-I think that's her name, called us to tell it's done-Super nice, she said they also found a low battery on tire pressure, as an FYI. Then got a follow up text from Jamey checking on our satisfaction. The alignment was perfect and the price was very reasonable. Great experience, feel like they do their best to fix your car right.

I absolutely love taking my car here to get my maintenance done! I ve never had an issue with any work that has been done on either one of my cars! On top of that all of the employees are extremely nice and explain everything very well! I highly recommend this place for all of your cars needs!

Second attempt to use this local automotive service. First time simple oil change and fluid fill- was at billing attempted a sale on NEED new tires on less than 2 year old tires.Second vehicle needed new tires installed with alignment- same day. Give an hour. At closing said could not complete but ready next day at 1PM. Called to check at 1:15- was told technician not available and could not do the install and alignment. Wa snot offered to have another Accel do the work- had to quickly pick up vehicle and take to another repair shop to have done same day! Bad business practice. Have encountered several issues on my vehicles that were out side of my ability or time allowance. Accel always get my car back to me really fast and everyone there has been great to work with. This is where I take my cars for anything I'm not able to do on my end. Excellent communications. Great notices via text that help me schedule around my busy calendar. I took a difficult alignment job to them and they worked with me to correct the issue. The car drives and handles excellent now. The shop is conveniently located seconds off of I-75 and within walking distance to many places to eat while waiting for the work needed if you choose. Did i mention they have very competitive prices, best I found in the North Dayton area!

Steve is the guy to deal with. He's been at this place for years through the few changes they've made with company owners. He in my opinion is what has kept them alive being a familiar face behind the service counter. The service advisor Stacy is a good honest person to work with too. Update to the review August 28, 2023 I had new tires put on my truck and they did excellent work. The old review was for the previous owners. This is for the latest owners.
