My vehicle broke down and I had it towed to Lloyd's. I wish there were more businesses who cares for their customers like Lee does! Absolutely down to earth, honest, and caring. Thank you for all of your help! You truly went above and beyond.

Went in for a battery change. He checked if it was even a good battery to replace. Just the extra mile for that was more than enough. Then such thorough, knowledgeable, and speedy service made them my number one in town.

They were fast efficient and professional!! I called with a serious issue, even though they were busy they sqeezed me in to ensure my safety in my vehicle!! I'm so pleased!! Will be returning for more auto care!!

Great people great service once again Lee and boys and girls did an outstanding job very knowledgeable on Cara very nice people I'm tellin ya folks for a guy 200 Mike's away from home had to take it there twice for 2 diffrent issues I had they did it right the 1st time these people at loyds auto service are the real deal for sure beat mechanics and service in the state of Ohio for sure I appreciate what they did ill be always appreciative for how they helped me and didn't screw me over inflate the price and very very honest..be a fool to take ur vehicle somewere else than loyds God bless u folks ur great people and I Tha k u once again for helping an out if towner out

I can't being to say enough great things about the place. Our daughters car broke down near Van Wert and the towing service took her car here. They treated her like family! They made the necessary repairs (broken coolant hose) and had her back on the road quickly and at a VERY reasonable price! I wish I lived closer as I would take all of my vehicles to Lloyd's for service!

I can not recommend Lloyd's enough! Van Wert is lucky to an honest, good hearted, and great mechanic in town. If it wasn't almost two hours away from where I live, it would be the only place I would take my car. They did a great job on my car, saved the day for me when things could have gone really badly. They worked really hard to deal with the warranty people and even gave me a better warranty when they were done. Don't think twice...take your car to Lloyd's!Service: Engine repair

Great customer service from the time I made the initial call for an estimate until I picked up my vehicle. I had initially taken my car to a local dealership who told me repairs would be over $600. When I went to pick up my vehicle, Lee told me that a part that the dealership said needed replaced was in perfectly good condition...he saved me around $400! It was so refreshing to do business with an honest shop and it's obvious Lloyd's cares about the quality of work they do and their customer service. I will be getting all of my work done there going forward!

I was looking for a reliable local repair shop when I came across Lloyd's Auto Service which had great reviews.I needed a couple of estimates on my car to start off with and Deb got me in pretty quickly to get me checked out.The service was good and the prices were reasonable. This is where I will be taking my car from now on!

This auto repair shop is top notch. The workmenship is beyond the best! Did great job on my custom muffler addition on my 65 C10. Will go back for any additional repairs in the future. You can count on that!!!!

Lloyd's service team does a great job. Lee is super honest and has been my car go to guy for years.. Deb who works the desk knows her stuff and super friendly!! Love the vw bug atmosphere

INTEGRITY HONESTY AND KINDNESSWE WERE STRANDED! Not really, but almost. We were on our way home(400 +miles to go)from a road trip hauling a collectible on a pull behind trailer. Our truck and trailer developed a vibration and we came to the conclusion we have a bad tire.I found Lloyd's on Googlemaps, called them and Deb was kind, gave me directions how to get there, avoiding mainstream traffic.Lee, the owner took the time to look and explain what the problem was(tire was about to blow out), and changed our tire.Lee was personable, knowledgeable, considerate, fair, and one I would recommend to anyone for any tire or car problems you may have. Lee will do the job right and he makes you feel at home.So if you're stranded or about to be, look Lee up. You won't be disappointed!!

When was the last time you heard the words describing a mechanic plus owner operator of a business as being: personable, reliable, informative, knowledgeabke and very cost-friendly.I had my car to three local auto repair shops of which all three gave me estimates of over $2,000 for repairing parts on my car.Was told about Lloyd's stop by told me to come back at 10:00 on the day after,. within minutes after I got there he had my car on the lift, had me under the car with him, showed me and told me what he was doing and what he was looking for verifying or disqualifying the estimates that I had received for repairs to my car by the 3 other large chain facilities.You would never believe The estimates were off by over $1,900 it cost me $199 to put my car back in good shape for one single motor mount when I had been quoted I needed nine and most if the suspension.Trust me, I do my homework I'm not ignorant when it comes to mechanics, and this guy, Lloyd, is absolutely the best in Polk County and I have been here for 40 years.He also does the reprogramming and/or replacing of these new high-tech keys to your cars when the dealer wants $600 give or take a few hundred, depending on your vehicle, Lloyd can do most of them $100 or less.What do you got to lose, except for money? You better give him a call before you go anywhere else unless you're under a warranty somewhere or you like throwing good money after bad.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical

I cannot endorse Lloyd's enough. My 1995 EuroVan camper broke down in town during a trip and after a couple local recommendations to use Lloyd's, we crossed our fingers and dropped her off during a holiday weekend. We went on our way and hoped that Lloyd's was as good as folks said they were.They weren't able to fix our vehicle (blew the engine) but they went above and beyond to contact the nearest dealership, agreed to store the van while we worked out repairs with them. When that fell through, Deb and Lee were really really great and kept Diana safe and sound (even as they resurfaced their parking lot) until we could find a reliable shipper (went through four I do believe) to ship her to a mechanic who could replace the engine. They kept us informed, advocated for us to the shipping company, and were just all around the most helpful people throughout the entire stressful process (which took 2.5 months ultimately).Almost wish we would break down in Van Wert again....almost.

Lloyd's deserves every bit of 5 stars. We were heading back to Georgia when our car completely died at 5 in the morning. They showed exceptional customer service, drove us and our young children across town to McDonald's to wait and had us back on the road within two hours (replaced an alternator and battery). We expected a hefty bill but it was more than fair!! Wish we lived in Ohio so Lee could have all our business!

I requested an estimate on a disabled transmission. It was promptly provided and although the vehicle's condition was such that it was not cost effective to replace the transmission, there was no charge and staff were very helpful and courteous in disposing of the car.

I would not recommend this Auto shop. I went there for there great reviews but was very disappointed. On my first visit they replaced my pads and rotors and did a transmission fluid change and oil change the estimate was 750$ and was correct and seemed to do a great job with great customer service. Went back a second time because of a check engine light after 660$ they said it was fixed went and picked it up after hours and it ran worse then when I took it there. Took it back the next week and they looked at it again and said it was something else and it was 60$ to fix ended up being 160$ which would have been fine but it still had a check engine light on and ran terrible. Was told that it would be another 1000$ at least for them to look into it further. This is on a 2012 Chevy Malibu I also had to take it back 3 months later because of break issues.

Can not recommend this place enough! The starter went out on my car and left me stranded at a local business. Called Lloyds and Lee put me in touch with a AAA tow truck company. Even though the parking lot was full of cars needing repaired, Lee fit me in saving me from being left without a car over the weekend. Lee and his staff were above and beyond professional and so friendly. If you're looking for professional service, very friendly staff, and very reasonable prices, Lloyds Auto Repair is definitely the place to go!!

Absolutely the best garage around! Super friendly service! My husband is in Van Wert working for the next few weeks and we live in Pennsylvania. One of his brake lines broke, they took my husband back to his hotel, fixed the truck, and picked him back up to take him to the garage. They even fixed his phone for him, lol, he doesn't know his cell number by heart. We were expecting a large bill but it was amazingly small! I picked Lloyd's because of the reviews here and they are dead on! Can't ask for better service than Lloyd's Auto Service. Thank you so much!!!

My car wasn't done on time, and they never called me to tell me it wouldn't be done. I had to call them and ask about my car. It was done a day late, I missed work and still had to pay full price! Just because this guy is nice on the phone doesn't mean he really cares. Don't tell someone that their car will be done when it won't be. At least call the customer! They made it up to me the next day by taking $50 off my bill.

The best overall auto service anywhere. I was just starting my long trip back home and was stranded by a raccoon. The car had lost the belt and damaged a pulley. Lee checked it out, found the parts, even though it took some time, because of the car I have, but was able to get me back on the road that day. I was truly amazed at the above average rate of service, even with me being an out-of-stater. This is the best service place in all of Ohio. Thanks for everything Lee. Any car, any part, no problem at all.

Perfect balance of professional service and small town charm. I went to Lloyd s for emergency service when my van broke down while I was passing through town. They were great to work with. I wish I lived closer. I would come here for all of my auto repair needs.

My husband is working in Van Wert, Ohio and his vehicle broke down. These people are awesome!!! They followed him in his vehicle in case he broke down and met at the shop. They looked at it and told him the cost to fix it (which was more than the vehicle was worth). They were just amazing!!! Need a vehicle fixed??? These guys are GREAT!!!

I wish I can give them a small donation of a million dollars!, was traveling to Atlanta and my brakes failed. Found this people and even it was their closing time, they took my car in and did an awesome job! Must visit this place and support your local businesses.

Lee and his team are the best in the business. They have the best business practices and have the highest ethics around. If they tell you how much a repair is, that is how much the repair is. They do not sugar coat anything, they let you know what they recommend. Do not doubt their ability to diagnose any problem, they have the experience. Even if we move to a different state, we will continue to do business with Lee and his team because in the auto repair field, you cannot find anyone as honest as Llyod's Auto Service. If you have not figured this out by now, I highly recommend you take your vehicle(s) here to get your service needs done. And no, they did not ask me, or pay me, or give me anything to write this review.

I contacted Lloyd's Auto Service after finding what appeared to be an antifreeze leak in my 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. Lee was able to work me in quickly & much to my dismay, he informed me that I needed a new radiator. None were available until the next day so Lee supplied me with enough antifreeze to get home & then back for the repair. My car was done on time as promised & the bill was as quoted. They also did an inspection on my car & let me know there were a few things that needed my attention that could be potential safety hazards. I would recommend Lloyd's Auto Service to anyone. Especially if you are looking for professional, reliable, honest service.
