Convenient, quick and excellent service! I went in to attach my DOT medical card and Amanda noticed that my license was due to expire on my birthday this year. And I never would ve paid that any attention when purchasing my yearly stickers at the grocery store kiosk on my birthday I was able to attach my DOT and renew my license is less than 15 minutes! I really appreciate her attention to detail. A lifesaver!

Seems like they don t know how to do their job. Once you call the one 1 800 number and they tell you exactly what to ask for and go back they still want to insist that they don t do that until they go to the back and ask somebody else and all the sudden they do. After that, they still manage to mess up what you asked for. Would not recommend this location.

0 min wait time, renewed my tags, walked in and out in 5 min. Friendly customer service but fast paced delivery. Always appreciate the kindness and efficiency of this BMV.

Went to get my license renewed this morning. I got there at 8:15 and they had just opened. They took my name and asked me to wait in the hallway for social distancing which was totally fine. The lady was pretty rude but whatever so I took my seat. About 2 minutes later she came and told me it would be a 45 minute wait or longer. I looked around... there were only two other people there and they had just come in. I told her that I would have to come back later because I had to be somewhere else at 9. I asked if I could make an appointment for later. I got her rude attitude that they don t take appointments. So I simply said okay and got up to leave. She turned around and told the lady after me to come on in. Seriously??? I have to wait 45 minutes or more and the person behind me (who was renewing a license also) gets to go right in. The only reason I gave her 1 star is because there were social distance practices in place. Customer service on this day a big fat zero.

Minimum wait time. Very courteous and friendly. We got our new license plates in less than ten minutes from the time we walked in until we walked out. Great!

Garbage. Manager gave out bad information regarding extended expiration date of temp tags. Him and his staff told me my tags are good until July and doubled down on this info when I questioned him. They are not good until the extended deadline of July since they expire after the deadline. Good thing I confirmed with another office otherwise I could have got a ticket for expired tags! To make matters worse this manager was talking unprofessional about a customer after he left in front of a bunch of people. He was loudly gossiping about how much money the guy made to the staff member next to him, whom was not wearing her mask for the 45 minute duration of my visit. Very unprofessional office.

Usually pretty fast in and out for all your license needs. With Covid they come out and take your name and make sure you are social distancing. They are wiping everything down after you touch it. The employees are warm, knowledgeable and welcoming.

Always go the Urbana one, friendly and fast. I hate going the Springfield one. Not very friendly people and always so slow

The staff was very helpful and friendly. They had masks and were good at cleaning areas and equipment between people. I appreciated their kind manner.

they were extremely slow. They ask for you to check in on line to reduce your wait. Checked in and still waited over 45 minutes. Got 2 stars because they were friendly. That saved them from a 1 star!

No enforcement of social distancing. In the spring they only allowed a certain amount of people in at a time. Today while the county is RED. They allowed the people to pack in the office like sardines. Sure they had masks and spots on the floor to mark 6 feet. But no one was using those spots except for myself. A HIGH RISK. ELDERLY PERSON. I guess if I get Covid I will know who to blame.

Supervisor Debbie is regretfully ignorant for a branch manager. I visited the Urbana Department of motor vehicles to be issued a compliant Ohio driver's license. One of the requirements for issuing this document is a copy of your birth certificate. The birth certificate I presented has been used for issuing my commercial driver's license, a reprint of my social security card, and every form of ID I have ever been issued. Debbie claimed that this document is not an official birth certificate, and refused to accept it as proof of birth. She issued me a line pass, and directed me to the building next door to have a new birth certificate issued. I did as instructed, waited over 30 minutes in line only to find out they can issue only birth certificates from the state of Ohio, & because I was born out of state I would have to contact my birth state to get the proper documentation. A little investigative questioning would have saved me over an hour in line, and a lot of frustration. Upon returning 2 weeks later with the new document, I presented Debbie with her own handwritten line pass, which she promptly denied! She said the line pass system was for same day only. I will not be visiting this branch again. It's supervisors like Debbie that give the department of motor vehicles a bad name, way to represent your brand girl!

Working on getting my metal plates.. but there's an issue with my husband's license so need him off the title.. there's was misconception with the dealership so the BMV was as helpful as they could be and Rebecca even was able to lend me a phone so I appreciate them going above what they normally do by letting me use their phone and even looking up the dealerships number through the good of phone book. Just waiting on the corrected title and trying back at the BMV today for me to get these plates just under my name so I hope to God things go smoothly.. ;) * WILL UPDATE **

Friendly staff - very helpful - and yes they are very busy and there are long lines, but that is the case with any OBMV you go to, especially certain months of the year.

Even with Covid, they are quick. Only 45min total. But you can book online and shorten you wait
