I started going here a few years ago when business was not busy. Ben took care of all my auto repair needs. Since the business has become busier I have had issues. Had a complete brake job done which cost over $500 and was never right. The first time I took it back, they said it was a bad caliper they missed. So, I paid another $250. Got home and brakes were even worse. Took. It back again and they said they had to do some adjustments. Got home again and it was still wrong! I m sorry to say I will not be returning for repairs. I had a new shop complete repairs today and breaks are great.!Good luck with your business Ben

The entire staff is amazing. They are all very friendly and knowledgeable. I feel confident they are only fixing what needs to be fixed, and they are not adding non necessary repairs on.

My new go to place for repairs since no one should be buying new in this market....They have done all the repairs above what I want to do in my garage from a very not fun bloody knuckle timing belt\water pump on an eclipse GT to a clutch on my Mustang. Their labor prices are really fair and I don't need to shop for other quotes.

I bought a Toyota and wasn t sure where to take it. They did an excellent job replacing the water pump, timing belt and thermostat. I will be using them for everything as they were honest and trustworthy. Take your car here! I've been taking cars to these guys for 25 years, and I've worked on the same cars they've worked on so I've seen the work they do. I trust them and their work. They actually diagnose problems instead of throwing parts at codes. Their labor rate is fair, and they enthusiastically stand behind their work.

I would give Ben & John 500 stars if I could. I have had two different vehicles serviced at Japanese Auto regularly and wouldn't want to take them anywhere else. They have old school values where the customer always comes first. I called 5 mins before they closed with what turned out to be a fairly serious problem. Ben was patient and listened to my concerns. Even though he was overwhelmed and a bit shorthanded this week he told me he didn't want me to wait and just to bring it over the next day so he could check it out. Took it over this morning and he quickly diagnosed the problem and got it right in for the repair. He was concerned that i would have to rent a car and absob the extra cost and I picked it up the same night. I am sure he can't always give this level of service but these two Gentlemen really care and run the business with expertise and integrity. You can't possibly go wrong.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Just moved to the area with a '91 Miata for a summer car. Japanese Auto was recommended by a neighbor and they did a great job. The prices were decent and pleased on the quick turn around.

I cannot recommend them enough. As a woman, it can be hard to navigate auto repair shops, and find a place that's reputable and trustworthy. They're honest, they are fairly priced, and very friendly. The crew from Japanese Auto repair were tremendous!we are from northern Mich and stranded with a busted ac compressor. we also found a great towing company that recommended them.The owner even drove the two of us with our 95 lb dog to and from a hotel!!Thanks for everything J. My go to for fast high quality repairs. Don't let their name fool you, they work on non-Japanese vehicles as well. They have repaired small nuisance issues as well as catastrophic engine damage for me. They seem to have a solution for every issue.

I was advised to use Japanese auto by a few clients of mine and I m so happy I did! I have a 2017 wrangler and every single jeep dealership in town was a month backed up for service. As this is my daily driver I didn t have that kind of time. Marcus gave me a basic quote over the phone, towed my jeep, and got the work done in a few days WAY under what the quote was for! I m extremely pleased with the work, timelines and professionalism. I can t recommend them enough.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Brakes

I was traveling from out of state trying to get to Tennessee when my cylinder started misfiring - which was causing engine stuttering. I came through this shop and needed quick help to replace the ignition coil - and they were fortunately able to help me in the same day. the owner is a very honest and straight forward guy who was incredibly generous to help me out.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

This company is amazing!! Honest, thorough, and incredible mechanics all at a more than fair price. My husband and I have been taking our cars to Japanese Auto Repair for over 18 years. We recommend them to everyone, whether they have a foreign or domestic car. We will not go anywhere else, not even back to the car dealer. Give them a try; I promise you will not regret it!!

Replaced a power steering rack for me at less then half the price of what tireman was going to charge. Also saved me from replacing ball bearings that did not need replaced that tireman was also going to bill me for. Very stand up people working here. I would recommend anyone needing a bigger repair done to check here before throwing away thousands that you don't need to at a big name store like tireman. Thanks for everything, your team rocks at Japanese Auto!!!

There service is prompt and friendly. They've always been really honest. When I've asked about repairs they've been very honest if the repair is needed or not. Prices are reasonable too. I've only had to go back once because some bolts on a repair started to loosen on my exhaust. It was an issue that no other mechanic could fix. They did fix it! And it stayed fixed.

Myself and my father have taken our vehicles there for repairs we did not feel like enjoying, so they were larger and less than fun. They have always been honest, fair, and no surprises. Realized I never added a review when looking it up to recommend my coworker and figured I had to add my experience.

I've been trying to track down a squeaking noise in front end on my '06 Accord for the last few months. I took the car in to another shop multiple times during this time frame with mixed results, but I still had the noise.. So I called J-Auto repair last week and spoke to them about some possible causes for the noise. I brought my car in on a Monday the first thing in the morning. Not only did they diagnose the problem, they were able to replace the bad ball joint causing the noise and get me out the door in a timely fashion. They know their imports and are also very competent, just sayin. Nice work guys!

I've had four Subarus worked on by Japaneese Auto for the last 30 years. They do solid work and don't recommend anything that's anything that's not needed.
