Ever since I was a little boy, I always helped my dad and my grandpa work on cars. And then when I became of age and started driving, I of course did all of my own auto repairs. Now that I ve gotten much older, crawling around on the ground and underneath vehicles isn t as easy or as enjoyable anymore. So then comes the uneasy task of finding an honest and trustworthy shop. Over the last few years, I have taken my vehicles to some different automotive shops to have work done. And to be very blunt, none of those shops settled well with me at all. Either their customer service wasn t very good, which had me questioning a lot of things. And then there is one place in particular that I could clearly see did not do good quality work. And then of course there were a couple other shops that did good work.But when I found Sun Valley Auto, there was something about their level of customer service from the start that made me feel important and welcome. And they re knowledge, craftsmanship, and ability to work on vehicles correctly has proven to me that these guys are worthy of having, and keeping my business.Sun Valley Auto is the only place I will recommend for auto repair service

This company is really well-run and organized. It s super easy to make an appointment and everyone on staff is skilled, friendly, and helpful. They take time to check all the details so you leave feeling safe in your vehicle. As the owner of a hybrid vehicle it can sometimes be tricky finding people skilled with my particular car. Sun Valley did not disappoint. Highly recommend!!

I had a problem with a door on my work van, and other places I took it said they couldn t fix it. Richard took one look at it and had it fixed in about 3 minutes. After that, I had my van serviced at Sun Valley. They were super thorough with the assessment for service, talked me through everything they suggested, and did it all for a fair price. Great place to work with.

Very good service. Actually heard them talking to a potential client who would have had to have their vehicle towed quite a distance to have the work done. They put him in touch with a garage in his home town to save him a big tow bill. We'll done.

I was about 2 hours away from home and was having a small battery issue. When I took my van to Sun Valley Auto Repair, Travis had it fixed in 5 minutes. At no charge! They are great, friendly, professional, and knowledgable people. I would recommend them to everyone.

We were touring the town and noticed we had quick oil light go on and off. Not knowing the area Google showed me this place. The shop took a minute out of there busy time to make sure our car was safe to drive back home after we thought we might of been very low on oil. The kind of car we drive the dip stick is coated in red so it hard to read and the oil light was flashing randomly. The tech said I wouid be able to get home ok and put oil in it. I am grateful for the quick check. I might even drive 45 mins out of my way for service if i can get someone to follow me. It's hard finding good help these days. Thanks!!

I m from Detroit, Mi I traveled to Sugarcreek for a small cabin vacation, about 30 mins away from said cabin my car belt popped and the check battery system came on. The next morning I looked for an auto shop , not only were they 5 mins from my location they were able to recommend a prompt tow service, and a ride to pick up vehicle when it was done. They got the car that afternoon and had it back to me the next morning before we checked out! When I tell you Larry was the coolest mechanic I ever heard answer a phone..lol .. he assured me the job will be done a price that was fair and my car made it back to Detroit no problems, and s/ o to the dude who picked me up to get my ride his name starts with K he was cool as hell! Thanks guys! I highly recommend!

This place deserves more stars than just 5 stars. Us vehicle owner Depend full heartedly on our vehicles to get us to our destination! And it mean the world to have a excellent, dependable, trustworthy mechanic that doesn't just preform there work half heartedly. These guys show a passion for there work and customers. In September 2023 I took my car in for some brake work. They didn t have all the parts necessary to complete the job and said it would be okay to wait to finish it until I bring it in for the next oil change. In early April I had only driven it less than 2000 miles and took it back to complete the brake work. I expected an additional cost of about $300. They called and told me all the things they found wrong and made it sound like it was on its deathbed. To bring it back to normal would cost $3;500. I was foolish enough to let them do it. I ll be looking for a new repair shop.

Took my 93 vette to Sun Valley Auto to have full inspection and my brakes serviced before we went on a road trip. They did a great job communicating with me on everything they were planning on doing, the parts they were going to order and also informed me of a wheel bearing on its way out. Everything has been replaced and I'm feeling confident about our trip down south. Also impressed at how clean they kept the interior (it's white!), Never would have known anyone else was in the car! Highly Recommend!

My sisters and I were spending a few days in Holmes County and right before we were heading home had a tire going flat. We went to Sun Valley Auto Repair and we re blessed with the most wonderful people. They fixed my tire right away and treated us to kindly! Recommend them highly!Service: TiresService: Tires

Called on a Monday afternoon and they were able to get me in on the coming Thursday. They were very efficient in checking over entire vehicle not just the trunk problem I was dealing with. Always picked up phone when I called on first ring and knew exactly who I was in regards to vehicle and going over estimates. Professional staff, no cursing or the like least when we were present and got all of my vehicle's problems fixed in 1 day ready to pick up at 4 pm. The trunk works so well now and I feel safer with it and the kiddos, it works like new. Recommend!

We have all of our vehicles serviced here and appreciate the thoroughness and expertise. The staff are super courteous and always provide excellent service. We actually had two of our vehicles in at the same time due, one for routine service and the other unexpectedly for the battery light. I had radiator fluid spewing out of my truck. I took it to SVA monday morning, telling them I needed fuel filter and oil change along with my coolent issue.Brian got me in right away, and I told him "hopefully it's just a hose."I called at the end of Monday night, and he said, "The coolent resevoir had a leak, but often that is caused by a blown head gasket. He said the would check in the morning.I called in the morning and was told It did have blown head gasket and it built up to much pressure in the resevoir and cracked.They provided pictures of the test showing exhaust in the coolant.They said it would be $800 for the reservoir replacement and $3700 to replace the blown head gasket. Plus more if it needed to be sent out. I told them to finish the oil change and fuel filter change if they had not, and I was coming to pick it up.After paying $700+ for oil and fuel filter changes with the diagnostic. I got the detailed quotes. On the way home I stopped by the store to grab some coolant to top off my reservoir and told the gentleman behind the counter my issue he said "as a 30yr diesel Machanic that makes no sense." a co worker joined in and asked where I went. I refused to tell him, the gentleman said "I already know it was Sun Valley Auto."I took it to another shop and the technician told me what I had been told did not make sense with how the coolant system works.He then diagnosed my issue within 30 seconds. Behind the coolant resevoir is a hose that connects to the heater core and resevoir, and it was split wide open. The mechanic had it fixed and pressure tested to verify no other issues were happening.I have no driven 150 miles and no over heating or leaking.I spoke to Carson the owner twice and he continues to stand behind his shops $4500 diagnoses for what was fixed with a $35 hose.

Wonderful easy process! I ve never taken my vehicle to a shop that was so streamlined. The mechanics Richard C. And Broden M. did an amazing job! Larry, the service manager, was very responsive and thorough. Great first experience! A comprehensive inspection was done which helps us stay on top of any issues and potential issues. Brandon diagnosed our critical issues with a bad bearing that complicated problems with the brakes. Even with ordering parts the work was done quickly and well. We were given detailed updates during the process and all the staff was super friendly and attentive. Edit to one star: I never raised my voice or said I was going to change the compressor myself. I am not a mechanic. Nor do I have the equipment to tackle a large job like that. I only said I was a residential HVAC tech so I understand how the compressor operates and when I asked a few questions about what you checked I wasnt satisfied with the answers so i paid my bill and left. After getting it fixed (for free at Honda in Dover), I called back 3 days later to ask what your policy is for a misdiagnosed system. Again never raising my voice...just asking if i could get my money back. Own up to the fact that you made a mistake and stop lying about your customers getting loud and unreasonable! A simple...we made a mistake on your diagnostic and we sincerely apologize, would be great!The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because they didnt argue and gave my money back when I asked. Had an AC problem and took it to get checked out. They diagnosed it as a bad compressor and said it would be $2500.00 to fix it. When I questioned them about what they did and what they checked I was not satisfied with the answers they were giving me so I took it to Honda in Dover to see what they say for a second opinion. Loose plug on the compressor that was making it not run. Plugged it in and all was well!Service: Air conditioning

We had maintenance on 2 vehicles that needed doing. But we needed one with us, so Sun Valley worked with us easily to do the maintenance on one, then switch them out the same day to do the second one. They were easy to work with and seemed knowledgeable. Everyone was very friendly and they are local. My husband and I enjoy supporting local businesses that can meet our needs. I got excellent service. They emailed me a full overview of my car with areas that were good and areas that needed addressed. They even had pictures and videos to show me what needed done. Estimates were done very quickly and emailed as well. I was given a loaner car so I could continue to work while they ordered necessary parts. Highly recommend.

Sun Valley Auto is honest and very customer focused. I have used them multiple times for repairs and every time they do their best to get the job done quickly and professionally and they've made sure I know exactly what they're doing when I take my vehicle in. I've spoken with Carson (owner) a couple times and he's a real nice guy. It's obvious to see where the straight forward and customer focused atmosphere comes from. I wouldn't go to a cheaper place, their service is worth the money.

Travis did a great job! Completely impressed! He properly diagnosed and did a great prevehicle check! He went through everything bumper to bumper and had great communication with me! I brought my 2014 f150 5.0l to sunvalley for a BG induction service, oil change, and an alignment. They did a great job and now my truck runs better than ever! The tech priests at Sun Valley are among the best in the whole imperium on more than one occasion their holy oils and blessed mechanical incense quelled the angry machine spirit in my hover converted 4-8-8-2 Babcock & Stanley steam locomotive. If I could rate 6 out of five stars I would have given them 7. Also many thanks to service manager Glenn for helping me out of a jam with the local techno barbarians.
