I highly recommend Jimyz Automotive for all your car care needs. Mr. Jimyz is reliable, honest, knowledgeable and the customer service exceeded my expectations. When my sons car broke down on highway he was concerned about his safety first, that meant alot to us. He explained everything clearly and throughly. There was no hidden agenda. They went above and beyond servicing my sons car. Call Jimyz you won t be d isappointed !

I will never take my car to Jimyz Automotive again. In June of this year I took my wife s car to Jimyz for an ABS/brake light issue. They diagnosed it as a bad wheel hub assembly, easy enough fix, but not for them. They replaced the wheel hub assembly but, it went bad in July. I thought not a big deal, maybe it was just a manufacturing fault and Jimyz replaced it under warranty. When I picked the car up, ol jim bob told me if it happened again I would have to replace the knuckle because the hub assembly was loose in the knuckle. I thought that was odd because the knuckle isn t something that wears out. The hub assembly went bad again in August, so I decided I would replace it myself with a quality part from Motocraft. Upon removal of the wheel and brake parts I found the knuckle had been absolutely mangled by Jimyz Automotive, they used an air chisel to remove the factory wheel hub assembly and the mating surface was destroyed. This is what was causing the new wheel hub assembly to fail. I took the car to Klaben Ford in Kent and they agreed this is the reason for the wheel hub assembly to go bad. Klaben replaced the knuckle at a cost of almost $900. I believe, had I not discovered Jimyz mistake, they would have made me pay for the replacement. Ol Jim Bob is a dishonest person, I wouldn t trust him to check my oil so much as to wrench on any vehicle now. I took them to court and the judge ruled in my favor for the cost of the repair and court costs. Do yourself a favor and avoid Jimyz. Merry Christmas.Update: notice how he has not responded to this review. It s because he has no excuse for this poor work.

Thank you to all the people for their warnings. I also see the owner was extremely rude to one of the reviewers. Overcharging people is bad enough but to not fix the car and overcharge them is horrible. I was about to bring my 16 year old son s car in to this shop. Thank God for these reviews. I will never come there because you don t fix cars you play games.

This is the first time I have reviewed maybe anything. But I regret coming to this business greatly. They will grossly over charge you. They will not work on your car without charging you 190 to do a diagnostic. You would think if they found something they could fix in 5 minutes like a low tire they would fix it for that amount of money but no. I tried to bring it in again for an oil change since they gave me a coupon. Went to drop it off over night and their driveway was blocked and there was oil left all over it. I had an appointment to drop it off, a simple call could have stopped me from wasting my time but that would be too much customer service. I would say I don't know how they are in business but I think it's from taking advantage of people like me that don't know much about cars, because they will certainly overcharge you to do the bare minimum.

Jimyz automotive is AMAZING!! We took my daughters car to him for multiple issues and not only was every issue fixed he made sure to go above and beyond to ensure her safety while driving across the country! As always thank you to Jimy and his crew!!

Stopped by to see the place, looked great, set up an appointment date with a promise of a loaner car. Showed up on appointment date and was told no loaner was available, ok, was told they would call when a loaner would be available or reschedule appointment. Going on 5 days and still waiting on a call! Wouldn't go there if if was free.

They're a bit pricey on labor (as is any shop, really). But they fixed my car and had it back to me within the day. They diagnosed the problem pretty quickly and they even go through a 3rd party for payments to help those of us who can't afford these high unexpected costs to be able to pay for it and get on with our lives. I am very grateful for that! They seem pretty honest so I'll probably take my car back there again if I need to have it towed in again somewhere.

I received excellent service from Jimyz.. the owner contacted me once my report was sent and went over everything line by line. Letting me know what needed to be done and what can wait. I was pleasently suprised never had anyone do that for me before. I highly recommend Jimyz my price was high I had a lot of brake work that needed to be done and he worked with me and addressed every issue before doing the work and was very patient with me. I love the gift that was left for me in my car what touch of class. Thank you again for the service and I will absolutely be back again soon.Service: Brake service & repair

I needed a pre-purchase vehicle inspection in Streetsboro and wanted to find an established and reputable automotive repair shop. This process was complicated since I live 500 miles away, and had to rely solely on online research. I discovered Jimyz Automotive was the preferred community choice. I called the shop, spoke to Derrick, and described my objectives. Despite short notice, he scheduled my appointment for the next morning. When I arrived for the appointment with the vehicle ( a Chevy Express 1500 conversion van), the team got right to work. They conducted a 57-point inspection complete with photos and written explanations. This was the most rigorous vehicle inspection I've ever seen. The examination lasted more than an hour. The analysis allowed me to make a confident and educated decision about the van purchase. (I negotiated a better sales price because of the report.) This place used to be good. Came in for rear brakes, rotors and calipers. New parts are $448 total and they tried to quote me $1448!!!!This is a 2 hour job max at $149//hr labor. What s the extra $700 for??? Wasted a day off trying to support local business

I am from out of town, but I was looking to buy a used van. I took the vehicle to Jimyz Automotive and they did a full detailed inspection. They gave me an honest detailed report and advised me not to purchase the van, saving me thousands of dollars. I am so grateful. Lisa the office manager was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, professional, and really took care of us as we waited. I know that if I every find another used car near Streetsboro Ohio, I will be well taken care of.

This place is awesome the owner is friendly prices are fair and they are honest. The added personal touch really does make a difference. They are a local business, they care so much about customer satisfaction, and unlike other places they really care about their customers! Worth the 25 minute drive.

Would not recommend. Jimmy (the owner) refuses to speak to customers face to face or even over the phone despite customer request. He insists on having his secretary answer all questions and concerns now who unfortunately is very rude, unprofessional, and ill informed. I recently bought brand new (supposedly) all season tires that went bad and needed to be replaced at 20,000 miles which is unheard of. These tires were specifically recommended to me by Jimmy who claimed they were excellent tires. When I brought my car in to discuss with Jimmy he refused to speak to me about it and deferred everything to Lisa the secretary who was less than helpful and kept calling me by the wrong name. When going over other tire options she didn t know the difference between an all season tire and a snow tire and openly told me she s ordered the wrong tires for customers in the past. They refused to give me a refund for previous faulty tires. Would not recommend. Save your money and go somewhere else. Currently filing a complaint with the BBB. Hope this doesn t happen to anyone else. Very frustrating and disappointing. Big safety concern.Service: Tires

Made sure to schedule time at Jimyz during this holiday season while the son was home to look at his 2014 Chevy Silverado. They were able to rotate the tires and plug a slow leaking tire as requested. Also found a couple minor items (break light out) that they were able to fix that day. Jimyz also gave us a few items that will need to be taken care of soon (original shocks and struts) but didn t push us to complete the repairs right now.For the past decade I have trusted Jimyz Automative to provide prompt and professional service for all of my auto service needs. Their honesty and fair pricing has been consistent over the years and is greatly appreciated.Service: General repairs & maintenance

They did a really great job of looking over the car and detailing to me exactly what was wrong. Jim even went as far as calling the dealership to try to help me out to get my vehicle covered by warranty. I just moved into the Streetsboro neighborhood 4 months ago and needed a local option for car repair. Jimyz Automotive was my first choice because the online reviews were good. They did not disappoint...everything from the online appointment setting to being greeted by Lisa when I entered the shop to the comprehensive vehicle report was fantastic! Very professional and provided pictures of the repairs needed, which I totally appreciated and it made the decision to get the repairs I needed seamless. Thanks so much Jim! Jimyz Automotive was so good to me. My car had no compression in one of its cylinders and Jim went above and beyond to try and save me from having to buy a whole new engine. He was honest, fair and so extremely knowledgeable. I felt comfortable having my car in his care. Jimyz Automotive provided me with a loaner vehicle that was reliable while mine was in the shop. They worked with me to find the best solution to the cars issues and answered all my questions in detail. This place has scammed my family for the last time. 1st they raised my truck into their lift which creased the roof panel across the span of it. Naturally they failed to mention it at the time of pick up and when I called to let them know he said there is no way it could happen. Only when I went back and he saw the paint from the lift matched exactly what was left on my roof is when they take responsibility for it. Second is when we were quoted over $1,000 for new front brakes for my wife SUV. I declined and let him know I would do them myself. I was then offered to bring in the parts and they would install them for roughly $100. Apparently they were really hoping for some price gouging as the parts. Just over a year ago I had the front brakes replaced on my truck. I called them to have them looked at as its got some extreme pulsating going on. Their recommendation after roughly 12,000 +/- miles on the new brakes The front rotors and pads need be replaced (but don t worry, they will be covered as they wore out prematurely and will be under warranty) but while under there we noticed a stuck caliber, which will cost $750 to replace. Naturally in good conscience he can t replace their faulty parts without adding on the additional work . Mind you I just spoke with two local/ professional shops who quoted me $200 and $190 to replace a caliber. As for my previous review of, Love the new management and service! Thanks again! I should have known it was too good to be true when they have a different manager in there every time I go in. Should have never went back after the first nightmare, so much for trying to support a local business.Service: Brakes

My car is seven years old and I have never had any major issues with it until recently. I wasn't sure where to take my car, so I did an online search and came across Jimyz, and I'm glad that I did! I wasn't certain of the issues with my car specifically, but I told them some of the problems that I was experiencing and Jim and his crew meticulously went through to determine the problem. Lisa was absolutely phenomenal every step of the way. She made sure to call me to either get more information or to let me know the status of things. Lisa is truly wonderful to work with and her friendliness and kindness really made my experience exceptional. Thank you to Jim, Lisa and the rest of the crew. This was by far the cleanest and nicest automotive shops that I have ever been to. They were professional and quick. They exemplified service with a smile and charged a fair price. My mom and I broke down on the turnpike and he was able to look at the car and get it up and running in less than two hours. On top of it all they let us have a rental and we went out to lunch while we waited. Phenomenal service through and through.

I have had all of my vehicles serviced by this garage for more than 15 years. I drive my vehicles until they can not be fixed anymore. Haha. My vehicles have all lasted over 200k miles thanks to this garage. They are honest, reliable, and reasonably priced. Cool report of my car but I didn't want it. They sold me a diagnostic scan I didn't want nor acknowledge I was getting until it was time to pay. They gave me a very detailed report on my 2007 Prius noting all that needed repaired but no quotes. You have to call for that which is fine but why the texted report if it doesn't have prices? $1100 for brakes-ouch No thanks but I still had a nail in my tire and critters in the glovebox so they did a tire repair and glove box filter for $220. Seems high to me oh wait it's that fancy report I got:(

When the Toyota dealer seemed unsure of how to fix the exhaust we decided to try here based on reviews from Facebook. They could not be more correct! They were amazing! We got an immediate appointment, excellent work, excellent price. Then right before we were going out of town, we needed something looked at. They got us in same day! Great company!
