Great price for what I needed done. Fred is a really honest shop owner. The mechanic was able to replace my entire exhaust in 2 hours! Will be coming back for my other cars exhaust in the future. Solid work!

I don't know where to even begin. I guess with Fred. He is so kind and wonderful. He is honest, thoughtful and caring. I needed some break work done on my care and did a quick Google search and saw good reviews. Called and spoke with Fred. Went up this morning and a big smile and hand shake greeted me. He even got into my car with me to hear the problems I was describing to him. I felt heard and that he understood exactly what I was talking about. He went over what he thought I needed done. Asked me about budget and what I was comfortable with. Told me that he would not do anything without talking with me first. It was an amazing experience and this family will be coming here for any repairs they can do. Fred is a joy of a person. I would go just to chat with him.

Fred and his team were honest and reliable. They put my vehicle on the rack and showed me exactly where the leak was in my exhaust system. The price was very reasonable compared to other places in the area. Fred was even helpful to give me a ride back to my home and pick me back up once the service was completed!

I went to Stow Muffler & Brakes to find out why my car didn't start on cold days. When Fred diagnosed it, he immediately knew the culprit and had Mike replace my starter. Now, it starts like a charm. I just went back to get my heater repaired. Fred found the problem and was able to repair it at a minimal cost. I've never dealt with anyone so honest! The price is always reasonable and the work is perfect every time. Fred is very efficient, honest, knowledgeable and professional!! I recommended his shop to all my family and friends! We need more honest people in this world!! I'm grateful for Fred and Mike!They will always have my business! Keep up the great work!!

I have always been leery about trying new auto repair shops, but working with the owner Fred was incredible. He greeted me with a smile and a handshake and was ready for me when I showed up. He took the time to put my vehicle on the lift so we could both see the problem. He quickly identified the problem and explained the solution. I agreed with his assessment and it was fixed much quicker than I expected. He went above and beyond helping me out. Appreciate it Fred!

Wow! How refreshing to get excellent service, fast and no nonsense at a great price! I looked up reviews of Stow Mufflers and Brakes before I brought my jeep in for an exhaust issue. They were very positive, so I gave them a try.They repaired it quickly and quoted me a very fair price. I will be back for ALL of my automotive needs.** Ladies, I often worry about higher repair costs because I'm a woman. It still happens out there. But Fred, the owner is trustworthy and personable.

Needed a new exhaust as mine broke off on the way back from a meeting an hour away. Fred was able to get me in and had my car done the same day! Will definitely utilize his shop again in the future if needed!

Service was prompt and professional.They charge reasonable prices for excellent work.Unlike other shops, they qill try to save you money. This is what an honest mechanic does. You don't need your whole exhaust system replaced when only a single part is broken. They won't try to firce it.They also don't overcharge for parts like some stores.Friendly, courteous, effective, and honest: What else could you ask for?

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! If you need something done.. go see Fred!! He was the most caring, most genuine person ever! I got a complete exhaust system done and he bent over backwards to complete it! Couldn't beat the price or the service! I highly, highly recommend!!!! Thank you again, Fred. I appreciate you!

After getting very high estimates from several places including my dealership, I just happened to see Stow Muffler & Brakes as I drove home. Fred, the owner, & Tim the tech could not have been nicer & honest. They repaired my exhaust while I waited for $120 less than all the others. I'm going back next week to have a broken sway bar replaced at a great price. Nice people, honest, fair prices & quality work. This is my new home for all of my automotive repairs! They don't try to gouge you. Finally, I have peace of mind when it comes to my SUV repairs.Update: 02/21/2024On 02/17/2024, my brakes went out on me. I got my vehicle to Stow Muffler & Brakes on 02/19/2024, and the owner, Fred got me right in. He drove me home. Throughout the day he called me several times to keep me updated on the progress. I needed new brake lines, & both rear brake calipers were seized up (I had no idea!). He made all necessary repairs, took pictures of everything, & picked me up at home since I didn't have a ride. He had my SUV back to me by day's end. He & his mechanic Mike worked all day on my vehicle. I'm a retiree & live alone, so being without my vehicle is very stressful. Thanks to Fred's caring, compassionate attitude towards his customers, & in spite of a very stressful situation, Fred managed to calm my anxiety. The cost of the repairs was well below what the dealership would have charged me. Fred allowed me to pay part of the bill, & agreed to wait until I receive my tax refund to be paid the rest. I think that's because I've been his customer for many years now. Trust is a valued commodity, & Fred rewards his longtime customers with it. I am indebted to this man for all that he has done for me and my vehicle over the years. Patronize your local small businesses. They need your business to remain open, & trust has its rewards. Thank you for being there for me once again Fred!

Stopped by here for an emergency repair on my exhaust and Fred treated me excellent. I dropped off the car at 8:15 am and by 12:30 pm it was ready to go. Very honest place which is hard to come by.

I received an estimate from another muffler business and then called Fred and left a message on Saturday telling me what I needed for my CRV. He returned my call and promised me a better price and quality work. He delivered on his promise. I highly recommend Stow Muffler for your exhaust needs. You will not be disappointed. I dropped the car off around 9am and it was ready before noon.Service: Exhaust

Today I met the owner Fred and he did such a great job helping me with my boyfriends car. Told him what was wrong and he turned it around in a timely fashion and gave me a great price. Good service and he charged me lower then he quoted me because he said that the exhaust didn't need as much work done as he thought initially. As a woman who knows little about cars the owner was honest with me and was fair. The cost for the work was affordable. Will do business here again if I ever need to.Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

DO NOT GO TO FRED at Stow Muffler & Brakes. I don't know how he retains customers. His business model is based off charging customers way more then necessary without caring if he retains them. I spoke with 3 other people who had similar experiences where they feel like they got ripped off and overcharged. You will notice he does not get much business because nobody comes back after their 1st and only service. Hopefully people see this and avoid this establishment.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes

Fred was a professional in every sense of the word. He made me feel comfortable that my classic car was in good hands when it needed a new muffler. He was able to find the parts I needed and was able to work on the car the same day I brought it in. He pointed out what could be future problems and did not try to sell me on anything I did not need. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone and Will be going back when I need more work done.

Fred went above and beyond getting bmy Ford Edge in for brake repair. I was scheduled for Monday morning , but do to snow storm nothing was open as normal. Fred called once his lot was plowed and had me bring my vehicle so he could start on it first thing the next day. By 12:00 my vehicle was ready and totally repaired. Definitely will recommend Stow Muffler and Brake AAAAA++++Service: Brakes

Fred and his staff were great. Polite, friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the specific issue and how they would repair it. Fixed our exhaust (MUCH MUCH QUIETER NOW) and saved us hundreds of dollars over what the dealership was charging to replace.

Fred was very nice to me and cares about helping. My exhaust pipe completely broke at the flange and instead of automatically telling me I needed a whole new system like most places, he specializes in trying to repair first instead of replace. I was out within a half hour, for less money, and my car was completely quiet again.

Fred is an awesome guy who was able to fix my VW passat the same day I brought it in when nobody else in the area could... Showed me where my exhaust broke and exactly what he was gonna do to fix it. And he did it for a decent price, whereas other shops quoted me upwards of $1200 for an EXHAUST. Fred is super professional and I will be back in a few days with my girlfriend s car

Tell your friends, family!!Fred took the time to accurately provide a price to replace my rusted exhaust pipe, and happily worked with me to get the price down to be more reasonable for my 17yr old car with 200,000 miles on it. A low cost repair is what I needed. Thank you Fred!

Took my car here a few times before and had a good experience on minor work. Usually go to Don Joseph Toyota but they ripped me off on my last major work and didn't do it right either, so I took it to Fred at Stow Muffler to have Power Steering Rack replaced and all 4 struts, He gave me a really fair price, I know cause I checked it out what costs of such a repair averages. Not only did he give a fair price, he explained everything and did the work in reasonable period of time and now car rides like a dream. He's won my business!

Went in for a simple rattle on my exhaust. Walked in the owner was on the phone which sounded like a personal call. Sat for 15 minutes he said two words to me walked away. Seemed disinterested in my business. Then he proceeded to tell me come back beginning of next week did not write down my name or appointment time. Happy he didn't touch my car. Will never go back won't recommend him to anyone. Bad feeling as soon as I walked through the door. Surprised he is even in businessService: Exhaust
