I can't thank this mechanic shop enough! I reached out on a holiday weekend when no one else was available until Monday. They went above and beyond, sending two guys for a service call, diagnosing the issue right at my vehicle. They arranged a tow, swiftly got my heavy vehicle to their shop, and had it fixed the same day. Their prompt response not only spared me thousands in potential repair costs but also saved me from hotel expenses, vehicle rentals, and lost work time. Exceptional service and genuine lifesavers!

Talked with Grahm, the owner first,told himOf the experience I had at another repair shop.He said bring it by so we can address your front end. Nathan his mechanic took time looking over my truck with the most AtnOn the front endHe showed me exactly what needed to b done first,because of the amount of money I had.He got it in right away,by the next day it was done.It drives and handles like new,I am so impressed with the whole experience,couldn't b any happier.Hell of a job.Good honest work at a fair price, can't beat it

So I have a 2000 Buick regal ls and Nathan has been extremely wonderful with my car. Had a lot of issues and he knew exactly what he needed to fix it. A LIFE SAVOR!!!!! We took a family vacation to castaway bay and our car broke down!!! So the only shop available was good ol boys! Nathan came immediately went and got the parts and fixed our vehicle within 2hrs we were our way back !!!! Please whenever you re in Sandusky and have any issues with your car go to them !!!

I had my 03 Dodge Neon done around my birthday due to a leaky transmission pan which later to be found something else that caused the leak, but good ol boys did help in trying to identify what may be going on. Nate, the mechanic who worked on my car was very transparent and professional throughout the whole process due to another shop botching my pan with a poorly done gasket maker job and adding bolts that didn't belong on the pan to begin with. If you need ANY help with your vehicle in the Sandusky area, go to them. It's one of the towns best kept secrets that unfortunately Google maps has had a hard time locating. If you're looking for the shop by maps, don't fret, you're in the right vicinity of the area, it's just in the rocky alleyway right behind the license bureau as pictured. Just look for the garage door as I pictured on the business. It should be a bigger help than what Maps did.Service: Transmission

Great local repair shop. When I crashed my old car, they got the necessary parts to make it road-safe to the shop in no time and installed them quickly. The repair didn't cost much, and Graham was respectful in all communication. (Not something you can say for anyone).When I got a different car and heard some strange noises, I was able to take it to the shop the same day. Their coworker test drove it and immediately diagnosed a strained engine bearing. (I understand it as "the engine is right about to fall off and cause a crash, get this hot potato back to the dealership now!") They offered practical advice about lemon laws that I was able to use directly against the dealership and get all my money back.They have done right by me, and I'll be happy to recommend them for repairs.

They have the BESTTT SERVICE!!! Take care of there clients no matter what time or day if they re up will give u the BEST advice & FIX IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!! ONLY place that will EVER TOUCH MY $15,000 car

One shop said I needed a rack and pinion and so I came across the Good Ol Boys and Graham said that I was leaking from my power steering pump and that I needed a $15 seal. He was straight up honest with me and I could tell he was very fair with the pricing. A few months later I took my 1977 Cadillac coupe deville there to have my timing and carburetor adjusted and Chris did a great job and for a good price. If you need any work done to your vehicle no matter if it s a 1940 or 2023 they are the guys to go to!!! It's been over a month since I brought my vehicle in for what I thought was a muffler issue. Graham put it up on the lift right away and smoked the exhaust system, finding and welding shut a hole right away. He asked me to test drive it to see if that fixed it. It still had noise so when I went back he jumped in with me and went around the block, quickly able to diagnose my passenger side wheel bearings as the real issue. He kept it overnight and I picked it up after work the next day. It was a very pleasant experience and the shop was really cool. No issues since. I was out of town and they came through in a serious way . My car was overheating and we we were around 3 1/2 hours from home. Every automotive shop was closed, until I came across the good ol boys. He was very engaging as soon as I started to explain my problem. Even more impressive I told him I was from out of town he could have easily overcharged me . But he (graham) more than reasonable. He said he'd call me the next morning at 9 am and he had me on the road after just a couple hours. And he was more than reasonable with his price. Nice to see a good, honest people that take pride in customer service and the work they do. Highly recommended

Where to even start.. I found good ol boys when my rear shock mount snapped during our vacation here. Graham went ABOVE and BEYOND to have my car fixed in time for us to make it home In time. Communication was great, especially with parts being close to impossible to find with my Mazda due to back orders. He did amazing work and put his all into getting the job completed, I would 100% recommend them to anyone. Thank you for everything!

I called my dad frantically because a day before I was suppose to be moving home it sounded like something was about to come through my floorboard, we believed it was a wheelbearing not the case. These guys took on the project and within 2 hours had everything diagnosed as I busted my transfer case, I was so stressed out but they did a GREAT job! I couldn t be any happier!! And I still got to move home the same day! They were so quick and friendly! I would recommend them to anyone!!

On a recent road trip from Michigan to Maine, we found ourselves about 3 hours from home just south of Sandusky sitting next to the highway with an overheating car. We limped it along until we could exit off the highway. After a few phone calls to friends and our Michigan mechanic it was determined that we should have the car towed somewhere and looked at...(could be thermostat, blown head gasket, water pump) As it was evening time, our choices were slim, we google searched and came across Good Ole Boys auto repair in Sandusky still open. So I called and explained by dilemma to Graham. he was very friendly willing to take a look at the car that evening if we could get it up to him before 9pm. We arranged a hotel stay for the night assuming it would be the next day before he could get us back on the road. After getting to his shop around 830pm he ran some tests, narrowed it down to a thermostat issue and determined would indeed be the next day for the actual repair. He offered to take us to the hotel we booked. talk about above and beyond. Then not only that he called us the next morning and had the car fixed by mid morning and came back and picked us up from the hotel. That is what I call service! If I ever need work done on my car and I am in the Sandusky area, I will definitely look these guys up again. Thanks Graham for getting us back on the road so we could enjoy our vacation!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair
