Great folks, however, they often forget to call when my order comes in, other than that they are good at what they do!

A-1 Has always been my go-to for all my glass and plexi needs, yes there are very few alternatives in the way of competition but if you look at the fact that, until this review I've never been bothered to LOOK for alternative glass guys, and it's not like I come from money and just blow it despite the level of service. No, they have always treated me with the respect and appreciation I expect to be treated with. They give you honest opinions for example this most recent visit I had ordered the glass I was picking up, but when I came in to order I told them what the intended purpose was and I asked them what was the best way to go, tempered or not, the choice they offered me actually saved me money and I got the better deal. Like dealing with many businesses, if you walk in and demand this and order employees to do that, you get what you get so don't get upset, respect us a two way street, being the customer does not make you the sheriff of said street, feel me?!?

A1 glass in Portsmouth is literally the worst place that you can get your glass cut, they left my glass sitting outside all weekend, after destroying 150 year old antique glass that I only wanted a match for, they only gave me trash service because of the color of my skin, and the people were disrespectful and disgusting, but when I had my WHITE wife call and be irate over such service, they changed their tone, repeatedly apologizing and being respectful towards her over the situation. They didn t know that the glass was getting cut for a White person, saw a black guy come in and instantly racially profiled me, I give this service 1 star, DO NOT RECOMMEND, and ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR OR HAVE ANY KIND TINT ON YOUR SKIN!!! THUMBS DOWN!!!

Cheapest price on glass & installation that I found locally. Took 1/3rd of the time they estimated to install. Have had 2 glass replacements done there &they haven't disappointed yet!

So far so good! They saved me over $100 compared what I was told was the cheapest place in town at another store!**UPDATE**Had my glass installed, they were incredibly nice in the office. They had me back on the road in 45 minutes and my glass looks great! The ladies in the office really loved my service dog too!

We had a rock from our lawn mower bust a side window out of our brand new van one day before our vacation. They was able replace it that day and we was able to leave on time. Great work at a great price!!!

They ordered the wrong windshield and didn't even look at the car on the first trip- so why did I need to make the trip to place the order to begin with when I had talked to the business through Facebook messenger.On the second trip, I was told that the wrong windshield was ordered, I accepted that mistakes happen and I made a 3rd appointment without complaints. A confirmation message for the third trip was read by their business at 12:06 on the day of, If they would have looked into it then, it would have saved another trip, but they didn't respond before the 2pm appointment. At the 3rd appointment, they said they did not have the windshield. I did not make a 4th appointment because I have zero confidence that the job will be done correctly. I'm not trying to make an issue out of this, but a person can only take so much. I'm angry because this has taken up so much of my time and I am dumbfounded by the mistakes that were made. I have screenshots of all of this.It's very difficult for us to get there because we have a special needs child. 4 trips there to get a windshield replaced is beyond unprofessional, I do not trust that the actual job can be done correctly so I did not make an appointment for a 4th trip and technically was never a customer but they wasted so much of my time for nothing and I read reviews on BBB before trying new places, there weren't any complaints so I am making this same review on BBB, yelp and google to warn others like me so they don't waste their time and I also hope the business tries to learn from these mistakes so that other people don't waste their time as well.Service: Auto windshield replacement
