Brought my car here for the first time and I knew it needed multiple things done, they were amazing from the moment I called to talk to the receptionist, she was kind friendly and warm , and then to top it off , they offered discounts since the price of the multiple things needed was high they were so kind to try to keep it as low as possible and find any savings possible. I appreciate the honest opinions and they didn't try to have me fix everything at once , but were honest and told me what was needed by priority to help budget! Totally recommend this place!

The theme of every conversation I had with them was about saving ME money. I had a quote at another popular mechanic in Maumee and they did the same job for almost half of that quote. Everyone is so nice here too. I remember last year they looked at my car for free for preventative maintenance. I will always bring my car here!

So thankful for Steves Family Auto! They have worked with me on multiple occasions, unfortunately but at the same time, fortunately. They are always quick to help, honest, and very timely. They make sure you understand what they re doing and they don t push anything not necessary and give you appropriate timelines for anything that can wait or can be done at a later time but makes you feel safe with the timeframe they recommend you to follow up with them. Every person I ve ever talked to on the phone there and interacted with has Treated me with respect and has always been kind. I would recommend anyone To Steve s.

Awesome business. They're honest and they let you know immediately what the problems are. They work with you and are very understanding. Had my water pump and timing chain replaced by then. Car runs just like I got it off the lot at Toyota. Will be back.

I was in town for work and desperately needed new brakes and rotors for my 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan. I called Thursday later afternoon and they worked me into their schedule and had my vehicle back to me by Monday. Everyone I interacted with was very nice and helpful. They charged me a very fair price. I am very appreciative for how accommodating they were and their ability to work me into their schedule so quickly. Sadly, I will probably never use them again but only because I live 3 hours away so I wanted to take the time to write a review so other people will know this is a great business to use.

Most honest car repair I ve ever been too. They get almost everything done in under a day. They aren t there to rip you off like the big chains are - I ll be going back for all future car needs. Simply the best.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Steve and his crew. If you are looking for an honest assessment, thorough evaluation and a straightforward mechanic you can trust, try them out. Shout out to Steve s Family Auto at 26937 Eckle Rd. My daughters car would not start at the HS today figuring it was needing a battery. We jumped her car to start it and called Steve s Famiky Auto. By the time I got out of work and took the car there it was pushing 5:00. They close at 6! Steve and his crew went to work and changed the battery in 10 minutes much faster than me! Kudos for quick fix at the last minute of your workday and for NOT telling me no and/or to come back tomorrow! No dealer in town would have done this late in the day! That s why I take my cars to Steve s Family Auto! Honest Trusted Loyal! Thanks Steve!Service: General repairs & maintenance

My daughter drove over a curb and damaged the underneath the engine (stuff dragging). It was 730 pm, Steve s was closed. I told her I d go to Steve s. Next morning at 815 am she was in parking lot and met a mechanic, explained what happened. She couldn t stay because movers were coming to her house. She gave him the keys and left. I called over and talked to them and the found my account and added her too it. Rich called half hour later and said 1-2 days, he called her and she said go for it ( she was leaving for NC on day3). Rich called at 1 pm and it was done! Friendly, professional and great service, two or three thumbs up!! Services: Exhaust, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Wiper blade installation

Highly recommend Steve's Family Auto. Had a small crisis and they were kind enough to get me in on a busy day! I was able to pickup my car the next morning and it's running great!Very nice staff!

Our family has been taking our cars here for many years now. We keep going back because we trust them. They are really honest with us about our cars and their needs. For example, today I took in my car and said I was getting a brake fluid light, and that I thought I might need a brake fluid flush, new pads, or both. When I picked up the car, they said the brakes were in great shape, the fluid was fine - but just low. So they topped it off and said that's all that they needed to do. I really appreciate their honesty. If someone wanted, they could tell me something needed to be fixed and I wouldn't know any better. But I trust the people at Steve's.And when one of our cars DOES need more extensive maintenance, I know they're telling me the truth. Their pricing is very reasonable, too. I feel like they see me as someone they want to help when they can, rather than someone to charge a lot for work that may or may not be needed.

After being recommended by a friend to have our work trucks serviced by Steve s we now have our entire family going there. They provide everything you would expect out of a quality shop and then some. Very nice facility, always clean. A friendly welcoming staff that treat you with respect. They do what they say for a fair price and always take time to listen to you explain issues you are having with your vehicle. Great shop! I've been here a few times now and I am impressed with how friendly and helpful they are. Steve is engaging and thorough. Good location, easy to get in and out of and the place is clean. So happy I found them.

I brought my car in the garage at Steve's Family Auto and I was told that they were not to fix my issue. They were professional and tactful and didn't charge me anything to take a look at my car. They're honest and do good work and will let you know if they can't. Go see them.

I've never liked going to car service shops. Always ripping you off and doing half donkey work. Steve's Family Auto is not one of these places. Honest and fair. Very transparent in what they plan on doing for you and upfront. Had been taking my car to the dealer and they were giving me the run around and just putting band-aids on the problem. Took it to Steve's and within 15 minutes had diagnosed the true problem and given me the solution. Will always recommend them to anyone who asks for a good mechanic shop. Also if the family reads this, thank you and keep up the good work!

My wife's car broke down on her way back to Maryland on I 80-90 near Toledo. Upon recommendation from a friend, I directed her to Steve's Family Auto. They could not have been more nice, professional and just all around awesome in not only fixing the repair, but making sure she got back to her motel safely by driving her there. The price for the repair was more than reasonable. If you ever have an engine break down on I 80-90 near Toledo, make sure to have the tow truck driver take you there.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Brought my Prius in for a fluid leak, not only did they fix that for about half the price I expected but they also changed my oil and confirmed a check engine light diagnoses all in about two hours. Will only be bringing my vehicles to Steve s family auto from here on, my only issue is that I had been taking my cars elsewhere for so long. Glad I found these guys.Services: Brakes, Oil change

We have been customers at Steve's Family Auto for awhile now, and his crew has always treated us right . They don't pressure you to get the "extra" work done just to beef up the bill. They are just straight up good people that fix your car for a fair price. We will continue to send them our business.

I believe I posted a review before but don t see it anymore.I have brought in a car four times and am generally very satisfied with Steve s.I had to bring my silver Honda Fit in three times for the a/c; summer of 2017, summer of 2018, and just picked it up today. In 2016, I had another shop look at it but they just kept recharging/flushing the system and couldn t figure out why it wasn t working properly, and assumed it was the compressor. I wasn t confident in the other shops and left it for 2016. Come 2017, wanting another set of eyes, I took it to Steve s. He was very thorough over the phone and explained everything they checked and essentially narrowed it down to the compressor likely being the issue. I was confident enough and went with it.The price was a tad high but still very fair. Unfortunately, my wife noticed immediately after that it was making a weird noise. I took a look and saw the clutch slipping. Luckily, they said it was covered under warranty and replaced it at no charge.Come 2018, the a/c started to not kick on intermittently. After several weeks of intense trouble shooting by Steve himself, he was able to narrow it down to the computer unit. We replaced that along with a few other items and it seems to work very reliably. He also replaced the compressor again during the troubleshooting since it was still under warranty just to be safe.Come 2019, it stopped working again. Because Steve was familiar with the car, he personally worked on it again. After a week of troubleshooting, he narrowed it down to the compressor again, which was well out of the 1 year warranty now. Fortunately, Steve went out of his way to push for the warranty and actually succeeded and got it replaced for free!! The time they have put into this haunted a/c system is significant. And only a shop who stands behind their work would have done that in my opinion.The only other time I used their services was bringing in a new to me Honda Fit of in for some minor repairs and too look at the loose steering system. They performed the minor repairs well but could not find anything wrong with the steering. After driving this vehicle for another couple weeks, I am sure that there s something wrong with the steering. I ll likely bring the car back in eventually and maybe see if I can get an appointment for Steve to look at it himself, as whatever technician looked at it before did not succeed.Overall, highly recommend the shop, but specifically Steve himself.

Owner is super rude to customers who ask why the mechanics suggest parts of the car to get fix. Yelled and talked over the top of confused customers. Not very family friendly here

Very honest business , I'm new to the state of Ohio but this company made me feel like home. I wish I could give them 20 stars, I don't see myself going anywhere else in the state. Great 1st impression

I've been using Steve's for about ten years now. They have always been fair and honest. The whole staff is friendly. It's hard for a mechanic to gain my trust. I will never take my car to anyone else.
