I will not take my car anywhere else and I plan to go here for the foreseeable future. They're cheaper than other mechanics I've been to but do much higher quality work. I've had other shops make sloppy mistakes but University Motors never has. This is the shop I recommend to all my friends and anyone else who asks!

Okay. So this place is fantastic. Had a chit chat about the car and it's future with both the manager and the mechanic. I have already had it looked at twice before at other place. They call me up and tell me it's $50 to tighten some bolts and remove a "ton" of brake dust. CURED. The obscene amount of $ other folks wanted was laughable. I'm going back to University Motors for life. Honesty is so hard to find. AND in a small town it's something to be revered. Super happy. Fixed. That's all I want + I had enough left over to buy some ice cream and a burrito. Yeah boooooy!

Very honest, trustworthy, expert in car repairs. I always get a friendly, speedy, accurate experience. One time, I took my car in because I was worried something was wrong. I picked up later, nothing was wrong, and since the check-over revealed nothing wrong, they charged nothing. Another time, my car needed new tires after breaking down. A local church had offered to pay for it. At University Motors, the technician took my word for it and went ahead with the repairs in good faith. I have had only good experiences here and I try to promote this business and spread the word however I can.

The team was so helpful in making sure I was driving a fully safe car home for thanksgiving break. I had my car diagnosed and fixed in less than 24 hours. Prices are fair for quality work.

Went in to get my alternator replaced. The repair was cost wise on the low end of the researchable range. That said the repair was done quickly and the car works well.

Always a great experience with University Motors. They are always very thorough with my vehicles and tell you whether or not something needs fixed. Always trustworthy as they don't try to sell services that are not needed. One of the most honest car mechanic places I've ever been to. They will tell you what's wrong and will even explain in great detail if they recommend fixing it or not. In my time at Miami I've been to University Motors three times, and every time has been a good experience. They're very transparent about services performed, accommodating to those who can't leave their car, and charge fairly for labor and parts used. If there's any issue, they're quick to correct the problem and accept responsibility if it falls on them. After my experiences here and the care I've received, I wouldn't go anywhere else in Oxford if I had an issue with my car. Only good experiences here! One time they examined my car, and found nothing wrong so there was no charge. Always super friendly and happy to give advice. I highly recommend building a good relationship with them. 5 stars all the way!

The folks at University do great work! This summer I had my catalytic convertor stolen and the gang there got me taken care of so fast I was back in my car in a jiffy. In fact the exhaust sounded like it was better than ever after their repair. They were so helpful guiding me through the process and dealing with the insurance and they even had the parts ordered the minute I told them about the situation on the phone. I would give zero stars if I could. I brought my Lincoln in the first time, it sat for 3 weeks in the same spot and they didn't work on it. I brought it in the second time... and it sat for 6 weeks before I realized they were not going to work on it, and didn't have the courtesy to tell me they weren't going to work on it. Thank you for the 75 dollar tow bill to get it to your shop, and thank you for the other 75 dollar tow bill to take it to a shop that has the decency to tell you they aren't going to work on a vehicle. I wouldn't trust this shop to rotate my tires. cheers. Go somewhere else.

I had a fantastic experience here, the guys who helped me were friendly, attentive, and knowledgable. I especially loved that they took the time to show and explain to me what was wrong with the car (I had a broken weld, simple fix) and what they were going to do to fix it. It was overall a great experience and I plan to return with any and all future auto issues.Highly recommend!!!

My student-son at Miami's car wouldnt start three days before his scheduled trip home. In spite of being booked up, Hueston and Jeff somehow managed to get her in and fixed, in time. Super nice folks and very fair pricing. Higly recommend!

I think this is a great shop. I do a lot of mechanical repairs myself but when it's freezing cold outside or there's something I don't have the tools to do this is where I go. I've interacted with Dave, Tracy, and Hueston all of whom have been straightforward, fair and reasonable. If I've ever had to bring the car back for a service I've already paid for they accommodate and don't overcharge.

2 hours before a 6 hour drive I found low tire pressure. They worked me in, found a nail, repaired the tire in under an hour for a really reasonable price! Could not have been more pleased. Highly recommend!!!Service: TiresService: Tires

Had frequent repairs done here to my aging vehicle over a period of 5 years while I lived in the area. Their work was always thorough, they were honest about pricing and and where the cost was coming from, and how long the repair would take given their current workload. I would recommend them to anyone in the area, and wish there were more shops like them in Columbus.

Super friendly and as quick as they are able for the job at hand. Went for a simple oil change and they caught my sneaky little brake light that had blown and changed it. The only reason im rating this a 4* instead of a 5* is because while i didnt mind and i was capable of covering it, additional work beyond requested work should always be discussed with the customer prior to service. While i am thankful that they changed it to look out for me, i do prefer to change bulbs in pairs as opposed to singles and would have rather both been changed at once however on another note what if i had not had the finances to cover the bulb and small labor fee for replacing said bulb? It would have been embarrassing likely.So in summary, great staff, quick and friendly service. Just a few things to work out that im sure customers would appreciate.

How can you not give these men 5 stars. I bring my car here whenever I have an issue. It's fixed promptly and always done right. If you feel it wasn't, they will double and triple check their work. You can guarantee they are here to help you and not empty your pockets. Had an issue with my car quite recently. Look at it for no cost and gave me an estimate. Told me to contact Chevy support because my car shouldn't have the issues that were currently going on. Few days later, my car was covered for free by Chevy. They go above and beyond. The best mechanic shop I've been to in a long time.

My entire family (parents and siblings) has used University Motors for many years. We have bought many cars from them and had service work done for all sorts of things. Truth: Tracy and Mr. Kyger truly care about helping people. Their estimates are accurate and they always present options to reduce costs, let me know what can be delayed and what is urgent, etc. I trust them as I would friends, and after all these years they really are friends. People who have lived in Oxford know that they care deeply about their reputation for honesty and good work on your car. This business is NOT out to make a quick buck. Instead, they want to build a trusting relationship and earn life-long loyalty from their customers. They have been there for me for over 25 years, and they have never let me down in any way. My mom and dad have even longer experience with the business. You can really believe that University Motors wants to be a part of a community that helps each other and supports each other. They have a strong moral compass and the skills you need. It is a real comfort to have that kind of relationship with a mechanic and a car dealer. I trust these guys, and you can too. I recommend them to everyone who needs car help, a sound used car, or even advice about what route to take (can I keep my older car running or is it time to replace, etc.). Good people. Really good people.

Top notch auto service. Hueston & Tracy always take great care of my vehicles and me. Everything from a simple oil/filter change to major engine work is done well. The mechanics who do the work have been excellent.I have been going to University Motors for over 15 years. If you find a good mechanic/auto service you stick with it. I highly recommend them.

Unsatisfied with last transaction. Will not return. They over charge on parts, Part cost was 260.00. I found same part for 160.00 from ford dealer. If i am paying a premium labor rate, why is there a need to mark up a part so much? Repair was satisfactory. They said they need to keep the lights running. I am a repeat customer. Good luck with your transaction if you choose this shop.

They wanted to charge me $600 to replace my turn signal; ended up costing $69 at a mechanic back home. Needless to say, I'm incredibly glad I got a second opinion. Will never return or recommend to anyone, they're an absolute rip off.

We couldn't have been treated better from our own hometown dealer. Went in with a question on our Jeep and the Service Writer was so very nice and helped us immediately. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone.

True Pro's. My son's a sophomore Miami student and needed a front hub assembly for this Chevy Avalanche. Labor was VERY affordable. They were even made an exception to install a part he already had which is not very common at repair shops. Seems they go out of their way to help the local students. Workmanship was quick (on short notice) and reliable.Saw some other post where they question how someone would know if they are "locally owned". I believe all the posts I read were from a review that stated a "local company" which does not necessarily mean locally owned.Bottom line is you want to find a place who is honest and does work for a "fair" price which they do. My son is very mechanical as am I, but at school, he has minimal tools with him and would not have been able to do this himself unless back home in NY. I recommend you give these guys a shot at least once and see for yourself.

Always honest, unlike a lot of mechanics. The prices are perfectly reasonable. The ability to drop the vehicle off the night before is great for us folks that work third shift.

my daughter is a student at Miami, and she had her car towed to University Motots. My daughter knows little about cars and could have easily been taken advantage of. As It turned out, I picked the right place. the issue with the car was a very simple problem, and they fixed it promptly for very little money.. in short,They did a great job!

Mother took her car there and they did a great job with the alternator as well as fixed something else that was making a grinding noise very reasonable fee done at a very reasonable pace I would recommend
