I have years of memories here from my childhood watching my Grandpa Jack Vogt's 301 car and Jon Cline, my favorite racer! Now, I am sharing memories with my boy! There is nothing like the smell of race fuel all night. Midvale has done an amazing job over the years and maintains an awesome experience. They have merchandise, plenty of food, and nice clean restrooms. The old time photo is a pic of my dad in front of the old 301 car.

It's been 33 years since I've been here. The place has changed alot, for the better since then. I had a great time. All vendors was nice. Staff very kind and helpful. Clean place. The only downside, the spectators could have clapped and cheered alot more than they did. The driver work very hard for people's viewing and entertainment. Personally I feel the driver deserve a bit more respect (cheering, clapping, standing ovation, scream holler, jump up and down, whatever)But I had a wonderful time, with my husband, brother and daughter

We haven't been there for a few years, used come quite often, but my youngest daughter called a month ago and said that we were going for the night of destruction, what a night of entertainment, and it was their first night of this type event, and also from fairly new owners, now I'm sorry I haven't been there more often l,but ils say don't come hungry or want a hot coffee on a cold night,my cousin went for a coffee and she was gone for over an hour (no lie),when she got back she cracked it open and about cried, she said her coffee tasted like chocolate , couple other people agreed with her,so pack a lunch and a thermos and come check it out sometime,o n don't go to Denny's afterwards

Enjoyed the racing but tried to get in touch with the speedway via a letter via USPS....tried 2 different mailing addresses and both got returned. Tried to call and 2 numbers not working and the other no one answered. Great racing...well run program BUT how do you get in touch with the management?

The only reason it got 2 stars is because it started out well, and concessions are cheapest I've ever seen. Wish it was a dirt track. Once it got to main features, it all went downhill. Track coordination between Flagstand and safety crew was ridiculous. I've never seen a flag man leave the flag stand so many times ever. Drivers couldn't keep it together in any series, even if there was a $100,000 prize at the end. Race 2 laps and then spinout, 25 caution laps until next green. Race around one turn with spinout, then 19 caution laps. This went on for hours. The remaining crowd (most people left by this time cussing) would applaud just for making it 2 laps under green. But then another caution. When someone would finally win a feature, their whole family tree would run out on track and celebrate for 25 minutes on the front stretch. This is the first time I've ever left a track before completion except due to weather. But I've never seen a short track race last more than 7 hours before either. Would highly recommend not to ever come here. I know my entire group of 16 people who showed up will never be back. And plenty of other people around us that left disgusted with poor performance.

Good races. Saw a few wrecks and a few fights lol. The woman sitting beside us commentating also made it funny. If you haven't been to an asphalt track I recommend coming here

Enjoyed the racing. My only issue would be with the lack of hand rails going up to reserved seating. Being over 70 it was almost impossible for my wife.

2nd time I've been there. Great racing. But it's what happens off the track that sucks. Tonight there was a fight. (I know it happens) but as I'm walking trying to get around the the craziness. A woman who was said to be one of the owners. Comes barreling through the crowd with a golf cart. And almost slides into me. This is well after the fight has been broken up. Then she takes off and almost hits me again. No sorry or anything. She was arguing with people making snide remarks instead of being calm while she was on the radio waiting for the sheriff's department to come handle everything at the end. I'm not sure if I'll ever come back to this facility. And it's a shame because there was a lot of great racing tonight.

This is an outstanding race track. Spent many Summer Saturday nights at this track. It is definitely worth the trip to Midvale.

Don't really know what to put here as I think you'll know exactly what to expect if you gone to a race before. If you haven't, though, I'll give a run down. Loud cars (bring ear protection), wooden seats(bleacher seats work and blankets do wonders), The races go for hours so if you're planning to stay a while, either bring some snacks, bring cash for concessions, or both. It's not for everyone so I suggest you watch a video on it first before dedicating a drive there, as whatever you see is almost exactly what you'll see there (races can get boring, hence why people say the crashes are the most exciting part)

The facility itself looks great. It does have some odd features. The track is nestled in a valley, so a lot of slopes. So it might be more difficult for someone in a wheelchair or with a disability to get around. The parking is just a grass field with no lighting. They had to announce over the pa several multiple times a night that a car needed moved because they were blocking people in. They even had stuff about parking on their Facebook so I'm assuming they have a lot of issues with people parking others in or badly. The food was a little expensive. The cheeseburger was not as good as I was expecting for the price. Sandusky, Lorain, and Painesville have far better burgers. The event started great. They had the next race lined up and out on track with little delay. But as the night went on that slowed. The pits are split in two because it's on two separate levels of the hill. This caused issues getting cars to the staging area for races. The track clean up was pretty good. They had a couple that took too long. The track itself looks great. Well kept. They put down some traction compound after the heat races, but no second groove ever developed. It was disappointing because there wasn't much passing. The lead changed more because guys broke out of their qualifying times than from actual on track passing. The event also went past midnight, so that might be a bit much for some families with little kids. All in all it's a nice track. It was a two hour drive for me. I don't see myself going there for a normal Saturday night program. Now if the Ohio Wheelman Series or some other bigger event is going on then I could see myself going back.
