One guy stood at counter and was a greeter with only 2 people in store . Other told me had part at another store would have it in a couple hrs took my name and number that was monday . Haven't heard nothing. Went to a competitor and picked up . Wont last be out of business before long.

Sort of funny smyths employees have had the same attitude since the '80s. You walk in. You feel like everybody in there is mean but they're actually nice

If you need anything automotive related Smyth is the place. Other places sell parts - Smyth knows about what they are. Sure it took me a few more minutes to drive there but well worth it!

They had the cheapest prices on my starter with a one year warranty that some of the other Automotive stores weren't even offering. I've been going to this place from the time I was old enough to drive. They can be a little pricey on some of their things but the people and the service can't be beat. And there's always somebody there who's very knowledgeable.

I have been a customer for nearly 40 years. I worked for Bob Kirby in Newtonsville in the 1980 s and we always got parts from you and you became my personal parts store as well. I m not one to complain & have never had to until now. This morning I had an experience that must be shared. I walked in the 131 store approximately 10:30 AM and told the only guy behind the counter I need to do an oil change on a car. I soon realized he was on speakerphone with someone. So I waited approximately five minutes or so. The phone call since was on speakerphone I noticed it was a personal problem. The phone call had nothing related to auto parts at all. The lady he was speaking too finally put him on hold momentarily, and I asked him if he was the only one in the store and he answered yes without even making any contact or saying anything else. Never made any eye contact or told me I ll be with you in a minute or anything mentioned at all, nor looking at me, never acknowledged that I was even in the store. WOW!! I said you d rather work out a personal issue instead of serving customers? He said nothing! I left and won t be back. I have never been so humiliated in my life shopping for anything! O Reillys took care of me just fine. I don t know his name but he doesn t deserve to represent Smyth s Automotive. You want to act like I don t exist, then YOU no longer exist! 40 years is a long time but sadly has ended.

Family owned so some prices are a tad bit higher but I am happy to pay a little more considering their workers are usually more knowledgeable than most other chain stores. If they don't have what you need they can usually have it within hours. If they can't even get it they will help you figure out where or how to get it.

They disnt have what i was looking for but they normaly do. I use them for work and to get forklift batteries and odds and ends for repairs . Helpful staff if they dont have it they will direct you to a place that does.

I have had my engine project machine work done there! Bob worked the block and rebuilt it, Roger took care of the heads.. Great job!

Smyth Automotive is great I have been going there for years they are a lifesaver many times. They are a great place to go get parts and also if you have questions about your parts or your vehicles. Unlike the "zone" these guys actually know what they're talking about

I went in to purchase front wipers & a rear window wiper if available. Donny took care of me so well. He even put the wipers on my Kia. Excellent customer service!

Auto parts, normally have what I need, have had to order or go to another location for parts but that's better than not having it at all. They have parts that are harder to find and tend to be cheaper on some items. It can be a bit intimidating for someone who doesn't "work" on their own vehicle. Guessing at stuff here isn't a good idea, be sure of what you need and the vehicle you need it for. Other than that it's very straightforward and basic process. Customer service can be blunt and even on the verge of rude at extremely busy times. I dont take it personally, just get my part and go.

Been working with Smyth Automotive since I was a kid working on cars with my Dad. Always very helpful. Carry alot of the parts for older cars and trucks that other stores have to special order. Usually they're the cheapest priced in the first place, but if they're not, they price match! Definitely will always have my business!

Great customer service! They usually have every part I need in stock but if not they will do anything they can to make sure I get what I need.

These guys know their trade and are not even close to your "father's auto parts store" .... In addition, the staff is extremely friendly and very willing to go the extra mile to help you out!*Bonus- their inventory of Lucas Oil products is vast and endless.

Stopped by 5 times in the last two weeks. Spent at least 10-15 minutes in the store each time and no one would acknowledge or help me. I ve had an account here for 6 years. Guess I ll be canceling it and buying online.

Bought a battery here with warranty they quit carrying that type of battery and say it's no exchangeable . When I call the place they answer ya? Is this a place of business or what ? I remember a good family owned company when I was younger guess that's long gone .

Staff is knowledgable, easy to work with, and doesn't get in your way if you already know what you need. They also have better quality parts than other shops.

I would never use this machine shop ever again. First off there extremely rude that's its unbelievable. Second off I had dropped of 2 axels to have them press a bearing for me , they told me it would be ready at 4pm . Keep in mind I live 30 miles from the shop, I had dropped parts off at 9am . So I come back at 4 like told and they proceed to tell me they broke the axel nuts and seals that I needed to replace them but there closing for the day and I'd have to go buy parts and bring back tomorrow. They are the ones who broke it so why am I the one paying for it ?? $100 out of my pocket for something they did . I'm highly un satisfied and will NEVER buy or use smyth auto parts again.

I just want to say I go the Vera Cruz (131 store for everything because you have the best manager (Rob) who goes out of his way to help you. He is pleasant to do business with.
