On my way to work I got a screw in my tire. I quickly went to another tire place right by my office to just get the tire plugged and they said they "might" be able to get me in before 7pm but couldn't guarantee so I went to Bob Sumerel about a mile down the road. The scheduling lady on the phone said they had an opening at 12pm if I wanted to drop it off then they could get it fixed then. When I go there Jordan the Car Care Manager helped me out and I told him what happened. He said "hold on one minute, the guys are ready so I think we can work you in right now to help get you fixed up so you can get to work". Jordan was awesome. He could have just said, we'll call you when it's ready, but he went out of his way to help me out when he didn't have to. Great job Jordan Jackson!

Went to have my tire pressure light fixed in my tire sensor. They ended up fixing it and put brakes and rotors on my car as my tires were making a noise cost me $568.40 with AAA discount. That evening my muffler broke off at the flex tube luckily not at the engine side. Returned the next day and had that repaired with next gaskets cost $844.35 with AAA discount.Still have a slight squeal at front driver side. But could be rust???I am a female so not very talkative to me here. Tried talking to a couple guys they acted like I wasn't speaking to them so I walked away. My service techs were pleasant. But did get my car in before others on the 1st day. 2nd event with muffler kept it overnight. Not sure if the pricing was good or not as I said I am a female. The gentleman claimed I needed new brakes as they were at 50%.

I arrived to put air in my tire. Great free service of air they provide. It always upsets me when I see someone has damaged the air pump. Why??? It was in good shape yesterday but while filling up my front tire on my dodge caliber the valve stem broke and of course all the air came out. Fortunately the store was open and Derek was there to come to my rescue. He was able to remove my tire replace valve stem and get me going in a timely manner for my other errands on a Saturday. I recommend this store for anyone looking for quick friendly service plus they are AAA service provider. Thank you Thank you.

Bob sumerel in Milford is by far the best place to take your vehicle. Staff are very knowledgeable and also very friendly. I have taken all my vehicles there and they do an outstanding job. Wouldn t trust anyone else.

I had my oil changed here the last time, and I even brought my own oil. And when someone checked my oil yesterday I only had three quarts in it. Now mind you my car neither leaks any oil and it certainly doesn't burn any oil. This car is a 7 quart system and I brought 7 quarts to them to change it. Just my opinion but someone liked my oil so took it and forgot to fill it with junk oil. Will NEVER be back here....and if you get your oil changed here I advise you check it as soon as you leave

Did a great job on my alignment. Lifted truck, other shops couldn't or wouldn't do it. Glad I found them!

Took advantage of the free AAA vehicle inspection, took our newly purchased, used Dodge Grand Caravan to have a look. WOW we walked away extremely happy with what they had to say. They went above and beyond to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and provided us with great details and some good news about the vehicle being in "great, healthy condition" We will definitely be visiting Bob Sumerel in future.

This place used to be great but service has gone downhill. Took my son's car there yesterday to get a tire plugged or replaced. Appointment was at 11am, and at 4pm it had not been looked at yet. Then they called at closing to say they couldn't plug the tire, the nail was in a bad place. And they didn't have a replacement tire. So we picked the car up and went to Discount Tire since they had tires. They removed the nail and didn't even need to plug it. The nail was not deep and was in sideways. No plug needed. No new tire needed. Was in and out in fifteen minutes. I would never use Bob Sumeral again. There are so many better options out there.

They did a great job! About 2 weeks ago I went to Tire Discounters because one of my tires kept losing air. They couldn't find hole and said come back when the hole gets bigger...? Huh? I was already having to add air every three days! I went to Bob Sumerel and they found a nail in my tire because they actually took the time to take the tire off the rim. THANK YOU Bob Sumerel for taking the time and caring about customers!

I am not sure how this business has 4 stars??? I gave it a 1 only because I had no other choice. We called this morning about purchasing 4 new tires. We promised to be there at 10:30 and were there on the dot. 15 mins later we had our tires picked out and order written up. We were told it would be ready in a couple hours (fib number 1) and were welcome to wait or come back to pick the truck up. We left in our other car to run errands. I called them approx 3 hrs later as we had not heard from them. I was told it was on the rack and one tire was on (fib number 2). They apologized and said they had a computer problem that ran them behind, but the truck would be done by close at 6pm. We went by there about 1 1/2 hrs later and our truck was still sitting where we left it. It never made it to the rack. I went in, retrieved our keys, stated the facts, and left. I was nice, I understand things happen. But, don't fib to a repeat customer. They never said they were sorry or even tried to explain, just handed me the truck key and let this customer walk out.Good customer service going in and none offered going out. Bad business!

Wanted to update my prior review. Their Corporate HQs reached out to me to discuss the very poor service I received. First they asked if I had my AAA number, I said i did not use it for my company car, then they asked me if I had copies or the invoices I could email them so A senior manager could reach out to me. I responded " No, I threw them away, dont you have copies? its your system". They responded well I guess they could just call you with out them. its been weeks and no one has tried to reach out to me or left me a voice mail saying that they tried to reach me. I guess Bob Sumerel really doesn't care.As for the car I took it to another shop to see if they could see anything that might be causing the issue. They ran a Diagonostic for 20 minutes. Found nothing for that issue but many other things wrong, they asked me how did all that oil get splashed all over und the car, I said Bob Sumerel Tire did that when they change my oil. They would not do any work on it because Bob Sumerel had just worked on it, said I should take it back there maybe under some warranty?? I said I would not ever take anything there. The car stopped on me in Duluth , MN 2 weeks ago. The transmission was and is the issue. Bob Sumerel had my car for 5 days and charged me $2400 and could not figure out what was wrong. Please do your self a favor and do not go to that repair shop, unless they change management and techs.

I tried for several days to get someone to answer pay attention and book my Lexus oil change and check up . Over priced and under serviced .. particularly how they ignored me in the lobby and talked to each other and when I cleared my throat after a reasonable amount of time .. the man was short with me as it I was interrupting. Got the feeling he thought it was done to act like I wasn t there. No one was able to answer my specific questions about what they actually did to the car .. we re any of the tires low etc .. I felt like they had some personal issue with me and I kept trying to figure out why the rudeness . Not going back . No thanks !!

I went in oil change, alignment and to figure out why my car was clicking when I turned right. Mind you a couple months before I went in for a an alignment, needed up purchasing a package and also bought new tires. (I spent $1100) and was told I needed kits in order to do the alignment (wasn t done that day) (cost even more money) I said I d come back. So I came back a while later, and was told that whoever told me about the kits lied and my car was already aligned without them. Frustrating as I was lied to. I then was told my wheel baring needed to be replaced ($725) in order to fix the noise I was hearing. So I paid that. Sound came back. So I went to another car place and turns out I just needed new rear brakes to get rid of that noise. The other place I went to told me that a wheel bearing wouldn t have caused that clicking noise. I have now paid AAA $1800 to only get new tires and ultimately have to go to another place and spend ($500) there. I thought this place would be great. Although my tires have had no problems, my other issues were never resolved through your company. The other place did a thorough inspection and answered all my issues. EXTREMELY disappointed in your services. Will not be using ever again. I hope this doesn t happen to anyone else.

I've been going to the Milford bob sumerel for years and have told friends and family that it's a great place to go. Unfortunately, management has changed and the new manager Bill, who has only been there for a short time, is rude. They damaged a sensor on my tire when I got them replaced and told me I would have to get it reset at Toyota. Im ok with that cause mistakes happen and they had treated me great in the past. I'm told by Toyota that it would cost 300 dollars to fix. I'm also told by Toyota that the sensor they replaced it with is a cheaper part (value wise not quality) and not an authentic Toyota part(which I didn't expect to get at the time)I contact Bob Sumerel again and they told me to bring my truck in. That's when I unfortunately met Bill who is totally different from the previous manager who was a great person and a pleasure to talk to. Bill, on the other hand, may very well not know how to smile. When I told him what Toyota said about the part they replaced it with he became very defensive so I tried to explain it again but he was clearly angry. He then told me the sensor they replaced it with was not the issue and told me that all of the tires were not registering. I told him that the indicator lights came on when the tires were replaced and he now started to tell me that he did me a service by reprogramming it and tried skirting around the fact that they were at fault. This has lead me to believe this is no longer a trustworthy business.Needless to say I will not be returning for service to bob sumerel after years of going there. Sad to see the old manager left and was replaced with someone so hateful and lacking integrity. Ultimately the vehicle was reprogrammed but the damage to the relationship was already done.

I made an appointment several days in advance. I was told to be here early. I showed up at 7:30.I was told it would not be done until this afternoon. I am stuck here.I have been a customer here for years and until now have never had a problem.I have no choice but to sit here.I guarantee you I won't be back. Customer service has gone to pot.Well, they got me in sooner than they expected. They did a very good job. I feel better about them now. I will do business with them again. Thanks guys.

If I could give 0 stars that would be better. I took my vehicle here through AAA to have my brakes fixed and a couple other things done. What I got was a bad repair that resulted in my brand new brake line rubbing against my rim and brake fluid leaking all over and my brakes going out on a 55 mph road on the way home from picking it up with my 3 young children in the vehicle. I called AAA again to have it towed back there with instructions not to repair it until I spoke with someone. No one ever called me until the next day to say it was fixed. I never gave permission to fix it. I called to speak to a district manager to try and rectify the situation and still haven t heard from anyone .. two weeks later. I have photos and a video of the repair job.

I recently bought tires from Tire Rack and used Sumerel Tire in Milford to install my new Perrelli tires. What a nightmare. They installed the tires and as I drove home it was obvious there was a balance problem. Tire Rack sent three new tires as Sumerel claimed there was a problem with three of the tires. After several days wait, the replacement tires were installed but Sumerel claimed they could not get the tires balanced or there was a problem with my 2019 Toyota Tundra s steering/suspension. After returning from vacation, I took my truck to the Toyota dealer for 40,000 mile service and diagnostics of the steering as there was a serious wobble in the steering wheel. The problem was solved by properly balancing the new tires. Thanks to Sumerel Tire in Milford, I spent an additional $145 to balance the tires and rule out any steering/suspension issues with the truck.

Took my company vehicle in for service on Tuesday when I made the appointment on Friday before they said We will get it in 2nd thing. I figured a few hrs. Who ever the service advisor( didnt say his name) was said oh, its a national account, yes thats correct. So I waited 4 hrs, my car never moved, I called wife to pick me up. Drove by later still not moved. I called next am, oh yeathey never called me back with approval, I asked did you call them back ( most approvals are done in 15 mins.) Oh, well I guess I can, he said. I will call you and let you know what they say and update you on a time it will be ready. No call, so I call next morning. I gave my name, are you sure you dropped it off here? He asked, I said its the national account, huh?? Oh yea they gave approval for everything, I ordered parts should get them on this afternoon. So when can I pick it up? Oh, I will call you when its done. So next morning I called them , is it done? Oh ahhhh nope, need to align it. Our alignment rack just went down. I am calling in a tehn now. I will call you when its done. I call back about 530 pm . Is it done, ahhh no not yet. Ok I will just pick it up Sat am. Will it be done by then? Yea, should be. Sat afternoon, I go in is it done, oh yea. I ask ok take paperwork, $2500 dollars . I ask where it at? He replies well if its not out front, then its somewhere out back would be my guess. A total AHOLE response. I evaluate customer service for a living, I would recommend they fire that guy immediately. Theres no fixing the chip on his shoulder.

One of the few shops that will mount tires that were purchased elsewhere. Eric and Emmy were super nice about taking care of the mounts for me. They've earned my trust and now that the car has tires on it again I will be taking it to them for alignment, inspection, and oil change.

The guy up front was very good, worked with me on getting a good tire, and the aaa discount. They could be much better if they did the small stuff. I bought $1000 in new tires, when I got my truck back the tires were dirty, the rims smudge with grease and finger prints. Why not clean the tires, spray some shine on even, or even wipe off the rims. That was the disappointing part..otherwise they were good, but I am likely to shop harder next time if that is all they do.

I take both of my cars for service. A Mercedes SLK350 and a 97 BMW Z3. The service is quick and professional. Their prices are very reasonable. The staff is informative and always willing to discuss the problems and solutions. They are my go to service!

Took my car in for a tire patch and was told they couldn't repair it because it was too dry rotted. I was quoted $860.00 for a new set. Took it to Firestone and they patched it for under $30. Just made a 250 mile trip with no issues.

I was initially very happy with them. I broke down on 275 and had to call AAA. AAA came and picked up the car and asked me where i wanted it taken. I told them I didn't care, and they recommended Bob Sumerel Tires. The same this was Friday morning. I called Bob Sumerel and told them that my battery cable had been corroded and needed replaced. I could have done it myself in ten minutes, but figured I would just have them do it while I was at work. When I got off at 6 pm Friday, I called them and they still hadn't looked at it. They told me it would probably be Monday, but that they would try to look at it Saturday. At 12:30 Saturday they called and said it was ready. I paid $15 for a Taxi to get there, paid them $60 for a new bracket on my battery cable, and went to leave. The car wouldn't start. They put a jumper pack on it and started it. They told me to drive around for about ten miles to charge the battery fully. Reluctantly I left. I made it exactly 100 yards and the car died. I walked back up to the shop and told them that I broke down again. The office staff immediately began blaming ME! They told me that I needed to go buy a new battery and that mine was junk. I asked them why they hadn't told me this in the first place, and I would have HAPPILY paid them to do it. I finally ended up going to Advanced Auto parts and had it tested and they said the battery was shot, so I spent another $200 to fix my car MYSELF. Now, my windows won't roll up or down, and my sunroof won't work, even though both were completely fine before. All in all it was a bad situation lol. They were really nasty with me about it, and did nothing to try and make it right. A learning lesson for sure.In summary, I would not recommend this place.

I called in on Monday to see if I needed an appt for the free suspension inspection, that is advertised on the website (due to COVID), and the tech I spoke to said yes, it would be better that way, quickest he could get me in was Thursday. I hated to wait so long, but agreed and explained the issue I was having (a popping from my front end), to assure the free inspection would be appropriate to check it out. He said they'd get me looked at, and a quote for the fix all in about 45 minutes with the free inspection. On Thursday, I was unable to take my car in myself, so my mother did so for me. She was greeted by the Manager at the desk, and she told him she had an appointment. He asked her if we were fixing the car today, and she said she wasn't sure, he'd have to call me for that - once it was looked at and he had a quote. All she knew was this was an inspection of the suspension for a problem I'd been having. She figured I would likely have them fix it, as long as it was within budget. He immediately scoffed and informed her he had to "pay his guys" and would need a $49.95 fee to check out the suspension because we knew there was something wrong already? She questioned him, what an inspection was, if not looking at a problem or making sure there isn't one, and he was quite rude and stood firm that he would charge her for this inspection. So she had him give me a call to see how I wanted to proceed, since she knew I said it should have been a free inspection as listed on the site.He was rude to me instantly as I answered the phone, and gave me the run around about "needing to pay his guys".. I asked why they were advertising a free inspection if they could not perform it, and his answer was that if I had a popping noise they needed to do more work and the suspension inspection wouldn't be free. Again, no real answer as to why, even though it was advertised as such.I kept at it, asking what was free exactly since clearly somesort of suspension inspection was supposed to be, and he finally said he could throw it up on a lift and "glance at it" for me, for free. That sure instills confidence. At that point, I knew he wouldn't find anything even if he looked, or would cause problems - and they completely lost my trust that they would do an adequate job. And I told him as much.He practically hung up on me, and then proceeded to stand there and lecture my mother on the same thing. "I have a business to run and have to pay my guys"I understand running a business. My issue is with the website advertising free inspections, and me waiting four days on a free inspection appointment that I booked with a very nice tech over the phone - and then the MANAGER of all people being this rude. Making me feel badly about "expecting something for free"... it was listed on the website as such!!Had he checked it out, as he should have - and then came out and said they needed to dig deeper and there would be a fee, I would have totally understood, and accepted it. But to not even offer the service that I had set up an appt for, before begging for money was really upsetting and rude. Such a lack of customer service skills. After asking around in a local facebook group, it seems many are having this problem with the new manager. This was my first experience with Bob Summerel, and now I'm really unsure I'd try any of them again - certainly not this one.. I was planning on signing up for AAA but now I'm unsure about that too if this is the kind of people they leave in charge.
