I took my truck to them and they fixed everything that I asked for and even fixed the problem that wasn't fixed after three visits to another place. I would recommend them to anyone that needs good work done. Plus the best part was they called me and let me know how it was going instead of me having to call them I give them an A plus on service

Best auto shop we've ever done business with. Been taking our cars their for almost 10 years and they always do it right. They are honest. So much so that they've actually talked me out of spending money for a repair my car didn't need (done this more than once). And they give options if you do need a repair. Dave and the crew at Academic are legit good people.

Absolutely amazing business. I love to know the details of my automotive issue and Dave was an excellent teacher explaining the ABS tone ring issue I was having. I can t say enough good things about Dave and his team of technicians. They are thorough, honest and all for a fair price. Have used this company off and on for over 10 years. I can truly say, I have never found another mechanic operation that I know has my best interest at heart and is one whom I can truly trust. The prices are amazingly affordable and makes having repairs when needed to be done from time to time, way more pleasant and way less painful compared to other places. Thanks again to all those that made it possible at Academic, I am so very appreciative!

I gave this place a shot after a friend at work recommended them. I had my car at the dealer first, where they wanted big bucks to fix my car. I wanted a second opinion, and took my car to Academic Automotive. I will tell you these people are the most honest people I have ever dealt with. Not only did they fix my car at a much more reasonable price than the dealer wanted, they took the time while very busy to explain everything to me. I was so impressed, and since then, have been taking my car here for everything. They do quality work, and once the car is fixed, its fixed. They are wonderful about explaining options, and do their very best to work you into their busy schedule. I have found a mechanic I can trust, and will be taking my cars to Academic Automotive from now on. If you are looking for an honest no-nonsense mechanic that wants you to feel good when you leave - then call Academic Automotive. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Academic did some air conditioning work on my vehicle and I couldn't be happier! They were very easy to schedule an appointment over the phone and performed the work in a timely manner. Also their prices were very fair. I wouldn't hesitate to bring them my vehicle again for any future repairs!

Talk about finally finding an honest mechanic!!! Dave and his team do a great job. I never feel as though they are doing what's best for them, rather it's all about taking care of me and making my vehicle safe. This is more than just an auto shop, you will see that from the first visit. I have had services from oil changes, tires and a heater core replacement. They do excellent work on the little jobs as well as the big ones. I would highly recommend bringing your vehicles here!!!

These folks are great. Squeezed my car in with no appointment to fix a coolant leak, and had it repaired the next day. Dave and team evaluated the issue and provided more than one solution to fix the car and did so at a great price. Family has gone here for years, will continue to do so.

These guys were a great help! I purchased a vehicle that has been regularly serviced by Academic Automotive. I arrived and asked for any service records, which they were more than happy to supply from file. I can see they have taken good care of the van we have. They are honest and experienced. Dave went over a few things to look out for on the van. Its hard to find a family business like this that has time (even when they were flat out) to talk and make you feel at home. Happy to highly recommend these guys.

I ve used Academic for years and have always received five star service from them. Recently my daughter had car issues out of state. Being unsure of the other mechanic I reached out to Tracy to see if some comparison could be made from the last time I brought her car to Academic. Dave went above and beyond to ensure I was being given accurate information by the other shop and went so far as to call and talk to them and go over the issues. If you re looking for honesty, integrity, and a mechanic who will explain (in detail) the work they suggest, Academic is definitely the shop for you.

These guys are the best. My whole family and I have been taking our cars there for years. Wouldn't trust anybody else! Always honest, quick, and friendly service. They treat everyone like family. Academic Auto is the only place I will ever take my car. I have had such a great experience with them. My mom got her car fixed there and because of the great service they provided for her, I decided I would try them out as well. The mechanics are so knowledgeable and they really take the time to make sure they solve the problem. As a female, I trust them to not take advantage of my lack of knowledge when it comes to cars. They remain in constant communication with you while they have your car, and they are very clear and easy to understand when explaining what the vehicles problem is. I highly recommend them if you need anything done to your vehicle, especially if you are a female. They won't break your bank fixing things that don't need fixed. They deserve the business! Don't hesitate to stop by Academic Automotive for all of your car needs! They're so friendly and honest, they only sell you what's best for your car! They can help you understand any problems and give you the best options. They've helped me with my automotive conundrums for years and I'll never go anywhere else! Everyone is friendly in this family owned business. Tracey is the nicest person you'll ever meet and Dave is a wealth of knowledge!

The auto repair industry is laced with dishonest types. I hate saying that, but it is true. Once in a great while, I have found an honest shop. When I find them, usually through word of mouth, I stick with them. The only reason I change is because ownership changes or I move.Academic is the most honest and reliable shop I have ever dealt with. They do great work and are timely. I have had times where they steered me away from more costly repairs. How many shops do you know would do this? Do you and your family a favor and use these folks!!

(This company is in Liberty Township, OH, however, the zip code causes automated systems to say, "Middletown")Dave is one of the best (if not the best) mechanics I have ever used. I am in my late 60's, so I have used many mechanics, and I know when their diagnostics make sense. I will not go into a lot of detail, but, the problem diagnoses precluded me having several types of catastrophic failures on distant travel. Dave keeps at it until he finds the problem. He is NOT a superficial mechanic. Aside from that, Dave doesn't wait for a question, he takes you step-by-step into the nature of the more complex problems, answers your questions, and always appreciates the need for excellent communications. The courteous nature of Dave, his co-workers, and his wife, Tracy (she's awesome), make the process a pleasant one. I go away wanting his shop to continue succeeding in car and customer care. The same amount of work at other auto-shops will cost you as much or more, and you won't go away with the confidence of knowing... "It doesn't get better than this!"

This is the best repair shop around. I have gone here many times; mostly for oil changes, but some more intense repairs. I know I am always getting the best deal and I trust them with my car. I have never had to go back for them to fix something after a repair.Highly recommended!

We got a quote for around 2k to do a brake job and replace the air conditioning compressor. A few months later stoped blowing air out vents , went back and charged us again to fix it. The next summer on the way home from a Florida vacation the air conditioning complete went out again. So we take it in and and they say it could be thousands of dollars to fix. They said the compressor completely exploded and they ve never seen anything like it. So we ve already spent thousands of dollars on repairs and now it could cost thousands more. NOW our heat won t blow air either! No defrost no nothing

Thank you Kurt for working on my nissan ! Tracey was very friendly and awesome. I knew in seconds this is where I want to bring my vehicles. I was told on a Saturday that I needed to stop driving my Armada, that it would be expensive to fix my issue and take it to a shop. a coworker of mine recommended academic auto. I sent an email and received a quick response. Kurt was able to look at my truck on monday told me exactly what I needed and it was cheaper than what I thought it would be! picked up my truck on Tuesday, it's in great shape ! I just want to say thank you ACADEMIC AUTO ! I havent met everyone but I know you all are awesome thank you so much. I'll be back and I'll be sure to recommend to everyone I know !

Had a car problem while visiting family and they recommended Academic. They were able to give us a quick diagnostic to determine that we were safe to drive home and have the repair done later. Professional team that really knows their stuff.

Dave, Tracey, and everyone at Academic are great. I take all my car troubles to them, and I can trust what they say needs to happen -- really needs to happen. They lay out all the options, and leave the decisions up to me. I've been going to them for over 10 years, and trust them 100%. That's what it's all about with a mechanic.

Dave and crew have been servicing my vehicles for years. they know what they are doing--but more importantly, they demonstrate a level of integrity seldom seen in business. experience and honesty are a hard combination to beat in this business.

Dave and Tracy at Academic Automotive are awesome!!! Everytime I go in there I get a lesson on car repair, its great. I have never gone to a more honest and reasonable establishment. Customer for life!!!

They find the problems and fix them for a reasonable price. And when it's not worth fixing (major a/c issues on a 16-year-old car) they let you know.
